The only MM11 review that'll matter!
@@Captain_Neckbeard opposite reviews I wonder who will be people go with, personally I will be getting it anyways cause it looks fun
Facts
@@Captain_Neckbeard colins review was great. I like his review because he doesn't gush allover the game.
You can definitely trust "gush-fest reviews" if you share tastes with the reviewer. The review is genuine. You can't ask for more than that. Would you rather reviewers recolor their real opinion and reactions? Sounds like you'd be receiving a less authentic review that way that gives a false or muted impression of how the reviewer feels.
Personally thought Colin's review was too cynical and get the idea that the only way a sequel is good in his eyes is if it's like Mega Man 9 and 10.
Rob's thoughts on this is the only review I need ✔️
Hey Riff, good to see you around!
I agree, I feel like Rob is a Canadian version of myself.
He looks like he is going to explode if he doesn't get to talk about MM11 right away.
*I could not wish for more expertise on this game to be reviewed!*
Monster Hunter World, Mega Man 11, DMC V, RE2. Keep em' coming Capcom!
Just make sure they keep the garbage microtransactions out.
Most definitely!
I don’t like DMC, but aside from that it honestly feels like Capcom is back. You forgot the beat-em-up collection though.
Capcom is on the redemption road and succeeding.
now we only need rivel school and capcom can tranform to capgod
Gotta love Rob's passion and enthusiasm! It's always infectious.
theboredcyborg I’d love it if he made a channel, doesn’t have to have a set schedule as he’s stated before he works a lot. Even if he uploaded every once in a while would be sick.
I agree. But, he does have a family, and from what it seems, a very demanding job. Either way, it's always a nice surprise when he pops up on Johnny's channel. The two have amazing chemistry.
@@StelmachsWorld He does have a channel.
Amen
He must have a great coke dealer 🤣
Rip Mighty Number 9.
Rip Inafune.
Once considered the father of megaman, now forgotten and found out to not actually know what he is doing.
I agree. I'm glad that mighty no. 9 showcased the real inafune. He is more of a business man than a creator. Its understandable why capcom didn't want to give him too much power, which lead to him quiting. Tho at the time, we antagonized inafune for it.
+tjlnintendo: We should never hold people or groups up so high as to think they are faultless or are the "best" for the job. Another example is "Sonic Team". Some people still think they are the "real" Sonic developers when most (if not all) of them actually never worked on the originals, and even for those who did, they have messed up so much that we need to realize that some "ROM hackers" who love Sonic can do a FAR better job of continuing the series than the official "Sonic Team". Also, Yuji Naka didn't come up with Sonic, but rather programmed the physics of the game (which was extremely important, but he was held up as the "father of Sonic"). And even Naoto Ohshima didn't have anything to do, as far as I know, with the level designs and other aspects. A huge number of famous "musicians" have their songs written for them by those behind the scenes. They simply provide the voice and perhaps some flashy moves. And then we have Takashi Iizuka of Sonic Team, who has done pretty much nothing good and lots of bad to the series, and some people still look up to him. It shows how egos and idol-worship often overshadow actual excellence, which can come from those you might not expect.
He was incorrectly considered the father of Megaman.
Awesome to see Rob back! I always love his energy XD
Don't forget the onimusha remaster
@Veggie Gamer: Yeah, it's refreshing to watch a review by enthusiastic gamers and not the "angry" RUclipsrs reviewing it with negativity.
Honestly, just knowing that Rob was happy with the game puts a smile on my face. I remembered the video you two did on everything that led up to Mega Man 11, from Inafune leaving Capcom to Capcom shelving Mega Man to Meager Number 9, and to see Rob this happy that the game is this good... I can only be happy for him.
Prairie Boy Gamer when you put it like that, it’s strange to think that we have a new Megaman when just s few years ago that seemed like an impossibility.
Great review! I'm so hyped for this game! I liked Megaman 8, so more of that feel is good in my book!
