Watched this fight a lot of times, Duran seemed blunt and off it, and by god, you had to be on your game to face this Hitman on smoking form, lamb to the slaughter.
Yesssssss dats a fact ! I think Duran had got to ahead of his self being he had his lifestyle , Notoriety as well as being the older fighter of the two and it didn’t work in his favor Tommy Hearns was a problem back then multi divisional champion to 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🥊🥊🥊
Duran is one of the best, ever, but on that particular night he was facing a monster in the ring. This was the the best version of Tommy Hearns, and at his best, The Hit Man was extremely dangerous for any opponent.

U made a couple good points to consider but that why I respect Duran more then most fighters these days he was older and fought a younger fighter ! Duran had a big heart and love for da ring !!! Tommy Hearns was a force in da ring as well can’t take nothing from him 💪🏾💪🏾

Drinking and doing the nose candy and not training properly but Tommy was just too big and rangy and powerful for Roberto to handle

Never was Durán seen looking so powerless, wonder if there was something wrong with him, without taking anything away from Hearns.
Naw I respect ur perspective I watch a lot of film of different boxers bro I will say far as Duran Goes I kinda felt like he was off and I dunno if it was he got besides himself a lil kinda like Errol Spence did wit Crawford ! I say that because Duran was a Monster and Feared so maybe he got on his high horse against the wrong opponent ! All in all I am a Big Duran Supporter tho have a huge respect and admiration for what he brought to da game !!!
@@karbon12boxing No doubt he was a great, and that is precisely why this fight was so different. He looked drained, not confident at all, punches thrown with no plan or strategy and I would say he looked even scared. Many people would be running after being punched even once by Hearns, but for someone like Mano de Piedra to be beaten so badly within two rounds was very very strange indeed. Greetings Bro.
