Australian Crawl - Oh No Not You Again (1981)
Let me tell you about two young lovers that lived down the coast
She was such a pretty thing... Man what a host
Evening time she sets the table for four
Some friends are coming round tonight
He's out on the town, he's trying to score
Woke up early this morning something's got his mind
Cursing the night before... breakfast at nine
Felt him restless whoa all through the night
She sees that something is wrong with him
She don't want to cry she just wants to know why
Oh, oh, oh, oh... oh, no not you again
Oh, oh, oh, oh... oh, no not you again
Don't own a swimming pool not even a colour TV
Works awful hard some days... she lets him be
You know it ain't looking good for them no loving no more
Some friends are coming round tonight he's out on the town
He's knocking on the wrong door
Oh, oh, oh, oh... oh, no not you again
Oh, oh, oh, oh... oh, no not you again
Oh, oh, oh, oh... oh, no not you again,
    She's gone, she's gone, she's gone, she's gone yeah
    [Repeat 1st verse & chorus]
Oh, oh, oh, oh... oh, no not you again [repeat & fade]

I'm 48 and moved from the US back in 2000. I've been obsessed with this song for years. Makes me wish I could have grown up in Australia in the 80's. The rock scene seems so much more musical and personal.
I don't mind the over the top Motley Crew / Poison stuff. But it feels like huge stadiums vs smokey pubs.

Aussie music was awesome in the 70's, 80;s and early 90's. Try Split Enz (NZ band later as Crowded House), Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, The Black Sorrows, Divinyls, Kate Ceberano, Hoodoo Gurus, Hunters and Collectors, John Farnham, Mondo Rock, Skyhooks, Dragon (NZ), Mi Sex (NZ), The Angels, Rose Tattoo, Noiseworks, the list goes on. I'm sure you will find plenty to like. Sadly, the music scene here now is nothing :(

No Cold Chisel, Hunters and Collectors, Icehouse, Skyhooks. So many great Aussie bands didn't get exposure. AC/DC, INXS and Midnight Oil are the only bands I was aware of before arriving.

They were pretty popular at the time, and loved dearly by fans even since. A bit like Chisels in that there legacy persists enormously in the hearts of fans. Luckily there haven’t been any pretentious retrospectives like one sees about bands like say the Go Betweens. They were a great band too, but perhaps a little too much was made of their music. Where as Aussie Crawl…. I see nothing but love from fans like yourself .

I remember the first time I order 5 cds direct from Australian and the day I got them, It was just so freaking good, see all 5 cds from Australian Crawl (at that time I was in Boston USA, and even there was kind of hard to find cds from this awesome band) . The teens from today, they have no clue how hard was to get music. Today you go right here at the youtube and get whatever you want, get a software and download whatever you feel like.... I love this song. Kind of weird see only 449,681 views, it should be millions of views....

About halfway through the album he says to me "fuck, I haven't listened to the Crawl since I was your age." Long story short, liking good Australian music must be in my genes

It's cold here today, 1°C, but this song reminds us of summer. Australian Crawl, the south of Brazil loves this music. Sorry for any mistakes in English, as we are already a little drunk. 😅

I don’t think people get the importance of this song without the context of how it was to live in Australia at the time . I love the way it tells a sad story. I hope she ended.up finding a better man. A National Treasure I say . The guitar solo ❤️🙏

I watched them live aged 16, Guy was exceptional and they sounded better singing live than the albums which was something..Guy the one singing this number sadly died 2 years later aged 28, detoxing from heroin he contract viral pneumonia....Aus had great bands in the 80's, Cold Chisel, Australian Crawl, Men at Work, Hunter and Collectors just to mention a few......All absolutely world class..

Stralia back in the early 80's was the best place on earth, I loved it and wish I could've stayed longer. Was lucky enough to see a bunch of the best bands of that time, always loved Aussie Crawl but never saw 'em.
