Pulling food out of a dumpster and then giving it away to people that are in need without telling them that it was in a dumpster. Am I the only one that sees something wrong in that?
You know that food is one thing that homeless people never go without? People have a misunderstanding about homeless people and food. Pretty much any City in this entire country homeless and the poor are able to eat five times a day. It's so common that people give away food that homeless people literally give away a lot of the food they get because they can't eat it all. And these people are pulling food out of a dumpster and giving it to people that do not know that it came out of a dumpster. When the same people could easily go down the street and get a good meal that did not come out of a dumpster. These are terrible people I don't care what you say. They're cheap and they're literally making people eat dumpster food. If you told me this I would think that they would be charged with a crime. But here you are literally saying it's a good thing here on Vice TV? Are you kidding me?

I worked for a supermarket for a few years and basically everyday we had to throw out good food because it was expired. Even though it was our policy that we don't allow dumpster diving (legally it's theft where I live ). I only threw out dairy/meat/eggs but I left other stuff that was still good next to the container for people like these to pick it up.
I'm curious as to why markets consider it theft? i understand that the product is still on their property but if it's in a trash can, i feel like that would be an indication that they are disowning that product. i would LOVE it if the markets and restaurants donate stuff before they throw it away

As a thrifter myself, everything in this video relates to what I do. Not only do I help find items that were destined for the dumpster if not purchased or found, but I help find items that people want that they may never have found or found for the price they could afford. Add to that the best part which is the money I make and this is a very healthy and environmentally friendly job. Often I've thought of quitting my day job as the business has almost doubled each year for the past 4 years. But I gotta have those benefits...
“Pitter patter, let’s get at’er”, I love this! These two are great! I hope you get your Boat. Just remember when buying, low-ball the sh*t out of them (you’ll be shocked at how badly some people want to get rid of their money pits, I mean boats ;2) and take your time and see everything. It’s a buyers market out there on used boats. In a lot of cases, the trailers are worth more than the boats.

One time my brother carried a rug home on his bike it was worth thousands. Now I buy storage units Im definitely addicted to hunting through junk.
Incredible, I had worked for the local trash man in my town and I had come across numerous things I kept for myself. Numerous pots and pans, large collection of vinyl records, air conditioner, and my favorite, an Xbox One that I spent maybe $25 to fix and it runs like a champ now.
Definitely! Also, Facebook Marketplace is good for people who don't want to pay shipping, can pick it up (like Craigslist), but are still willing to pay the eBay price
I can see him sitting at a bar bummed out about his relationship on the rocks and his friend tells him, man just leave her. She's only with you for your trash!

@@icantstandsbmm8880 Maybe not the milk or lettuce. But goddamn I would eat those dozens of bags of potato chips or such things that barely expire.
@@icantstandsbmm8880 - If the food is still in their packaging and it's not past the expiration date, I don't see a problem.
This was wholesome.
This couple is mad cute!! Loll their story is so wholesome love to see it!
“Pitter patter lets get at her”..... she’s a fan of LetterKenny!!!!
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! 😭
Lol too late, they got the boat near the end of the video
You know, that episode was just so soothing to watch.
The epitome of NGAF I love it when you find love nothing else matters I know!!!! Well done👏🏾👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏿
He does find a lot of valuable stuff in dumpsters. He found his wife in one!
I used to go dumpster diving a little at grocery stores and food manufacturers and this video honestly makes me miss it. I love that these two are diving for things to scrap as well as food and giving back to their local community by doing so. Very cool
Finding a good side business that actually uses all your talents (opposed to the company you work for) is amazing.
Two raccoons at heart found each other. Cute 😌
Nothing but respect for this couple.
They met while dumpster diving that is so awesome! I started dumpster diving when I was 10 years old my brother and I knew all the good spots. People used to throw there gold eye glasses away. One time my brother carried a rug home on his bike it was worth thousands. Now I buy storage units Im definitely addicted to hunting through junk.
This is the best one so far and I’m biased because she and I work in the same industry she would literally make my schedule haha
what's your Skype handle chomo?

Incredible, I had worked for the local trash man in my town and I had come across numerous things I kept for myself. Numerous pots and pans, large collection of vinyl records, air conditioner, and my favorite, an Xbox One that I spent maybe $25 to fix and it runs like a champ now.
This guy is a legend! Dating an attractive taller girl and having a boat!
Taller girl = may as well be gae
@@jaysalisbury193 maybe you are gay if that's how your mind thinks
Tall chicks are hot.
I'm glad to see someone recycling stuff that would end up in a landfill.
They are helping themselves, the community and the environment as well as other people find things at reasonable prices. Nothing but respect.
Up-cycling and reusing is good for the environment
*Bruh imagine finding love in a dumpster ? its one in a billion chance of pure love i wish them all the best*
That's so awesome! He found a wife in a dumpster. Not many people can say that.
They're such a cool couple.
Relationship goals. FR tho these 2 were meant to be, they have the exact same personality traits
I guess I’ll go to eBay to sell my two receivers, two turn tables, dual cassette deck and cd player. All pioneer.
Definitely! Also, Facebook Marketplace is good for people who don't want to pay shipping, can pick it up (like Craigslist), but are still willing to pay the eBay price
You got the two turntables, but do you have a microphone?..
@@GraceInnovations yes but sold it a long time ago.

I respect his work ethic. He drew a map of all the dumpsters in his city.
He found his wife in a dumpster. That's awesome. One man's treasure.
6:44 these two are absolute goals, this is the kind of relationship I want
They seem genuinely happy. I wish I could have a life like this.
As someone who used to lived in a developing country this dumpster diving is really common place there's even a junk shop industry worth millions
This couple is absolutely legendary.
This was a frickin' awesome story! Thank you guys, for sharing it with us.
I can see him sitting at a bar bummed out about his relationship on the rocks and his friend tells him, man just leave her. She's only with you for your trash!
Good for them. Harmony in a relationship is a special thing.
How incredibly rare and awesome to find someone you can share a niche passion with 🥰
This man is so good at dumpster picking that he even found love in one. And a beauty.
Lmao gotem
This is funny. I wrote a book called "The kid who ate from the dumpster" and to see grown people doing it and talking about introducing there kids to it brought back a lot of memories . more power too them and Yahweh bless.
Bennett ????
Definitely one of my favorite videos on FB. Best to Erin and Dave!
Goes to show, everyone have a match somewhere. Goes dumpster diving comes out with a relationship. * Flux Capacitor Nice !
I love that they also help their neighbors...amazing way to give back!
So many lessons to be learned from this video. Great Job Vice!

This is nothing new, people in my state have been doing since transfer stations/dumps came into existence. We have local thrift shops that do the same as these people. "One man's trash is another's treasure."
Watched this on TV but had to get on here and leave a comment ... Thanking Vice for the episode and praising one of the coolest couple ever 👌👌
