Absolutely! The quality of your listings is everything on Etsy. A single, well-crafted listing with great SEO, beautiful photos, and a compelling description can outperform dozens of low-quality listings. Focusing on quality means ensuring your listings are optimized to attract the right audience and convert views into sales. This approach not only helps you stand out in a competitive marketplace but also makes managing your shop much easier and more enjoyable. Keep honing your listings, and you’ll see the difference it makes! Do you have specific listings you’re working on right now?
Thank you for this info. Should I delete listing that aren't performing well? I've a new shop and sold 30 digital items already in just over a month but I do have alot of Xmas listing that didn't get any traction really I was trying something new. Should I delete them ?
That’s amazing that you’ve already sold 30 digital items in just over a month-congratulations! 🎉 Regarding your Christmas listings that didn’t get much traction, it can be a good idea to evaluate them based on a few factors: seasonal relevance, keyword optimization, and overall demand. If you feel they’re not aligning with your shop’s current direction or customer demand, it might be worth considering removing them. Not sure if you’ve explored any coaching or strategies to optimize your shop further, but we go over this exact topic and more in our modules. We’ve helped over 2000 Etsy sellers, many reaching $5K, $10K+ months, and some even scaling beyond $500K/year. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to share more details about our coaching program and how we can support your growth!

Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 I'm thrilled to hear that you found the explanation clear and helpful. SEO can feel overwhelming at first, but you're on the right track by diving in. Have you had a chance to implement any of the tips yet? I'd love to hear how it's going for you!
This was great! Currently going through this. About 20% of my listings get a lot of traffic, the other 80% are dead to the wind. Thanks so much. Even after $60 of advertising on social media, people were not interested in my targeted products. I've worked all month on creating ideal marketing, tags, and proper photos. My "Loss Leaders" are not in my niche, but are getting my reviews and sales. I've had my Etsy for 9 years, have changed "niches" several times, and the last 2 years has sat empty.
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm glad that you liked the video! In my course, I touch on why I don't recommend paying for ads. If you don't have the correct strategy and/or SEO in place, this could be affecting your listings and other areas of your shop too! I would love to hear more about your shop and find ways to help you optimize! Always here for any questions you may have!
I've debated "scheduling a free call" but without at least a ball park price available or a price range, I'm hesitant. I wonder how many others are in the same boat?

@@dylanjahraus Thanks fr the detailed and prompt reply... I currently have a FT online business but looking to diversify...How much time should I realistically be prepared daily to invest in my Etsy shop(s)?
That’s great to hear! Diversifying your business is a smart move. In terms of time commitment, it really depends on your goals and the stage of your shop, but I’d suggest starting with around 1-2 hours a day. We would love to connect with you on a call. We can help any questions you may have there :)
Great advice regarding quality over quantity listings. Do this video's recommendations fully apply to an Etsy shop that sells art, antiques, and vintage collectibles, or are there other practices that come into play for growing a shop yhat doen't focus on handmade, POD, or digital products? Thanks.
Thank you for your thoughtful question! While many strategies in the video can definitely apply to shops selling art, antiques, and vintage collectibles, there are some nuances to keep in mind for these unique categories. Since your products are likely one-of-a-kind, focusing on creating compelling listings and optimizing for organic traffic might work better than trying to scale quantity. What’s been your biggest challenge with your shop so far?
Very interesting video!! Thanks for all the info! However, how should I A-B test now? I've got quite a few listings that aren't selling, aren't getting a lot of exposure, but have got good click through and conversion rate. Also I have a lot of listings that just didn't generate enough data to make the decision to de-activate them. Also some, listings take of a little later. But i do have got too many listings that aren't selling.. What do you recommend?😃
We'd really want to dig into your stats here to guide you more clearly. A lot depends on how old your shop is and how many times that listing has renewed. Can you send me a DM at @DylanJahraus on IG so we can take a look together more closely?
I’m on the verge of giving up on Etsy 😢. I used to have 20 to 30 listings, all handmade products. Views are less than 10! Now I have 8 listings only as I moved all my listings to Shopify late last year but so far no sales yet over there too. I used to like Etsy as I do have sales (not a ton, but at least 10/mth) and that was before all the changes in Etsy. I am not from US so maybe that have to do with “localisation” that Etsy mentioned before. I am not going to give up after i see this video as this is the new year and time to change a few things. I think my biggest problem is photos. So first thing first, i think i will retake better photos for my products, 🤞using my phone. Thank you for your encouragement 💜
Hey, I have just started my etsy pod shop 4 days ago so my traffic is too low yet, plus just yesterday I saw one of your SEO videos and had to change all my titles and tags because they were terrible. How long should I expect to see results on my seo? This way I can notice if it is actually done correctly or if I should improve my seo. Currently my total views are 50 Thank you❤
It’s amazing that you’ve already started making improvements to your shop-great job taking action so quickly! SEO results typically take 4-6 weeks to show after you’ve made changes, as Etsy’s algorithm needs time to recognize and adjust to your updates. Keep an eye on your traffic and sales during that time, and don’t hesitate to tweak things if needed! What are your goals for your shop? Are you aiming to go full-time with it, or is this more of a hobby for now? Either way, I’d love to help guide you on your journey and ensure you’re set up for success. 😊
Thank you for answering!! My goal for now for this shop is to generate some income as I am studying but also I am aiming to scale it and generate enough money to live from that. The only thing that scares me a little is not increasing my visibility and become stuck. For now I have few visits and I suppouse it’s okay until it has been a few more weeks
Thank you for sharing that! It’s great to hear about your goals of generating income while studying and eventually scaling your shop to be sustainable. Visibility and increasing traffic can definitely feel like a hurdle, but it’s something we can help with! We work with 1000's of Etsy sellers that are getting ready to start a shop or are in the beginning phases of their business or even seasoned sellers. Not sure if you have considered help? But we’re coaching over 2000 students right now, many of them are over $5K+, $10K+ months. We have students doing $500K/y + revenues. Happy to share more if you’re interested!
Great video. What about someone that doesn't actually have a bunch of listings because everything is handmade or it's not necessarily a full time job? I have about 40 listings of a good variety but there's no way I could plan on more without getting too far from my niche and was even thinking about getting rid of at least 10 listings that haven't moved at all.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! It's fantastic that you’ve been able to build a solid collection of 40 handmade listings-that’s no small feat when you’re putting so much care and creativity into your work. Handmade products take time and energy, and it’s clear you’re really mindful of staying true to your products, which is so important. It’s also okay to focus on quality over quantity, especially if this isn’t your full-time job. Having fewer, well-optimized listings that resonate with your target audience can be more effective than trying to offer a wide variety that strays from your customer base. What kinds of products do you make?
