    Hello, I used a knock off of No-Fish-Nick's diver loop trick last year and it seemed to work. I don't have Nick's depth of experience to use a loop tied in my main line so what I did was tie a separate loop out of a separate small length of mono line passing through one of my micro swivel eyes. I use a micro swivel between my wire (or braid) and my leader that goes to my swivel that connects to my flasher rig. I routinely inspect and/or change out the small loop through my micro swivel from time to time to avoid break offs. I've been successful so far. I agree Tangled Tackle, NFN, Russell, and others have been very helpful. Thanks

      I do want to try that loop from NFN this year. I’ve been wondering about hot to incorporate that into my wire divers but I think you just answered all my problems haha. What size and brand micro swivel do you use? And what pound test do you for your small loop?

      @@highpointeoutdoors6958 I've used VMC Rolling swivels and Spro Power swivels. Size 8 I think....I used swivels rated for at least 40# that I had that will reliably fit through my Okuma reels. I've used both 40 and 30 lb Big Game mono for the loop. Both seemed to work fine. I try to make the loop an inch or so long, but I have used longer, and shorter loops and they seem to work fine. I have had to help the loop through the reel going out from time-to-time but that hasn't been troublesome for me. I've used both overhand and figure 8 knots to make the loop without incident. Like your videos and Happy Holidays to you.

      Can’t talk highly enough of the tangled tackle guys. I’ve had people tell me wire isn’t worth the hassle but I will put up with it because there are days that they outperform braid divers. But, same goes for braid outperforming wire sometimes

    Can you go little more into the slide diver setup I rigged up a braid slide diver setup with 30lb mono leader for the slide diver to slide on but when I set the diver it seems to really pinch the mono you can see where it was set or are you running the slide diver on the braid?

    • @highpointeoutdoors6958
      @highpointeoutdoors6958  2 года назад +1

      I haven’t really noticed an issue like that with my mono. Granted I’ll switch out my mono leader for my diver at least once sometimes twice in the season to make sure everything is fresh, especially the surgical tubing. But when I snap my diver down, I go as far up as I can so the braid is pulling at the first eye of the diver and not at the mono. But the pinching of the mono, I haven’t had an noticeable issue… yet lol

    I see you’re running dual magnums… are you running a 1 setting inside and a max/“4” on the outside?

    • @highpointeoutdoors6958
      @highpointeoutdoors6958  2 года назад

      Pretty much. The insides I put at like 1.25-1.5 and the outsides at 3.25-3.5. I’ve only ever had them tangle when a fish decides to make a hard right or left. That has happened about once a season, maybe.

      Those nifty things are called leader mattes. The company is Luna Sea Products, and you can google their website and order them from there. But you can also get them from Tangled Tackles website. Sometimes they will have a sale on them. I think they’re around the 25 dollar range still

      @@highpointeoutdoors6958 thank you for the reply. I always pick something up from different fisherman. I switched to a 10’ dipsey rod losing fish because of more forgiving rod action. I don’t trust snubbers. They dry out and it’s one more link to go wrong in my opinion. Since I switched to a 30’ ande 30lb leader using a slide diver my hookup ratio and boat lands of fish dramatically increased. It has been enjoy reel in the fish now placing the 30’ mono with stretch at the end of the wire line and there is no need for a snubber using longer mono leader. Just sharing. Thank you for sharing your information.

      @@jimdrechsel3611 Yeah I have ran into the problems numbers drying out a couple times. I try to change them every year if need be. I might have to try that 30 foot leader line since it’s working for you. A friend of mine said do 50 foot of leader line but I told him that was just way too much. But 30 foot seems much more manageable
