SHOW SUMMARY
This follow-up to the popular "Teen Titans" series takes a more comedic look at the superheroes, showing what life is like for the teens when their capes come off. Funny things happen to Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg between saving the world and being regular teens, living together without adult supervision. The teens, in their ordinary lives, deal with the everyday issues of adolescence that include such important things as having staring contests to determine who does the laundry and going on a series of quests to construct the perfect sandwich. To be honest, I first saw TTG as a chibi spin-off instead of a reboot.

Because it is pretty unfair to original fans. Think if they brought back Serenity for example but it's now a slice of life cartoon. There's also the fact that fans were really worried that Go would "replace" the og show.

I respect your unbiased opinion of this cartoon, and these episodes looked hilarious. It's analytical but fair, keep up the good work.
Without comparing it to the original, it is a good review judging and giving the show its own merit and writing standards.

My problem with the show is that they want their cake and to eat it to...they don't want to be compared to the original show and yet they copy, take and or toll various plot threads, ships, characters and relationships that only could have come from the orignal show.
the whole beast-boy raven thing was a fan ship that existed in the original show, the whole Tera plot and raven's father...all from the original show in fact they copy the exact character designs and voice actors...
they even did a whole episode remake of an episode of the original show where beast boy ties to buy a moped by working for an evil piece of tofu...like a scene for scene remake of that entire episode ... also with the same voice actor for the piece of tofu (Rob Paulsen)
You cannot claim the show is it's own thing when they clearly and explicitly went out of their way to copy the original show verbatim...
and if it was intended as a parody of the original show as many people claim, then how come their primary demographic is kids who never saw or were alive when the original show was on in 2002-2003...almsot 15 years ago?
If that was the case why did they specifically target those same plot points, characters, ships, and all of the original voice actors...for a show that their primary demographic never once would have seen or been familiar with?
not much of a parody in that case, specially since among fans who did see the show, it is horribly hated by the vast majority of them for those exact reasons.
It’s about as good as the Harley Quinn show if you’re not comparing it to the original teen titans so 3 out of 10

This review honestly made me reconsider how I felt about the show, at least season 1 was apparently surprisingly good for what it presented itself as.
Lloyd Irving My younger brother says that season 1 is the worst season of the show. There are days where I agree and days I don't. The only consistent thing I have been saying about season 1 was that the animation was at its worst.
I could forgive the animation.
The problem is the humor.
It just isn't there. It's all motion, and loud noises, and hoping to god the keys you're jingling will keep the babies entertained until the credits roll.

I thought I was the only one that actually likes the romance in this show more than 2003 Teen Titans. I also agree with #1 and #3-5 as some of my favorite TTG episodes.This is a great list.
The romance in the '03 Titans was pretty bad. It's what you'd expect really; it's about teenagers, they have all the relationship skill of a 14 year old.
This show? The romance is non-existent. It's like it was designed by a robotic marketing drone, who cannot feel love himself, attempting to mimic the most generic human physiological reactions and behaviors related to romantic interactions.

I'm really glad somebody is giving ttg a chance! I know its defiantly no masterpiece but as you can see from this list it has some pretty great episodes!
I'm probably one of the only people who can tolerate ttg. It barely airs where I live and some episodes (like the ones you put in here) are okay. The problem is that for some reason people can't stop being salty about how this show is trash, horrible, etc and then calling the people who kinda like it "idiotic 9 year olds". Seriously the hatedom of ttg is ridiculous.
I can tolerate TTG, but why overhate TTG when you can hate other stuff. Everyone has a different opinion. Why do you hate TTG when the hatedom of TTG is basically random. If you hate it, then go to the TTG Hate Fandom..

Proto Goku I just like to pretend that the original doesn't exist when they do that. Don't get me wrong. I love TT just as much as the next guy, but it actually becomes pretty funny when they make fun of a show that doesn't even exist. Also I love it when TTG insults its critics. I kind of wish more shows did that. While I have nothing against the critics personally, I just think it's nice for them to get a taste of their own medicine.

Alpha Jay Show I like that you took a show that everyone pretty much despises and made a top 10 best episodes from it. It doesn't feel like you are just jumping on the hate train, it feels like you have something good to say and pointing out that this show has some merit to it.
I really liked this review! I feel like this show had potential to be super funny and comedic, and it actually has some good concepts for episodes, they just didn't go into the right direction when making them. Still not the worst thing that ever aired on TV.

I can't say much about liking TTG much. But I've seen all of these episodes and have to agree these were the ones that I myself also enjoyed and were the ones that made me realize that there was potential for the show to actually be funny. Sadly most of the rest of what I've seen outside of these episodes has always been either annoying, devoid of humour and just boring. I think my favorite was the Jinx and cyborg episode from season 1 though. It was the first episode I saw from them that actually not only made me laugh but was also entertaining enough to actually change my opinion of the series a little.

