A really interesting and thought provoking insight. As a creator, when pricing jewellery, it's easy to forget there's alot more to consider than the raw price of materials and the cost of making it.

In my country buying gold julery is great investment for the long run, my mother sold her ring with almost 3 times it's original value. Obviously if you bought a ring and decided to sell it at the same day its value decreases but for a period of 10 years its value increases significantly at leat where I live

True. The feeling you get can also be the investment. Society has us thinking that the term “investment,” is only for monetary purposes. But you invest into all sorts of things. So, after some thought. Yes, jewelry can be an investment. Thanks for discussing this. Always enjoy learning on your channel.

Buying jewelry as an investement isn't really good ( unless you're talking about a crown or a rare diamond, etc. You have to buy the lingot of gold and yes, it's value also has ups and downs depending on the market....as you said, buying jewelry is for the pleasure of wearing it...and of course it will still worth the metal and stone (some kind) and find a good place to sell in the retail market, because it's true there those who will try to take advantadge, if you let them. It takes research to find something fair.

We tend to keep our jewellery for our family, it's a tradition, it is called heirlooms. Sell it, never.

sad, pawn brokers love to tell you why your property is worthless when you're most desperate. tell me again how global labor effected the value of my piece xD xD

Its not the fact that the items are worthless. Its the fact that they buy based upon the metal and stone weight that is applicable on that day. They don't buy the labour costs etc as these have already been paid for. Price of gold goes up and down daily too.
