I 100% love that this is a SLOW stitching project. I don't feel rushed to produce something...gives me time to plan. Plus I have time to work on other crafty projects. Thanks!
Thank you! 😊
Fantastic video Rachel! I really enjoy seeing your process in detail. 🐰
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi, I really wanted to thank you for your slower pace and recognise that during this time there is a lot of thinking happening and that things speed up later. With work and other life events it is lovely to have the time to create thoughtfully. I absolutely appreciate the sharing of knowledge in this event!
Thank you! 😊
Hello Rachel. So many great ideas for stitching on the background. And I love the effect of the pink thread. I’m excited to add some stitches to my background now too! Thank you for everything. 💕💕💕
Thank you so much!
I’m really appreciating the pace you are going!! I’m not a fast stitcher and value the pondering time we have, it’s such a delicious part of the creativity , daily I’m am in the beautiful space of colours, textures and imagination while doing some of the more mundane tasks in a day. I also work intuitively, the work speaks to me, as I go, or when I’ve made a happy‘mistake’!!! Thank you thank you, this is a perfect pace for our slow stitching….not rushed, and not stressful!! X
Thanks so much 😊
I am soooo appreciative of the leisurely pace. Calm stitching is the best!
Thank you! 😊
Really appreciated hearing you explain how you think through what you will do on a piece of your work. I feel you are very intuitive, but you definitely have key concepts that you utilize concerning balance and allowing the piece to develop without a strict structure imposed on it. Really gave me some thoughtful insights. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you for the 'no hurry'!
Your method and work are so classic and beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for taking the time to explain and share! Love your work!!!
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you thank you 🙏😊 i can’t thank you and your sister ( and of course your amazing mother) enough for starting this amazing project.
I have always been amazed with slow stitching and watching Pinterest and thinking 💭, I will never learn and now I have the opportunity. I love you work slowly and tell how and why 👍😀
I have troller in my living room and love to sit and sewing and relaxing in the evening.
I have learned SO much already. I don’t have a lot but I am sewing and learning and that is the meaning 👍🙂
I am a bit behind and haven’t made my front page because I got ( you know what 😉). But I will make it to the last because I think it will look better when I have been a better sewer.
A huge thanks again
Tina 👩🏻🎨😊- Denmark
I am so pleased you are enjoying it. There's no hurry you can go at your own pace! Thank you so much!
I appreciate your style of working Rachel. I’m not a planner and I love the way your pieces organically take shape. You make it look so effortless 🥰 I can’t wait to see your embellishments!
Thank you so much!
Really appreciate the slow pace Rachel , It’s just so much fun anticipating what’s to come 😊 thank you so much for this project and for all the help with the composition today.. …loving every single part so far ❤️🤗
Thank you! 😊
Thank you Roxy, I am always work slowly, not working to a plan, what I do evolves as I go along. Your video was very reassuring. After seeing all the beautiful finished pages I wondered if I had bitten off more than I could chew, trying the stitchery journal. I am glad you are keeping beginners in mind because I am really enjoying this new pass time. X
Thanks so much! 😊
I am so okay with slow paced. I am really enjoying the thoughtfulness of this project.
Thanks so much! 😊
I really really appreciate that you are going slow, for to me it's not fast. I have so much going on in and around my life that going slower than most seems like superfast! Ariane Zurchers videos are so wonderful, and between you all I am learning so much. Thank you.
Thank you! 😊
I am having so much fun working on my page. I stitch every evening watching tv with hubby. Relaxing and fun. Thanks for sharing your ideas. ♥️♥️
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow this block is gorgeous! Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate it! Love what you do Rachel!❤️
Thank you so much!
Hi Rachel, it is looking great so far l always love watching you stitch, thanks for doing this project with us. Hugs Susanna xx 😄♥️🧵🐇
Thank you! 😊
Enjoyed watching you put this together. And of course it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! 😊
I have decided to use a readers digest, but as soon as I saw the accordion I thought what a fabulous on going work book for all the stitch meditations and practise bits I do. Loving this journal with the prompts, you're doing well, even with the huge amount you're doing
Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful, Rachel!
Thanks so much! 😊
Love how your bunny block is coming along!
Thank you so much!
This was great Racheal, clear and concise without the formality, and leaving plenty of space for our own interpretations. Many thanks.
Thanks so much! 😊
I’m very happy to know that I’m not alone in working in different directions. I find that even though I’ve stitched my background, I’m not quite sure what I want to do with it next until I can see my bunny. So I work on him for a while. I think the pace is very relaxing and am happy we are doing the project at a casual pace. Thank you for allowing us to work at our own paces. Even though I have sewn for years, I am learning new techniques and am enjoying this whole process.
Thank you! 😊
I for one really appreciate the slow pace as Im still finishing up other projects that I had to abandon during the holidays. I really like the pistil stitching around your bunny and the way you explain your process.