They do talk about it more, but Mr. Enter seems like he's the only one who takes it extremely personally. He basically goes into "loud outrage mode" about ttg, when the other cartoon reviewers just kinda go over the reasons why the show sucks. Plus 12 year olds actually like ttg, unfortunately. That's why it has the highest ratings on the network. :(

They still use the old spongebob instrumental music, you can literally hear it in some of the Loud House title cards.

They've used The Best Day Ever in a title card a couple times earlier in the first season and some other music from the show in the title card. I just took note and though I'd bring it up since I remembered it happening once before. I didn't mean for my comment before to sound rude if it did
Some of the old Spongebob music used in Loud House title cards were used in Ren and Stimpy.
I thought this was a very good video. You made me watch an 90 minute video about ttg and you didn't just say these were below average, you made it entertaining. Keep it up

Alas Robin and Starfire are not a couple and will never be a couple if the episodes that take place in the future are any indicator. Robin marries the female Robin, Bat-girl.
My favorite episode is either colors of raven or burgers vs burritos, also while it is sad people don't give these episodes the respect it deserves but to be fair the new episodes and the over scheduling it had a while back has kinda left it soured it for many

I kinda used to watch TTG back when its not a mein fuhrer from now. Now, I probably saying that TTG was trying hard but left into a serious downfall that led from PG to G rated.
Plus, I have'nt watched that 20% 20% 40% episode in which it's the only one that has influence on the original.

Jinx is far better written in TTG! More consistent and they kept her a villain.
I like season 1 because the Characters were themselves but funny, beast boy and cyborg were a bit dumb but can put up a fight , Starfire was not aware of how earth works like the first season of the original searies but still kind hearted, Raven is just perfect, Robin is sorta uhh out of character but that was my only grip. But season 2 and forward really wouldn't stop making the characters more selfish, dummer and out of character

@@annikamarcelo3523 Tbh when you're not comparing it to the original or when the shows not using its meta humor as it's plot, the shows decent and has its moments. Season 1 is what I like the best as it felt more like a slice of life comedy spin off of the original with the characters not being as unlikable as the seasons drag on.

I think I read somewhere that the song ‘Fade Away’ was actually written by Beast Boy’s voice actor. And that his VA had written it with a blind person.
Even though I’m not sure if it’s true, I have to give props to the writers for that.
I personally liked the earlier seasons of TTG. I laughed more than the newer episodes. After the movie came out I hoped it be good, and it was amazing. I do have high hopes that the series might get better (sorry for my English ;-; )

Don't think for a moment I'm putting the original show on a pedestal; there's a reason it got cancelled. It was better than TTG, but it was still mediocre at best.

I noticed that very first time I watched that episode, right down to the rainbow. My brother told me I was overthinking it.
Wow interesting... I like it when there are LGBTQ+ people in kid cartoons.
There was only rainbows in that episode. Not a bi flag or something. Of course there will be rainbow on that episode,it is literally the theme.
10: (seen it) I actually liked this episode. I thought it was sweet that Starfire was acting... “evil”. I also have to admit, Starfire’s villain outfit looks amazing!
9. (Seen clips) I guess the episode was okay. Have to admit, I’m usually a sucker for love stories.
8. (Haven’t seen it) It actually looks pretty interesting. Some of the clips made me smile too.
7. (Seen it) Like I said, sucker for love stories. This one was adorable. Cyborg was pretty funny in this one. Also yeah, the piano music that played, it got stuck in my head for a while. It’s so pretty!
6. (Seen it) Idk, I thought it was kind of boring. I could tell that it wasn’t a terrible episode. Good enough I guess.
5. (Seen it) I think it was one of the first episodes I’ve seen with ttg. This was also my first impression of Jinx, and I immediately liked her. I can’t help it. This episode, was FUN.
4. (Seen it) Beast boy x Raven is pretty much one of the biggest ships in this show, and hey I’m not complaining. I think it’s pretty cool how much the fandom is into it. This episode was enjoyable to watch, and I can’t really say anything bad about it.
3. (Seen it) On my first impression, I thought I was going to not like this episode. I was getting tired of beast boy being oblivious and STILL liking terra after all of that. It was satisfying for Raven to prove beast boy and to snap him out of it. Yet, the scene when beast boy was hurt, man I wasn’t expecting everything to suddenly get emotional. Yeah, this episode was good.
2. (Seen clips) That milk mustache scene was stupid, yet I can’t help but enjoying it. It’s somehow just kind of charming. I’ve seen one silky scene with Sonya. Again, stupid, but I like it. It looks really fun.
{all of the honorable mention clips look pretty funny, and the episodes I recognized weren’t that bad either}
1. (Seen it) I wouldn’t agree with this as a number one choice, but this episode is pretty funny and I think it’s actually memorable. Again, can’t really say anything bad about it.
Not a TTG fan, but I still catch myself liking these episodes. I’m really glad you did this list. Even though I don’t bother watching ttg on tv, it was kind of tiring to see everyone just blinded with hatred that they can’t even find the tiniest bit of enjoyment. Again, I’m really happy you brought up these episodes onto the spotlight.