Always love seeing rob show up 👍
Whoa! Glenn Plant! I used to watch your videos all the time years ago but it’s like you disappeared (classic RUclips). Now I look and you have loads of vids.. Time for some catching up!
N64 Glenn Plant cool seeing you here Glenn! Always nice seeing a youtuber supporting another :)
Not going to lie I had a smile on my face seeing you two in this review. Reminds me of the old days. Love seeing you two again. This video in general made me happy. Seeing rob all happy, johnny being great as ever, it just awesome seeing this video with two of my favorite gamers. Love the video a lot, I hope to see more Johnny and rob videos in the future.
You guys have an amazing way of transferring your enthusiasm through to the audience. I'm hyped for this game just watching you two.
Great video as always John/Rob.
I’ll be honest, this is the only review I’m watching before I play the game tonight. I wholeheartedly trust Rob’s opinions on Mega Man, and I am so excited after watching this. Great review guys!
Jeff Here is a secret. That’s exactly why people like them.
I hit the like button before watching the video (normally don’t) but RobMan reviewing a new MegaMan game, how can it not be great!? :D
Wasn't this game meant to be a giant middle finger to Kniji Inafune for how bad he burned his bridges with capcom?
I played mega man once not really interested in playing it but l love watching Rob talk about it. It's always great to see the passion you guys have for games as a long time subscriber
I really enjoy the enthusiasm and positive energy and I'm honestly disappointed that I didn't find this channel sooner!
This is awesome, always great to see the crazy passion from Rob, the two of you get so into it. It's what I miss about the old days where Rob was on the show much more frequently
ROB!!! Please come back more often! You guys are priceless together! The best friends duo on RUclips.
We really miss you Rob! I cant wait to see you in other videos. I know you annually make an appearance for the holiday episode, but its criminal you aren't in more videos! Theres not a better duo to review this game!
*ROB MAN!!!! SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT, MEGA-MAN!*
Lol the megaman cartoon theme.
I used to not be a big fan of Mega Man until I started watching you guys like 9 years ago. Seeing Rob Man's enthusiasm made me learn to really appreciate the series. ♡
Me right now. Lol
It's so great to see Rob again! I can't wait to pick it up either tonight if they'll sell it to me or tomorrow. I'm super excited to have a great Megaman experience!
Mega man rob...hope no creepy old guys tried to give you a quarter this time
lol!
I think Rob learned his lesson.
LMAO that story is legendary
Juan Sanchez one of the best stories ever...period lol. Love rob on the channel reviewing this right now
I thought the story was funny, too. But he was in an arcade, this was played at home on a console. UNLESS the old man found out where Rob lived AFTER ALL THESE years. Then the old man knocks on Rob's door. "So I finally found you, after ALL these years. Why don't cha' let me in, make a few drinks, and I'll buy ya some DLC. All I ask is that we cuddle a bit as you play."
ROB!! I am so hyped for MM11 and got the huge set preordered in Japan. I remembered Rob on your channel as I hunt down different 11 goods that have been released through preorders, TGS, etc.
Excellent review!!! So pumped to play this now. My pre-order will be arriving sooonnn...
Rob got me back into megaman lol been out of the series since the PS1 era. Thanks both!
Great review! And I agree, it's a really great addition to the best games of the series. That said, I finally decided to sub you (been watching from time to time).
Isn't that the guy who did Tiz from Bravely Default? I'm glad you loved it Robman! Delighted for you, buddy!
"Hey Rob, how excited were you while playing this?"
Rob: 7:39
Oh man, I’d LOVE to have those Japanese PS1 versions of Mega Man 1-6 just to display the cases. The Japanese covers and box arts are sooooo much better than what we get here for Mega Man stuff.
When I think of Mega Man I had to watch Robman’s review. Great review guys! 😃
I love Rob's enthusiasm. Looking forward to playing this one! Great video as usual Johnny!
