    I’ve heard that the surge is a little slower than the fuel, but much smoother.

    • @IMPACT-NATION
      @IMPACT-NATION  Год назад +1

      It’s way slower😂. It’s definitely not made for torque but it’s great for what it was designed for

    • @robot7611
      @robot7611 Год назад +2

      I have the M12 surge impact driver. I started busting screw heads. Definitely need to adjust to it because you don't feel the torque before the head snaps.

    • @DiligentDave1966
      @DiligentDave1966 Год назад

      @@robot7611 I don’t think it matters too much what type of impact driver you use.
      I have also broken screw heads with my 20v Dewalt and my M12 brushed impact drivers.
      The screws from the box stores are cheaply made and, if you hit a knot or a dense spot in the wood, the screw will break.

      Torque ratings are hugely different i saw a channel that a guys stated the surge has 450 inch lbs of torque and the regular impact driver has 2,000 inch lbs of torque. Surge has its uses I guess

      @@YoungHeartedSoul The Surge is definitely less powerful than the regular Fuel impact driver.
      I think that’s why a lot of HVAC installers like the Surge. It’s quieter and easier to control than the Fuel.

      Yeah that’s one milwaukee tool I really liked man. The Gen 3 impact and the surge. It just was designed for heavy torque. It’s fast and impacts hard but depends on the load you’re putting on the motor

      I wonder whatever happened to the Ridgid version of the surge, Oh that's right Emerson pulled the Stealth Force of the shelves 17 hours after it debuted on the red carpet at Home Depot. I swear I took a dump came back it was all gone.
      I think it was midnight when nobody was looking they pulled the plug on it along with Ridgid entire 12 volt line. That was some Stealth black ops maneuver bro.

      @IMPACT-NATION  2 года назад

      @@rickyperkins232 can’t argue with that🤣. Ridgid fans, your rebuttal? I thought the stealth force was an impact wrench🤣🤣🤣. All jokes aside it’s quiet and powerful. I don’t understand why Ridgid didn’t give some of their best tools a chance?

      @@IMPACT-NATION here is the absolute truth, when it comes to cordless power tools Emerson doesn't care about good or bad tool, they care about the sales today, right now, instant gratification.
      Look at Ridgid plumbing tools or Ridgid wet/dry vaccuum which is King, are they treated the same, short and long answer NO. Ridgid has no patent pending for their cordless tools but go look at the plumbing side.
      It's like 2 different companies under Emerson man. Ridgid Cordless Power tools has no direction and only care about sales.
      Plus their marketing department is stupid. Who does Ridgid target their tools sale? Skills is crushing Ridgid.
      At this point Ridgid is another Porter Cable in the making.
      Home Depot rental Department does not have Ridgid Cordless Power tools but FLEX is represented as a matter of fact most of the commercial brand are represented there.
      Please don't get me started, who goes from plastic chuck to metal chuck and back.
      Let me show you how stupid Ridgid marketing Department is: Ridgid basically invented the 7 1/2" Sliding Miter saw, made it only available online then after a year put it on the shelves but here is the kicker from day one it stayed on back order and limited stock available in stores(more like not available instore) it was just for display. Ridgid Houdini that saw quickly. Ridgid was so far ahead it took Milwaukee over 2 years to bring there 7 1/2" along with DeWalt to market.
      Ridgid worm drive saw, who is the target market? If any manufacturer makes a true worm drive saw there is only one market for it and Ridgid has no clue.
      I am not even going to talk anymore about this self explosives brand

      You talkin to me?
      Sorry, that was my failed attempt at a Robert Deniro impression.
      Are you seriously asking? Or is this a rhetorical sarcastic question?
      I’ll actually use both. Wich ever one I’m in the mood for. An impact is safer and hardly no effort at all. The newer market drills are getting safer though with anti kickback technology but they cut out at the worst time. Not allowing the drill to do what it was made to do

      @@snowhazard0115 exactly what you said too man. I hate sounding like an asshole to people cause I’m far from it but you get tired of people hounding you all the time lol. Nothing wrong with drill with an impact. These high powered ones will actually not even impact on smaller bits in a sense working as a drill.

    • @nickloven6728

      @snowhazard0115 yeah, usually I have to drill a hole in some really tight spots. The impact is just lighter, smaller and alot faster to change bits than the drill.