Thanks so much! 😊
Needles....Cotton Darners....John James brand.....Size 7. My own go-to. As my eyes and hands have gotten older, not the attitude though, I prefer these....I can feel the needle in my fingers and thread the eye! I think the feel of the needles has been the most important to me.
Hi Rachel! Your composition is looking wonderful, and I love the colorful stitches you added during this video! Your block just looks really nice ! Thank you for the great video, nice & informative chat time, and lovely block composition creating. I love the vintage fabrics & laces that you selected & that you are stitching on now. You have such great stitches!! You did a great job Rachel! A little side note for you, I really love that LuLu is the one who drew the bouncing bunny for you to use on this project block of yours. TFS
Happy Creating! Samantha
Thanks so much 😊
your block is amazing! I am learning so much from you and Sarah, thank you x
Thank you so much!
I hate to have to stop and rethread, too, so i’ve adopted your method of stitching. It does make a difference!
It really does make a difference!
Oh dear..you've done it now!! Got to get my embroidery threads and material out ! Not enough to make our paper journals, got to get cracking with sewing now.you are so inspirational ,loves you!xx
I know we need more hours in the day! Thank you! 😊
I really like how you talk us through your process Rachel. I am off to watch Sarah’s video now. I am really loving this project and find it really relaxing
Thank you! 😊
Just adding my two cents, I like that this series is slow paced for several reasons. One because I’m slow at this, and busy with other things, (just like you said) and also if I feel I can’t keep up then I won’t stick with it and I really want to stick with this. So I’m a fan of the the slower pace. If the faster stitchers want they can make 2 pieces each month! Just my opinion, thanks for allowing it. 😀
Thank you! 😊
Enjoying the classes very much. I am the lefty and, thanks to you, can easily do the quilter's knot! Yippee! I also appreciate the pace as I am a beginner and also go to work. However, no postings of my project on to FB or anywhere as I am intimidated by all the 'pros' finished projects. I contracted double vision three years ago and have very wonky stitches and go about the sewing very slowly. Much thanks and hugs to you (Sarah and Rachel).
Thank you! 😊
I'm still placing my blocks, bunny, & lace. I am undecided & it takes me awhile. Yours is gorgeous. Can't wait to see the final piece. Have a blessed day 🌈🙏💜🙏🌈
Thank you! 😊
Your block is looking so pretty! Love it -- thank you for sharing your process!
Thank you so much!
This project is great! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Looking forward to seeing how you work with your flowers.
Thank you! 😊
Please know that your pace is perfect for us newbies. Loving the process!
Thank you! 😊
I also love the slower pace, thank you. Your page is looking lovely, I’m learning so much from you.
Thanks so much 😊
I was late starting slow stitch, although I've been doing it since I can remember, but for purpose, not art. This is funner. Months ago I think I commented that I was going over journal 1 again for a refresher course. Well, I'm doing it again. This journal is so good for the basics, as well as the inspiration. Thank you for your generous welcome, wishes and support to all your stitchers. I would be flattened without your creative infusion and I love this.
Thanks so much! 😊
🌸🌼💗🌼🌸
Love the raspberry.
Love watching you lay out and stitch things in place. I'm behind with just fabric and lace picked out. No stitches yet. Hoping to stitch this evening.
I have a few OCD tendencies and like uneven numbers or groupings. I think it is a balance thing. If you have an uneven group you have an exact center represented. The second thing or middle. A balance point. It makes sense to me even if the center is not actually holding anything up. It balances something in my brain.
We were doing some rearranging in the house and I was taking away or adding to get uneven groupings. Tried to explain the balance thing to my husband. He shook his head and left me to it.
Yes that's what it is! When it's uneven you have a center. I love that! Don't worry there's no hurry. Thank you so much!
Brenda, in the world of interior design odd number groupings force our eyes to move around athe grouping and so thet forced movement is the heart of visual interest. It's for that reason that a set of three is more appealing and memorable than something paired off in two's. It also works in our artwork. Hubby can rest assured that design principles have long known odd numbers are visually appealing. 😁
Very helpful and informative Rachel. Thank you ❤️.
Thank you! 😊
I found this video very informative and I loved that you touched on composition of pieces etc everyone can use a refresher. ❤️
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you so much for this challenge. I'm really enjoying you and Sarah's videos. Also enjoy all the beautiful work in the Facebook group. So many talented artists. I love that your bunny was drawn by your daughter. I think I might have to ask my granddaughter to do something for me to Stitch for our next project.
There really are amzong pieces being shared! Thanks so much! 😊
I really appreciate the slow pace on this project. I work and I am slow sometimes in my designing. The slower pace has helped to relieve a great deal f stress.
Thank you!! 😊
Very pretty. Love the bunny. Very nice work. Thx for vid.

Thank you so much 😊
Barbara I'm in Waco, I'm so enjoying getting back to Stitching. And these women do beautiful work.
Splendid beginning Rachel. Thank you bunches, Carol xo
Thanks so much! 😊
I loved this video. So informative and great to see you working as I can learn as you go. Thanks for all you do. Stay safe
Thanks, you too!
