The corrugated trap is not code compliant.

Most plumbers will tell you the code is wrong lol I did this exact thing and for 3 years nothing happened. This works just fine its not pressurized water. Don't call a plumber to do this for you and let them charge you $600 for a $10 part

Good to hear...I'm about to do this same thing cuz my "to code" professional plumber sink repair I had done a year ago is now failing miserably. What a mess.

I applaud you taking time to help people, however as a plumber this is the worst type of trap to install. Other then violating code in a number of towns it will clog up over time!

You'll have to get a reducer adapter to bridge the difference in diameter

IPC 1002.2 Where it talks about self scouring. I don't believe this passes that test in my opinion.

About 8 years ago I replaced a sink in the bathroom and it didn't line up with the wall drain. I used flex pipe for an easy fix and it hasn't leaked. Hth's

All the “plumbers” can shut up. This drain works. If it fails in 7 years who cares its cheap and sometimes the best solution. Idk what yall are putting down your drains to have them fail so quick.

Debris will watch on the ribbed or accordian part, and the material is poop. Will last no where near as long as abs, and is way cheaper made.

@@MyProjectWeekend any “expert” will say these suck because it makes it easy diy for normal people and less work for them. As long as you aren’t using it in kitchen with a garbage disposable I have never heard of any issues. Maybe take it out and clean it every few years other then that I have had one in for 7 years strong

Sometimes it's the only solution. If you're a plumber doing it out of laziness, sure, bad idea. But a homeowner faced with impossible geometry in a tight space? Keep a spare handy. Anything is better than an actual plumber.

this is terrible. Corrugated drains should never be used, and are against code. If you don't have the knowledge or time to do it right when will you have time to do it over?

NO NO NO not to code and if you are a homeowner it can invalidate your home insurance policy 😮please do not do this ever again to any sink bathroom or kitchen! Not legal in any state!! ❌❌❌⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Everyone objects to this but nobody provides the code that makes it not legal.
