- ABOUT THIS EPISODE: Jaylen Wilson, owner of Salvage Boyz in Hampton Virginia, is the subject of our thirteenth episode of the show. Which is cool because he's only 13 years old! And he's already a successful salvage and repurpose entrepreneur, having opened his thriving salvage and vintage store over a year ago. With the help of his mom and the rest of his supportive family, Jaylen is always out on the prowl for items he can get cheap to sell for profit. Doing everything from picking side walks on trash days to scouring local thrift stores looking for hidden gems.
And he's got a good eye for potential. In fact, he's developed a loyal following from local flippers who flock to Salvage Boyz to find cool pieces at fair prices. Although he loves being a supplier of project pieces, he has started to develop his own style in terms of repurposing and upcycling items too. He's already created things like the funky mailbox that sits in front of Salvage Boyz, upcycled from an old computer. A cool piece of functional art repurposed from old records and a worn out lamp. And even furniture, like a unique side table he made from old cabinet doors and desk drawers.
Jaylen might be an old soul, but his youthful energy is fun and contagious, so you definitely don't want to miss out on this awesome episode of the Salvage Upcycle Show.
