Having seen Infexious play at such a high level in bracket with the most notorious dead eye stare since Tokido perfected the "murder face", it's incredibly impressive that he's also got such tremendous narration skills! Capcom hire this man for the SFVI tutorial mode.
Take this critique for how weird/normal this might sound but....i actually like listening to this guy talk. Its like im watching a documentary on animal wildlife in national geographic. Very calm, very soothing and coincidentally very informative. I tip my hat to you sir, good video.
Man your style of narration is so smooth and perfect. I think it was probably worth mentioning that invincible moves have another drawback though: they pretty much all cost 1-3 bars of meter. This results in a situation where you not only eat a big punish, and end up back on the defensive, but are now down on resources.
"Having a strong defense is that is building on an understanding of how an opponent is attacking is often what separates the pros from the rest" I will carry this quote with me. Tnks for the content and greeting from Brazil :)
You have a great voice, perfect for tutorials, actually! I think there are always players who don't know the basics, but I believe most low-level players (like me) lack in specific match-up knowledge and understanding/intuition in WHEN to anticipate certain moves and so use the appropriate tools. That's harder to tutorialize, I think. Anyway, good stuff!
Thanks for this amazing series. As a returning player to SFV, these are an absolute godsend for learning the finer aspects of the game. Blockstrings and how to apply them/defend against them would be a topic i'd love to see. All the best to you Infexious!
Had been watching a lot of your CFN fights and totally didn't realize you had a YT channel! Love how clear and concise you are in these guides. This should definitely help me get to Gold. Thanks infexious
super bronze here. thanks for this video- i’m always thinking about how to respond on wake-up based on how my opponent attacks and this really clarified the options for me
0'55" : "you can crouch block to protect yourself from MID and low attacks" : the problem is that, when you look at the vocabulary used by the game in training mode, when you turn on attack data, overheads and jumping attacks are displayed as "attack level : MID", whereas standing high punch, or any attack that can be blocked low or high is displayed as "attack level : HIGH" ! It seems that SFV training mode uses the same terminology as Tekken when it comes to attack data. That deserves to be said.
Alright this is my first infexious video. I can say this is probably one of the most clear explanations from a pro i have ever seen, and to boot the voice over had me looking to check if this was really from you with how clean it sounded. I'm definitely gonna send this to my friend who struggles with sf
Another great tutorial! Please can you show us what the mind state is for pressing buttons on defense, do you look for opponents to dash in after you have blocked their offense, or even when do you decide to press buttons on wake up....etc
Good info. I've got close captions on due to keeping sound very low. A lot of choices. I try V-Shift if the opponent can command grab, but can consider backdash or jump. Wakeup low light might be worth trying, or just blocking. Tough call. Thanks.
Right now I'm on my Grasshopper to Master (or as close as I can get lol) journey and this channel is dope. Thanks for the 💎💎💎 there were a few I didn't know about.
Your videos put in-game scenarios under a magnifying glass which I like, and I think you'd have some wise words on other parts of these games, like how to familiarize yourself with a new character. There's guides for pretty much any character you could find but some of them are more designed for experienced players, you may know what to look for in a new character or a new game
I'm new to fighting games, maining Sakura rn in SFV, but I am so glad I found your channel! These videos are so helpful and fully explained, also.. dat voice, just sayin..
Hi Infexious, I love your tone like many others do, with impressive tutorial videos! Mine if I ask where are you from? Just feel that your English is quite special, I noticed that from a few words from your pronunciation like stun, jump. But it's actually cute! xD
At 6:43 you mentioned blocking wake up CA. Doesn't take into account the multiple grab CA attacks. I suggest against characters like zangief or Mika you go into training, find their CA grab distance and intentionally shimmy around that distance if you think CA on wake up is possible
I think these videos are great for beginners to have more fun with the game and bring more popularity, plus bring more people forward to higher levels. But I know a lot of people would like to see advanced videos, like how to defend in the corner and work your way out etc. I just know your brain is full of sick knowledge. Are you building us up to it?
Very informative video thanks infexious. I'm still quite new at the game and right now oki is one of the more difficult concepts to grasp, was wondering if you would abord it at some point
I don’t even play sf but I binge watch this dude’s videos like I’m watching the Discovery Channel.
For real tho lol
Lol
haha he must be proud
Bro just start playing lol sfv is kinda hard but fun
@@pommedemer1922 I know it is, but I'm too lazy to learn a new fighting game deeply
im a Japanese student though, it's always easy to understand thanks to your clear English and kind explanation
Your English is very good.
Brazilian here, same thing to me, haha.
Spanish here, x3
Ukrainian here

...you will be able to play like the pros ... legendary lines

'almost all characters have an invincible move or critical art'
*cries in Dhalsim*
You can teleport :D
lol
Nah Dhalsim has Teleport works well, very well
@@spiritualgamerofficial it's not throw invincible
Vega would like to know your location
As a newbie player this video is legendary
Very well made!

Good point actually!
This is probably the most important tutorial video for SFV so far
🔥 great breakdown with a lot of examples and pros and cons for each alternative. I need to learn delay tech. Love this series Infexious. You the man

Gosh, you always look so calm while playing. It really matches up that you talk the same way as well.
I love when he says whiff punish into a combo something about it is satisfying

Anyway, good stuff!
The simplicity of these videos is what I needed to understand lol, and they're so basic which is great! Keep them like this!
Wow! Excited about this! Defend is always the key to win in the game. Thanks for the upload.
I thought about using V-Reversals and then realized this video is everything that isn't really discussed in game. This IS a Pro video.
V reversals should ideally be used when your stun is getting high
Thanks for this amazing series. As a returning player to SFV, these are an absolute godsend for learning the finer aspects of the game. Blockstrings and how to apply them/defend against them would be a topic i'd love to see.
All the best to you Infexious!
Eyo!
Looks like I made it to the right video lol

I have mad respect for you for creating these videos.
Thank you for making this video infexious
Perfect tutorial voice with perfect tutorials
Defending has always being my biggest weakness.
Thankfully I hope to turn it into one of my strengths thanks to your video!
Keep.up the great content

I fell missing v-reversal and walking back. Gr8 tutorial bro!!!
Much needed video as V doesn't have much defensive options. Thanks bro 👌