You Guys are awesome sadly i discovered your Channel so late but great Video instant SUB👍
You could say this game gets a "Mighty Number 9" out of 10. Lol. Great stuff as always. Can never get too much Rob.
I got a question did either of you getting aNiibo bundle of MegaMan 11 on the switch question because I’m curious what does that I Amiibo function due?
You guys are amazing. Please keep on doing what you do. Thank you, I’m in the military and being out here in Korea watching these vids help kill time and really help morale. Really appreciate it. Any chance of reviewing the new resident evil 2 coming up?
Rob is THE Mega Man reference, thanks for your passion man!
"Thank You Capcom" I felt that
I dont know how the hell I missed this video. I was super super looking forward to hearing your guy's review! I just finished it a couple weeks ago. Absolutely loved it!
Awesome review guys . And nice to see Rob the man too .
Very excited to play this game. Rob's comments sound on the mark, and I just love how the game looks.
Really love your friends energy; you can tell he's a super fan!
Awesome review love seeing RobMan! Can't wait to check this out.
So they got Eugene the Jinx from Hey Arnold to voice Mega Man?!
Ben Diskin from Digimon fusion!
Numbuh 1 from the Kid's Next Door!
Holy shit, really?? XD
@@gundambassexe31 and Sailor Moon.
briansivley2001 that too
Johnny, what do you think about Proto and Bass not appearing in the main game? Do you think DLC is coming?
? Does anyone know what the bonus item is if you downloaded the demo then bought the game? Capcom said it would be in the sub menu? Thanks.
Only found out about this recently! Great review guys
This review is the only one that matters to me, great video guys
Rob's "Thank you Capcom" looks really from the heart jaja! I'm playing it and it's awesome! Good times... :)
Best review I've seen so far. Played the game this morning as soon as it hit 12am and i love it and hope it sparks up new interest in developing more megaman titles
Great review. As a huge fan it was great to see Rob talk about it. Hope to see a X9 review.
Just saw this go live and went to lock myself in the toilet cubicle at work to watch as I can’t wait until I get home! :D work can wait!!
some guys will fap to anything..
Mystery Little Bhoy lol. Maybe they did wonder what I’d been doing in there so long with headphones on XD
Great vid, Rob still looks the same from when he reviewed the Megaman and Megaman x series.
Thanks for making me aware of games I didint even know where out like Mega Man 11 and Fist of the North Star. 👍
slow down time. Reminds me of Max Payne. Was such a cool mechanic. :)
Good to see Rob back for an episode!
Thank you for your honest review Rob, you are the mega man guru in the industry to my eyes, and also I started getting back on track with my mega man collection, since it can get super expensive to collect them all! In particular mm5, mm7, Tronn bonne, legends 2, mmx2, mmx3, mega man soccer, etc... the first time I saw the "mega man complete works collection for the ps1 (japanese editions) was when I was watching your review of the series on your RUclips videos, quite honestly I was so jealous lol ! But you inspired me to try to pick up every single mega man game, and most importantly, to play them and enjoy them! Thanks Rob! Btw, check your local barnes and Noble, or amazon, for an upcoming update on the mega man books by Udon and capcom, (mega man official complete works and mega man x official complete works)
Nice to see robman every once and a while..from a very long time sub you are misses
Love your stuff guys.48 and still love my platform games
Can’t wait for my amiibo edition to ship!
Love it! Everyone needs to see this review. Super excited for tomorrow, my dudes.
Its so fricking awesome to see Rob Man back ive missed him a lot.
More RobMan!!!! Can't wait to pick this game up!! Great review guys.
❤️❤️ Rob we missed you!!! ❤️❤️
i love your reviews
Can't wait to play the full game!! Awesome review, glad to hear Robman loves it!!
I love Rob so much. Im so happy that he came to do this review, I missed him.
