I love the use of eco flow but the battery layout I feel is a little messy. make a frame put 2 on the bottom 2 on the top inline and the fuse panel facing the back. that would make a much more usable garage and easier to service. but great van seen in person lay outs great fit and finish is amazing keep it up

That’s bad ass!😊😊 I want the big sky moonroof thing so I could climb on to the roof from the inside. Also being alone I could speak to anyone that’s outside the van safely if it were night or I’m just uncomfortable! Nice build!

I have some Owl products on my van but my back door rack base is from Avatar Offroad. They don't get enough love on these Van build videos.

Haha, thank you, looks like our internal name is way catchier than the name we had "The Modern Van"
The one thing I will disagree with is the tinder comment. One, that's not old fashioned. Two, that's more dangerous on the road. Three, tinder is and is becoming more forwarded towards hookups and lack of real connection. Paid apps keep more of those kinds of things, especially creeps, away. But they arent perfect. But they have to be paid for both sides. Not just men. The old fashioned way is going to events and staying in the area for a month or two and finding someone else who actually likes travel. Or if it is an area you could see ypurself moving to for love, coming back often and lingering longer than most other places. Just remember, dating has become generally dangerous these days and doing it on the road can be even more hazardous.

How tall is the guy in the van? I'm 6'3" and he makes the van look huge.
5'8". The interior height is 6'2", and the bed is 6'6" in length. We also add a lot of insulation under the floor and above the ceiling. Since these are custom vans, if the client wants to sacrifice some insulation for more height, we can accommodate that.
Awesome build guys, three questions for you. AWD or 4x4? How does it do in the sand? There are NO videos online of the all-wheel-drive system in sand. There are only 4x4 videos. I’m curious how the van handles (without rear locker) What are you using to charge the battery bank other than solar and shore power? The EF alternator charger will take days to replenish your massive battery bank! What’s your special sauce? Lastly, why Webasto over Espar? Again awesome build cheers 🙌🏼
Hello and great questions. The van we have here is a 2024 AWD 144WB. We had some pretty deep sand getting there, and this cruised through easily with the tires aired down. Most people prefer the AWD over the 4x4, which was discontinued since the 2023 Sprinter. Overall, the AWD drives a lot better, has better fuel efficiency, and is more user friendly, but the 4x4 still holds a special place for serious off-roaders. The EF charges 1.1 kwh hour through the alternator, so less than 15 hours on it alone. As for Webasto / Espar - we choose Webasto because it has a HQ in the US, it's widely used in the marine world, which means easy access to parts & servicing, and we are also certified Webasto installers. Hope that helps!
@@brooklyncampervans Thank you for this information! 15hrs, I think we can see the aspect EF overlooked. Still 1.1 kwh is better than EF 800w. If you find yourself on the beach again, you folks should make a video of deep sand crawling in the AWD. Cheers!

Why Sprinter over Transit?
Love the tilt up bed but I would say the sections where the uppers are, be able to tile the bed more to sit more upright to look towards the front of the van, and also to enjoy the view out of the back of the van.
Thanks! Yes the bed could tilt up higher. I think it was on the lowest setting in the video. If the client wants it, we can also tilt it the other way too.
5 days of battery but only ice cubes and popsicles in the freezer. Every single build I’ve seen need a larger freezer, and could also use a larger fridge.

The garage is massive and there’s plenty of battery to run a portable chest freezer. Problem solved.
