O my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A week in hospital and a month recovering from what they did to me in hospital and what do I find??? Racheal doing an AMAZING stitch journal with all sorts of............well, stitching!!! Imagine that😉!! I'm back with my silly comments and attempts at humor. Much to the chagrin of the sensible ones among us, I am sure. Well my girl, you have done it again with this magnificent collection of really difficult looking and impressive stitchery!!!! If I was wearing a hat I would take it off to this wonderific Racheal creation!! Three big WOOTS for you!!!
@@roxycreations679 Yes ma'am!! Things are improving a-pace these days, thank you everso for your well wishes my dear!! Hope all the house uphievle is almost over for you and Lulu and the hub!! Those things can be even more exhausting than a stay in hospital!!!😊
Amazing Rachel. I am so grateful to be participating In #Roxy'sJournalofStitchery. I love look at FB and Instagram and see all the wonderful photographs being posted. It is truly breathtaking. Thank you , Your Mum and Sarah for putting this together For us and spending your time and processes with us.
I just love all your creations! I especially love the positive attitude you show in all that you do. I recently had a stroke so any positivity is welcome. xx
Your book is coming along just beautifully! It’s wonderful to watch both you and your sister, as you both have different ways of doing things, which gives us different options, and I find that so very helpful! Thank-you so much! 😃
Many thanks for showing us this early in the process. I am one who needs to mull things over a lot so this helps me out very much, Your work is very charming as always . I love how you talk & explain your thoughts as you show us how to do something. Thank you again! XO from Michigan, USA.
Wow! Your book looks fantastic already and it’s only month 1. I am loving this whole process and the fact that I am doing it with my Mum. She hasn’t done any stitching for about 20 years (maybe longer) and is absolutely loving this project. So much so, she has done three sampler pages, a title page, January’s page and two more pages!!! I’m thinking she will need to increase the size of her spine. Lol. Thanks again Rachel. Xx
I totally agree....love the frayed edges. If I rush I make too many mistakes and it just looks sloppy and then end up tearing out the stitches and starting over. Now I focus, take my time and the stitches look much more put together and like you said, it gives me time to think about my next move and what I want to do. Thank you for sharing your tips and your craftiness.
I was so encouraged when you said that you take your time and step away and contemplate what you will do next. For me, this is absolutely necessary, as one thing kind of leads me into another. I start wth a general idea, for the piece, but it kind of leads me, as I start working on it. I love that you have begun stitching your pages in, as the book really is materializing before our eyes and must search out the backing page fabric for my own so I can begin doing this. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with those of us who know so little !
This is so pretty! I understand the accordion book a bit more now. I guess I need to make a decision on whether to do accordion or reg. signatures. I haven't cut my pages yet and if I can't make up my mind, I could always wait until later. :) It helps to see how this all works and how you stitch everything together. Thanks for sharing!
It’s so nice to watch a lefty work. I’m a lefty also. I’ve learned to sit across from teachers thru the years to learn. I have taken classes where the teacher uses an overhead projector and it’s such a struggle when you’re learning a new concept. This has been so much easier to follow. Your book is absolutely beautiful so far. Such a treasure!
It's coming along beautifully. I intend to start this project soon when I have finished what I'm working on at present. Thank you so much for the inspiration 😊
Arrrrgh!!!! Now I don't know which style I want to put my pieces in🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ Maybe I will have to make a mini Z journal 🤦🏼♀️😂🤔. Thanks for making it all look simple like anyone could give it a try. 😊💜
Love your work Rachel..
Thank you! 😊