I really expected to see Rob for this special review and you did it ! My opinion was so positive about the demo , and now i know the full game will be a great moment ! Thanx guys
I feel like this breaths new life into Megaman fans. Great review, I will be buying 2day for Switch and PS4.
I'm stoked to get this game! One of my favorite classic franchises I been playing the last 29 years
Such Mega Man passion! I can't wait to dive in tomorrow! :D
Glad to see you again Rob!
Looking good Robman! We all missed you.
As someone like Rob who is also 41 and played all the mega man games this makes me really happy. I preordered and pre installed but am stuck at work dammit
Cool to see Rob again, and to hear his feedback on this game !
Omg Rob is so funny making noises and stuff I love him! lol
I think I'm the only one who loves Mega Man 8 sometimes.
It's ok in my opinion. Megaman 7 sucked though because of that final boss.
I thought it was a fun game. I really like island prologue stage.
I love 7 and 8.
I loved it. I think there's a particular group of people who just dislike anything that isn't 8-bit. As a kid I owned MM2, MM3, MM6, and MM8 from the Classic series, and I absolutely loved them all.
Mega Man 8 is my top and favorite video game in the mega man series and I still got the original anniversary collection on ps1.....I don't care what nobody say I love that game that what keep me out of trouble
"For anyone who doesn't know who Rob is..." you've got a serious amount of hilarious HCG content to add to your backlog!
Gotta love RobMan! Hope you and Fam is doing well
Origionally I thought the voice actor of Rex from Xenoblade chronicals 2 was Elijah Wood haha
I am not a big Mega Man fan but I have been anticipating this video as much as the Christmas Special!
Great review...you are one of the few who do it right.
Holy fuck, I can't wait for this game tomorrow! And btw that really does sound like Elijah wood
Bought this on sale a few days ago I cannot wait to have time to play it!!!!
is it so short as old megaman super nes game? does the game have secrets like new armor new hearts, something like those? to explore the stage looking for hiding new staff.
I would love to hear you two talk about castlevania and Metroid (Metroidvania) and your experiences with both games and there sequels.
Also another 10/10 video:
Keep up the Great work Johnny and Rob!
Good to see ya Rob!!
The Good: Graphics - I love it, I was worried at first, vids I had seen, it looked almost tooney, but after I got to playing it I realized I liked it very much, I have always been a huge fan of the MM style, mainly NES & SNES, newer and the "X" seemed to loose the lack luster of the originals by trying to abuse greater graphics capabilities, but MM 11, updates the graphics yet in play, keeps the retro feel everyone had come to love.
Gameplay - again, despite adding all manner of buttons to use, it doesn't lose the simplicity, the buttons are more like shortcuts rather than actual necessity, it really holds on to that retro feel as best it can in this day and age of gaming.
The Price: Also pretty retro, in this day of the still new system, it's list price is only $30 for the hardcopy, awesome, especially since 4/5ths of the games are $50-$60 (plus tax), and about 1/5th are less than $40.
The Bad: Double Gear system - simple opinion, I think it is a waste, the shot booster was effectively an earned item in many MM, but it's affects for enhancing Mega Man's acquired weapons is not much help really.
The slowing down of time, since it slows down EVERYTHING, (yourself included), it's not a real big gain, if you are going to be hit in real time, there is a 90% chance slowing down time won't help you, same thing with landing platforms and other things, it doesn't much help, in fact, timed actions can hurt you since you can't learn the timing in slo-mo.
The Ugly: Back to the Double Gear system, the meter, the DG system is supposed to help, but runs out too quick and the refills (no it does NOT regenerate over time) appear only about 1/5th the time that weapons and health refills making using it almost useless by the time you get to the 2 mid-boss and boss.
The Story - though MM has never had a need really for a story, the story through this game almost victimizes Dr. Wiley, a once good, total BFF to Dr. Light, but was denied for his philosophy that robots should remain tools and not sentient, free thinking citizens and his Double Gear invention was made out to be a possible nuclear weapon, so he rebelled, still meaning well, but not doing it in a good way ??? WTF ???, honestly, it's easier just to think of him as the evil Adolph Hitler type with his Robo-Nazis trying to take over the world.
