    I also love your background Rachel and it sooo good to be able to give ourselves permission to be a bit or a lot wonky 😃 making this slow stitch project so enjoyable. I'm still working in my bunny block, nearly there, think having a month to complete a page is such a great idea.

    I’m trying to watch everyone doing this journal of stitching and just watched Jeanette and I’m all out of order but it’s so fun! I love all the pieces you chose to use.this is so interesting to me. I can’t do the hand stitching any more but I really love it. So fun seeing everyone’s ideas. Tfs

    I love how your first bit of stitches extend into the gray neutrals. Nice contrast but still soft and subtle. Lovely!

    Beautiful background! I'm just finishing up my January bunny block but it will be fun pulling out my neutrals and getting ready for this month's project! I am so happy it is one block a month! I wouldn't be able to do more than that! As you see, I'm not quite done with last month's yet! lol I enjoy going at a slower pace! Having fun and totally enjoying this project! Thanks for sharing and putting it together for us!

    I've learned there is no such thing as Perfect, Art tells us what it wants to be. We might have a plan, but the final product is from the Soul.

    Hi Rachel, I just love your background muted colours - they’re so restful. Our teacher in one of the exercises in a watercolour class was to choose a card from the paint section at Bunnings showing various shades of their interior colours. It was so helpful and interesting and amazing results.

    Great prompts. Love the way your background has come together. The little piece of fabric is a lovely addition. Looking forward to collecting my bits of fabric and making a start tomorrow. Had an operation on my foot so laid up for 6 weeks and the this protect has been a great distraction for me. Thank you and Sarah so much. Xx

    Hi Rachel! Love your Neutral fabrics, especially the toile! So lovely! I love your choice of blue threads to begin your stitching on this months block. Blue is a favorite of mine too. I'm anxious to see where your February block goes. I think fancy flowers are going to be awesome! I'm going to see Sarahs video now.

    Love your neutral background, and what you did with the dotted and lovely old lace bits. Looked forward to this video ALL WEEK, and am excited to see what I can find in my stash that fits the "neutrals" parameter for the background. Just so loving this monthly challenge.     Love the old dotted Swiss fabric. I remember having a dress with a layer of that fabric when I was a little girl.😀 And, bedroom curtains.

      @@roxycreations679 & Lucille Cash, I would like to see Rachel's coffee/tea dying techniques also. I have some white fabric that needs a little help and that is what I'd like to do with it! Then I could possibly incorporate it in my background composition for this month. I haven't watched any tutorial on it yet. I have seen some others use a spray bottle to do it. Do you like that method Rachel? What works best for you? TFS Please reply.

    Thank you for the discussion on neutrals. 😊💜Pale blues and whites flashed into my head when I thought about neutrals. I have also thought of denim as a neutral. Could be my Montana/Texas background. 😏🤣😂

    I wish the Noise Police here on Y-T would realize the creators are usually just at home, where other people live & move & have their being, and not on a professional sound stage with professional audio equipment and sound / noise baffles. Thanks for another lovely video and project!

    Hi girls, I’m sorry if this question has already been asked but I’m wondering about the wool felted mats that you both stitch on, I know they’re used as ironing pads so I’m just wondering are they particularly good to stitch on as well? Why is it that you both use them?

      I like it because I casn carry my stitching around on it. I can also use it as a pin cushion and my fabric doesn't slip.

    if you don't want to get your iron out all the time use a hair straightener for small pieces of fabric