Love your composition so far. I also am loving the pace that you and your sister are doing as I am so new to this and I find it helpful in that I don't feel as if I am behind in the process.
Thanks so much! 😊
I forgot about the facebook group...joining. I think I'm going to start a second lace and bunny page, I got mine done already and don't want to just sit and watch, so going to start another one and go a little different direction...more to come.
You could do a smaller second book and use both methods of binding, one in each! Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for all of this learning today! I love learning about composition!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much!
Hmm. Points to ponder. I’d like to see if appliqué circles will fit in my piece. I like to try new things. And I’m rethinking the binding method. I believe I’ll try to bind my 52 tags that way as well.
I have embroidered them and love how they turned out. I'll show that next week! Thank you! 😊
I LOVE when you do blue and pink!!😊💜 That other piece you showed is so beautiful! Usually blue and pink together kind of make me feel kind of nauseous. Like too much sugar. Like it's missing something. 🤦🏼♀️ It's hard to explain. 🤷🏼♀️ I really appreciate hearing your opinions of the materials and tools.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!, This is very helpful. I love the slower pace and I learn so much from these videos.
Thanks so much!
I love the circles and leaves you added to your composition. I may do something like that on mine. I waited patiently to see what you came up with before I started to add to mine. I also am thankful for the explanation as you work through what you are doing.
Thank you! 😊
Love seeing how you proceed and hearing you talk about your process. Really looking forward to seeing further embellishments! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
I watch this last..lol but I did see it too the end and gosh you are so talented!! Beautiful work! ❤ Thank you 😊
Thank you so much 😀
This is a great idea for using up our fabric pieces
Thank you!! 😊
I thought your husband was someone shouting in my street!🤣 I love hearing your family cos I feel like I’m there with you! I do chat back to you xx
Hahaha 😝 that’s funny! Thank you so much 😊
Love, love that you go slow and explain your process for new people doing this like me. I am learning so much from you and Sarah. I also love no measurements. How do you not get out to many things to audition as you say. I'm at the point where I can't decide what I want. Will keep trying, and learning. Tfs
I pulled out a few things I love and then found what I felt was missing. Thank you so much!
Rach I love your color and may try one in the softer colors too. I am so excited about this project. Thank you!
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
excellent tutorials with all of your work in the videos, especially for those of us looking for something new to create. Your creative inspiration is such a natural flow and show's off your talents. It is a joy to watch you create, and not plan out everything, as it gives us all a confidence to just trust instinct and passion of creativity on a project. You are a wonderful blessing in such a dark and hard time in what is happening all over the world with covid's impact. keep up your videos. We all love them! You are such an inspiration.
Thank you so much!
Love how this is coming along and great explanation of composition! TFS the inspiration!
Thank you so much!
Hello Rachel I looked at the first video and I understand now what you're doing so I decided that I would try my hand at it I'm using what I have cuz you said in one of your videos not to be spending hundreds of dollars on things that you don't need and I don't have that kind of money anyway so I'm using all my scrap fabric from from making quilts so I don't know how it's going to turn out but I'm going to give it a shot thank you so much
I think it will be wonderful! Make sure you enjoy yourself, that's the most important thing! Thank you so much!
💜💜💜
Thank you
You're welcome
This is lovely! I basted my background and I'm currently still stitching down my background pieces. I have my bunny cut out and ready to add on when the time comes. I'm very interested to see what you plan to do with the circles and might wait and see if it is something I want to try and add to the block. I have plenty to still do and am still working on the finishing touches to my title page. I've always been a planner but I find I only plan so much with my block and then change it up as I go.
I have done the embroidery on the circles and love it! Thank you! 😊
💓
Can you explain how you are using the felt mat
I can stick my pins in it, it stops my fabric sliding around, I can carry my project around on it and I can iron crumpled pieces on it without damaging my table. It also helps keep me in frame, lol.
@@roxycreations679 I love your felt mat! Do you mind saying. How thick it is?
I so wondered how you both keep up with everything. I get flabbergasted lol and think about you. How do you manage.
Sometimes I don't!
Please would you tell me the name of your Italian perle? Like the dmc Alsace ? Thank you
Grigoletti
Thank you, I’m watching your composition again while drawing a rabbit that is recognisable!! Maybe I’ll just do ears!! She must be hiding in her burrow!!
Can you show us wormy knots😊😊😊😊
Do you mean the ones I did on my title page?
@@roxycreations679 Yes... Please show us how to make the "wormy knots", like the ones from your title page. Thank you!
any chance of a link to the korean outline stitching
Oh gosh, I don't know their names as they are Korean, I foloow them on Instagram but nothinghas appeared in my feed lately. I'll see if I saved anything.
@@roxycreations679 thanks

When my husband talks to China, he is very loud.
Hahahaha!
He’s probably telling his friend to Stop talking about you know what. ☺️