Too Short, some people complain the levels are too long, not in my opinion, you get sucked into them so well, it passes by really quick, but the game itself remains the one part of classic MM games I did not like, on normal setting, I was half done with the game in under 2 hours, after 5 hours (NOT speed running btw), I was watching the credits, (but replay value makes it a keeper still),
Overall, I will definitely give this game a 8/10, so it is a great investment and a huge keeper.
WARNING !!!
I had purchased my copy from Gamestop used (from their website), it was listed $40, but because I had an Elite Pro membership, I got a huge discount, but after tax and S&H, ended up paying around $37.?? something, I was unaware, it was $30 new in store, until my wife pointed it out :( , I was supposed to get a $5 discount which would have helped a little, but still would have ended up paying more, I come to find out, GS treats the prices of their used games like stock prices, the listed price can vary from as much as day to day, ESPECIALLY before a major sale like "Black Friday", so the discounts on their used games look huge >:(
so if you insist on shopping at GS, find out if they have your desired item in store first
Can't wait to play my copy of it! Thanks for the awesome review!
You guys never fail to put me in a good mood.
So happy to hear this is a good game. Ive been hesitant on buying it, because the original creator wasn't there...but will now. I love megaman so much i have a tatoo of him in my gaming sleeve!
Been looking forward to this for ages :D
Which console did you guys play it on?
You just saved my life! I didn't notice the Japanese language setting and my ONLY gripe about MM11 was some of the voice acting is grating in its repetition. Also I love your enthusiasm for MM11. I enjoyed it so much :)
Out of curiosity, what platform were you playing the game on? I'm glad to hear it lives up to the Rob Master's expectations, that makes me excited :)
Shows how greatly CAPCOM is still capable to revive their IP like no other, what SEGA should do. What every other developer should do.
SEGA is reviving Streets Of Rage and it will be awesome.
@@lukasmeza2352 lol not metroid...Took seeing a fan make a bad ass metroid game (acutally better than nintendos version) to finally make one...Hopefully samus returns will get them to make a brand new side scrolling metroid in the future..
Here's what we need- a game like this, but animated by Arc System Works.
Good on you not mentioning spoilers. I wonder if Dr Wily is the villain? It could be anyone!
Excellent review guys! I am a lifelong Mega Man player, and lover of all the games (esp 2&3). After a long wait this game f-ing DELIVERED! The robot masters were so well designed and I pray that every Mega Man game looks exactly like this going forward. Love your enthusiasm, can tell you are both true fans. Great job!
Game looks amazing! I'm so glad Mega Man is back and in top form. I ran into Keiji Inafune a couple of weeks ago and went full blown fanboy. I know he's not involved with the series anymore, but still, it was awesome. Anyway, this is another one added to my must play list.
What was his response?
He was very nice and friendly, took a few minutes to talk with me and my friends. It was at TGS on a press day and he was just casually walking by, so I got his attention for some pictures and a little time to chat.
Did he mention his thoughts on megaman 11? Did he regret leaving Capcom? Did he mention anything regarding M#9? To be fair, I don't think M#9 is a bad game, though I wonder what he thinks of it.
No, I didn't ask him about that, I wasn't interviewing him or anything. Just told him I'm a huge Mega Man fan, he asked how long I've been in Japan, where I was from and how I was enjoying the show. I guess he's working at Level 5 now, that's what his pass said. I was just happy to have a short chat with him and get a couple of pics.
Some people don't think he should be called "The Father of Megaman" because he wasn't the creator of the first classic megaman game. I disagree. He created the first Megaman X game as a game designer, and his business practices is one of the main reasons why the magaman franchise made it past the 90's. He may not have started Megaman, but he was the heart and soul of the franchise.
Good to see Rob back! 💯
