    Surprisingly to read these comments about my Brother George here and naturally we all have our own opinions about what we think and what we would do or say differently. But to say this "Out Of Respect for my Brother George " but seriously George is a very kind Man and a Real human being and knows what he's doing. "George is like myself as we dont Fear anyone No matter if they're 2 feet tall or 20 feet tall" were kind hearted people so with all do respect to everyone out there who watched George in action here or ever had the opportunity to be @ his house and watch him train and all you can do is give the man the respect that hes earned over all the years of training horses because hes earned it and to have his Real friends & brothers there over all the years is a true blessing to have him here. Seriously a shout out and give all Respect to everyone (George, Mattie,Richard & (personally I never met Sunny) a pleasure to know these guys and seriously if you know these brothers then...you know you can only give them all Respect because they earned it! Awesome job brother and I've always been proud to call you guys my brother's because we keep it Real!!!! P.s. sorry I have not been in touch but been busy get my life together and I'll see you all someday. 😎👍

    I don’t know how I got here, and don’t care much about horses but this is pretty fascinating stuff
    I thought training a husky to retrieve was hard, but this horse taming and training is some kind of wizardry

    I would have started this horse in a halter or at least a snaffle. I'm amazed they use a curb bit. I guess George made it work. What a handsome horse!

    Great training! That's the first time I've seen a trainer not provoke fear in the horse (just like my mom said) Akhini (my 3 year old filly that i dont romanticize riding) could really use some training and I feel that it would be an interesting show of training a horse while training a person!

    You might be impressed but what I see is him using a large shank bit using pain compliance to bring him under control.

    This brake is super strong and generates an incredible pain for the horse.

    • @reefellows1423
      @reefellows1423 3 года назад

      Was wondering y he is in that bit? I have little knowledge in the breaking process tbh, is it because he’s a young stallion that he’d have no brakes in another bit? Even with such a skilled horseman to me it looks incredibly brutal:( I think if this is how he’s wired let him b a stallion and if you want a riding horse have him gelded….

  • @susanflowers7425

    He's fighting that painful bit in His mouth, it's obvious he's looking for release. Poor animal. Other than that I agree with what he said.

    Snaffle bit is the key!

  • @melissanichols2461

    The bit is the problem. A curb with long shanks, why is that necessary?

    To see the ultimate horse trainer see Warwick Schiller on YT- no spurs, no gag bits, no voice commends, just real fully explained ground work, successful, safe, and non cruel. This horse has not learned respect, it comes into the trainers space, almost putting his head on the trainer, when asked to follow.

    • @angiebeanful
      @angiebeanful 8 лет назад +1

      +anotherblonde i agree Warwick Schiller he is good i like think like a horse rick gore also buck brannaman they ride in rope halters ive learned more from them in a year than my entire life with horses you have to be that herd leader so they feel safe with you and all about release of pressure thats the biggest reward and is also the way they communicate with one another in the wild

      You have no clue what you are talking about the horse was doing exactly what it was supposed to do if he didn't want it in his space it wouldn't have been there why don't you show him how it's supposed to be done and make your own video it's easy to run off at your mouth in the comment section any body can do that try doing what he is doing just once and I bet it won't be so easy to run your mouth

    You could change the bit, but that's giving into him work him let him know he's gotta work at it an it won't hurt him, good job cowboy

    I like watching that black horse because he resembles my own stallion but mine is more fancy and used to behave a lot worse. He's getting to be a real nice horse now.

      She was needed to kinda set the stage. A "flipper" that's bad, and you want to know if it's some dumb-ass that abuses horses or a nice owner that got a canner

  • @bellep9489

    Please everyone who is saying just ride with a rope halter, please just stop. Just because Rick Gore says that's the way to do it, doesn't make it correct. Some of the best horse trainers in the world use bits, so please just stop. That is not the problem.

      Hi

    • @MaritsView
      @MaritsView 5 лет назад +1

      *Rick Gore, isn't the only one who says that bits are bad, it's been proven they are*
      *Yes trainers use them, because most of them sell bits themselves, all of these trainings can be done without a bit*
      *It's a painful tool we don't need*
      *Bits are painful, metal in the mouth hurts, metal around the horses face hurts, common sense*
      *It's as simple as that*
      *The bit is the problem, it hurts, just a slight pull forces the bit to shoot up in the horses gums, teeth and tongue*
      *No need to use them*
      *Same with spurs, unnecessary*

  • @angiebeanful
    @angiebeanful 8 лет назад +1

    amazing work apart from that long shank bit that was the horses problem his mouth was wide open saying pain ride him 1 reined in a rope halter in the round pen he will be ALOT more relaxed even snaffles are bad look up the truth about snaffle bits you will be shocked

    • @angiebeanful
      @angiebeanful 8 лет назад +1

      +angiebeanful omg spurs ??????????? this horse has had his mouth hurt even though hes not yanking on his mouth the horse associates it with pain its not carrying a rider ditch the bit ditch the spurs problem solved horses feel flies land on them they are very sensitive animals

  • @mitchpick
    @mitchpick 8 лет назад +5

    not that the trainer was so bad.. Yes there are many trainers using the same techniques as this guy & frankly doing them better... But what I really want to say to this lady that is being interviewed, SELL that young horse your husband bought!!! You should never ever have a young child on & around young horses! I know you husband had grand and loving intentions but your child's safety is far more valuable! Sell that mare and find an old dead broke horse for her to play with and love and learn on!

    That bit on the black arab is way to strong that is why he is fighting so hard and at the end pffffffffff first look at the eyes of horses to see what is going on here we have some one who rides 3 and 4 year old who never have seen a person saddle or bit he just rides them. Gert van den Hof he has more knolledge then most american horse men/woman and we have Frederic Pignon one of the very best not THE BEST.

    Every single time the horse is acting out, it's because you pulled on the rains and the stupid bit hurt his mouth! That should be a clue!... Ever thought that maybe it's the problem? The damn painful bit!... Learn how to ride you horse without bits and you'll see the difference... You want to learn what real horsemanship is like? Go Watch Rick Gore's videos... No pulling on the rains, no painful bits, no painful spurs, using natural horse behaviour, pressure and release and the drive line to make a horse comply... And he owns a Palomino AND a Mustang that was born in the wild and was considered a dangerous horse!... A history of hurting trainers? It's the trainers' fault just like there are people out there who have had dogs and cats all their life and know nothing about their natural behaviour. So when they act up, ignorant people blame the animals. Because you are competing and claim you are a horse trainer doesn't mean you know about horse BEHAVIOUR! Go learn by watching horses in herds and mares and their babies.

    Horse is terrified of bit. Mouth ruined. It's evasion of pain he's not fighting. Scared to go forward probably due to then being caught in mouth. Also the start of good manners should be standing to be mounted. Not watching any more of this "alpha" shit. If you can't see the bit is the starting issue you are not a trainer.

  • @susanflowers7969

    gert van de hof is puts a rope low on the horses noses and puuls it when they are running, he is chocking them! off course the horse stops running, they can't breath. gert van de hof is just a farmer with a good seat, nothing more.

  • @FancySassy80

    horse needs a loose-ring snaffle and some flexing and bending from the ground, that shank is way too much for him, and the concho-spurs are not needed!.. this was sickening to watch.