LOL I loved the colors of raven too. Best scene joke was Pink Raven getting sucked into the crystal and Beast Boy and Cyborg are now eating garbage when her magic gets taken away. It cracked me up every time... and I swear its a reference to coming down from a hallucinogenic high.

I feel like most people who hate on TTG, are people who haven’t even watched it and thinking it’s horrible just because of the media. Some people think it’s truly horrible and bad. I think it’s very good but there where the occasional bad episode that I didn’t like.

Boy, this is a breath of fresh air. Actually I'm biased. It feels so good (for me) to see a reviewer who doesn't just blindly bash this show, with the exceptions of 40% 40% 20% and TTG VS. PPG. In my opinion, 40% 40% 20% is an okay episode, but it's overrated. As for TTG VS. PPG, to be honest, I didn't enjoy it. I don't know why, but when I saw it, I didn't enjoy it. And I'm really glad to see this video, because I really love a lot of the episodes on this list!
I know I should probably wait till the episode is over but I feel like sharing my all time favorite teen titans go episode which is the Oregon trail episode.

I grew up with TTG so I actually like it. It's just the godly amount of TTG episodes aired on CN, that I always watch it. I like the original too, but it just wont be get merchandise sales and ratings like the reboot. One thing I LOVE about the reboot is the romance. Slow burn in the original is just boring. But I dont really get to see TTG doing bad to OG fans, cause CN was out of my TV for 3 years

TTG just isn't my taste, I think the humor is a bit childish.

Thank you for this video. It's so nice to see a cartoon reviewer who doesn't blindly bash Teen Titans Go. Sure, it has some episodes that are downright terrible, but besides that, it's a good show-not amazing, but good. It does what it's trying to do, so I hate it when people call it out saying it's nothing like the original.

The only episodes I fully remember are The Colors Of Raven and I forgot its name but it's the episode where Beast Boy turns into a gorilla and forces Raven, Starfire and Cyborg to act like gorillas too. But Cyborg actually helps Robin out of the Zoo
Just saying, the animation on silky in Starliar is the best I’ve seen for silky in any episode. I love the cute style he has! Why did they change that
What's funny about Tara dating Aqualad in this episode is that their voice actors appeared in Ben 10 Alien Force as important main / side characters, where their characters (Gwen Tennyson and Michael Morningstar) had a brief fling in an episode.
"Opposites" is the first episode I really enjoyed of the show. I wasn't annoyed or frustrated much throughout the episode.
I actually felt genuinely happy when seeing Jinx and Cyborg showing affection or love to one another. It's funny and innocent enough for me.
So, I grew up with this show rather than the original, and while I have to admit it is pretty terrible now, I hate that almost everyone else thinks it’s always been trash. I understand having something you loved become trash (Avatar last Airbender to the movie that doesn’t exist), so I see where many are coming from, but I’m glad to see someone looking at the possitives of this show

Your number one favorite episode is a really good one. I watched it after watching this video. And I noticed that “Colors Of Raven” is similar and reminds me of the original Teen Titans Episode “Nevermore”. Which is an episode were Beast Boy and Cyborg use this magic mirror and go into Raven’s mind. While they’re there, they meet different Ravens, each one with a different emotion. Like in “Colors of Raven”. So I agree with you that the last one is the best.
Also, I really enjoy your vids!
My favorite is The Night Begins To Shine 2. It stands out against most of the show. The usual show: poopoo. Pee. Haha twerking funni. Funni random humor haha lollllll Cartoon Network trying to be rad.
The thing I was talking about: pretty much none of that, fun adventure with unique style.

Huh, guess I just caught all the stinkers when I gave this show a chance. The only one of these I remember watching was “La Larva Amore,” but I think that was after the gorilla episode already left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s shame the show ultimate had a poor good-to-suck ratio.
not going to lie here, when I saw Robin kissing the moon in the "Starfire the terrible" episode...
I had a feeling that Soka was going to boost like Sonic in Dragon Road Day act 1 to beat the heck out of Robin. Sadly, we never got to see that.
Update: Starfire blew up the moon. Now Soka is looking to learn how to get to 0.0001 percent of Ultra Instinct Shaggy's power to destroy the show.
That lying one was actually good. I give you my respect for actually giving some decent episodes. Though I feel that some of the executions of these episodes could be way better.
But it’s some of these episodes that have awful messages that bother me. It’s not the show itself. And I don’t hate it but it needs drastic improvements or a redo. It has some potential but it needs thought because the creator even said that it needs to be stupid for kids.
If they put more heart into this and thought it might actually be really good.
I just hate some of the morals. But thanks for shedding some light to this.
