Totally agree, iOverlander is a game changer for vanlife and camping. I did vanlife with a VW California through Europe for 3 weeks last summer and it was the most reliable for finding wild camping and actual campgrounds. And obvi Google Maps 😆
The one thing I will disagree with is the tinder comment. One, that's not old fashioned. Two, that's more dangerous on the road. Three, tinder is and is becoming more forwarded towards hookups and lack of real connection. Paid apps keep more of those kinds of things, especially creeps, away. But they arent perfect. But they have to be paid for both sides. Not just men. The old fashioned way is going to events and staying in the area for a month or two and finding someone else who actually likes travel. Or if it is an area you could see ypurself moving to for love, coming back often and lingering longer than most other places. Just remember, dating has become generally dangerous these days and doing it on the road can be even more hazardous.
Growth of vanlife and social media on travel in general is making a lot of places crowded. Hopefully there are more apps like Harvest Host dedicated to creating experiences specifically for Van Lifers that also benefits the local business / communities without taking away from nature

I Overlander: way too many users, makes all the places too well known & over-crowded. Use it only in emergency situations.
