These guys make me feel proud to be Australian. Hit after hit of timeless classics. Such an amazing band still creating major boogie time at live gigs in 2024. Seeing The Gurus live is a celebration of top of the food chain Oz rock and roll. Keep the hits coming boys I’m all ears.❤
Great times . Days when i was so happy and full of life . Didn't care what i drank or who i was with . So much energy , i used to run instead of walk . Why did i think my life was shit ? Sitting here and wanting it all back . Loved the Gurus too .
Just saw them this evening in Pittsburgh PA for their 2024 US Tour Back to the Stone-Age celebrating the 40th anniversary of Stone Age Romeos... They are still tight and put on a great show.
Hoodoo Gurus - 11 November 1987, Founders Theater Hamilton, Dave broke a couple of lower E strings but played on like a true professional lol. Awesome night.
Man, gurus are my all time favourite band in Australia. I was a wee lad in the 80s and so many great songs and memories. Now 41 dam I love to reminisce. Times were sure different
In the day when this song was huge, I was driving through Beaudesert QLD, There was a Cafe, out the front of it was a group of teenagers, the blokes were wearing just denim jeans and a pair of thongs, no shirts. This one young bloke had one of those ridiculously huge portable cassette players up on his shoulder and had this song pumping out full volume. No doubt they were very cool dudes. That's the memory this song brings back to me. Those stereos used take like 12 "D" cell batteries and they'd last for about 2hrs. Cost a fortune in batteries.
I was living in central Queensland back in mid 80s, remember those times well, great tunes, and to see the gurus on holiday at the blacktown RSL in Sydney in 1986, this guy who was originally from stoke on trent in England, well I was fkn stoked!!!🇦🇺🇬🇧🎸👍
You guys ROCK! I remember listening to you guys on KROQ and 91x back in the 80s. All my surf buddies use to drive to LA or SD to see you play live! Good times!
a daily staple of rock FM radio stations in the 90's in Australia. I've probably heard this thousands of times, it always chirped up everybody in the workshop when it came on.
Looking chillaxed there guys. Only the Hoodoo Gurus could film in one of the hottest, dryest places on earth and make it look cool and relaxing like they've all just woke up and showered. Love this band.
I saw them in Liverpool UK in 1985 and 1989. The 1985 gig in particular was so good. One of those great concert memories, which act as some compensation for being 63 now.
A Memorable night, 10th March 2024, Hoodoo Gurus, Canberra Symphony Delight, This song, Death Defying , (OOH Wee) at dusk , Fruits fly over heads. Inspired my poem, The delight.
Hoodoos - Hunnas -Tatts - Angels -Choir Boys, etc - All arse kickin' Aus' Rock Exponents. - hold their own agin' any international bands. Ripper Rock!👍 BloodRed.🍒
Thank you. I had tix to see you at the Orpheum in Boston, '86-87ish. What happened? I did get my $ back, that day. Hush? ...but I never got to see you live. SOB.

This song is timeless - it's as good as the very first time I heard it in 1986!
I have a dedicated playlist for 80s Aussie music because it deserves to have a solid genre of it's own.
I must agree. I wish I was there... at this time. 😢
Absolutely. Same here.
Same!!!
Still got my concert ticket from the 80’s when they played in the UK. How can I remember all the lyrics but not what happened yesterday? 😂
Dave Faulkner the greatest Australian songwriter ever and the Gurus one of the country’s finest
They're alright
Brad, I reckon! ❤🦘🐨
Iva Davies and the whole of the Mentals say bullshit !!! 🇦🇺💥
@@freddyhitler3332 Definitely catchier songs than Nick Cave. Not to say Nick's songs aren't genius though, or more genius.
Sad indictment of Oz
how does one band make so many totally epic catchy songs?
It shows that they are LEGENDS!!❤
Lots of hard work.
black magic
Lots of catchy songs but no mega hits really.

Well you’ve done the right thing by listening to them again 👍👍
I'm 48 and can relate to everything you said. Well put my friend.

An all-time favourite of mine.
This beautiful classic takes me back to beautiful 80s and 90s and to great days of high school.
I love this song. It was the first Hoodoo Gurus song I had ever heard and it got me hooked. Definitely one of my all-time favorite bands.
I often come and listen to this, great song and great band.

@@STOKEOZ1967 Bloody hell!, moving from Stoke on Trent to central QLD - Culture shock!! Nice one...
They influenced bands that didn’t even know they were their mentors. Scarily good.
Love it. Australian music at its best, bunch of legends.
I saw them at the Prince of Wales in St Kilda about 5 years ago. And at the Adelaide University Bar on a Friday Lunchtime gig in 1985ish.
Brilliant Aussie band ..top shelf!!!
Seeing 'em tomorrow at the Bluebird, can't wait to finally hear 'em live!
Caught myself singing the chorus ladt... It has to be over 15 years since I've played this song.
I have loved these guys for years! My husband and I first danced to “should I stay or should I go?” I have so much respect for this band!,

You guys ROCK! I remember listening to you guys on KROQ and 91x back in the 80s. All my surf buddies use to drive to LA or SD to see you play live! Good times!
Ahh, these guys at the Caringbah Inn and the St Georges Sailing Club back in the day. Truly awesome.
Singing this with my 2 yr old daughter, I would love to hear a modern version of this song, it would rock the country
why have a modern version?
The only thing that rocks the country now is wokism. Which people adore.

We've got our tickets for St. Petersburg!!!
If there was any Aussie band other than ACDC that can be associated with mullet music it would have to be these guys!
Is this an alternate take/mix of the album track?
In 2022, this is now known as the Mr Poopybutthole song
