The real big buff is increased speed on H.Hado. This practically guarantees (FINALLY) it will combo after cr.MK, which is a Ryu staple since frigging EVER.
Wow, this are amazing buffs. Ryu looks more rounded and integrated in his style. But this comes to late, after years and where SF6 knocks on the door. Ryu is such an amazing character but couldnt life himself in SFV.
Bigger problem is that these don't really fix his problems with neutral and getting in. His buttons are remarkably stubby and i don't think this is going to make say the poison matchup any different

If you has some of the best defense, this 25 health/stun is nothing much. Most people agree that his nerts are as best an slight annoyance. Daigo full on said everyone should just use him as he is guaranteed to be top tier this season. VS2? Buffed, can do more damage and convertion. VT2? Buffed, even more damage and covertion. Ex run overhead? Buffed, more ender options. That's said, even if a characters is untouched, if everyone else are nerfed a lot. He is buffed by comparison.

If a both character is exactly equal, and 1 character loses 10 damages, and the 2nd loses 20 damages, they're both nerfed. Not the first character was buff. Just that the 2nd character was more nerfed.
And STILL no cross-up tatsu, and both L and M dp whiff after his jumping MP's two hits.... hopefully they'll be added in the "Definitive Definite Patch"

Capcom was really addicted to making Ryu horrible because people complained about fireballs and whatever

The V skill 2 change is entirely made for Oki, it's good against characters like Poison or Dhalsim
