Here is a Classic 1971 episode of Let's Make A Deal and Tune in for the Coca-Cola Game Show Fever Chat! Let's Make A Deal Monty Money-A-Thon Friday at 7:00PMET/4:00PMPT.
Let's Make a Deal is one of my favorite shows, I love the classic ones, I also love the current one with Wayne Brady, Hilton and Bush are ehh...and the key game is still being used on the Brady version except there's 4 keys instead of 3 like shown here, 1 for the contestant, 1 for Wayne, 1 for Tiffany, and 1 for Johnathan.
You're about half-right, because the bonus round of "Split Second" (1972-75 with Tom Kennedy on ABC) actually involved starting the car instead of merely opening its driver-side door. Even so, this round has a bit of a "Monty Hall Problem" in itself at 7:02 when Monty reveals one of the two dud keys before upping the stakes on the "buyout". The live timpani roll at the 9:00 mark added to the suspense.
ever think about streaming the cococola game show fever chat over twitch or a site like that? then everyone could comment and watch live, youtube also has a live option i think right? altho it wouldnt really be chat itd be commenting

This is Episode 17 of the Syndicated Run- OAD: January 22, 1972
Arnold Ziffel is getting more air time than Monty.
Lmao!!
I'd pick the 1000 dollars over the crappie box gift any day.
if you look very carefully at the keys, key number 3 was a different shape, which meant that it was an original key and the other two were copies
I don't think so
they have 4 children. forget the car!
We Have Nice Parting Gift.
Well they won it probably gave it away
This is like their answer to Pop-Up Video...
Lots and lots of “C-NOTES”!!!
The cars keys would have been Easy to pick, because (1) would be the Original, and the Others would be Copies that didn't Match...
5:15 I think this is how Monty developed Split Second

@@byrd56 Same format in 1983's "Just Men" and 1986-1989's "The 'New' Hollywood Squares", both owned by MGM/Orion Pictures.
