Now this brings back memories. went to movie premiere and thought ok be one of the last to leave cinema in Leicester Sq. Wandering downstairs looked behind and Simon le Bon, Grace Jones and ....? Told you couldn't remember everything. No photos as checked for cameras going in. Nice memory though.😀
Do you not know, the BBC didn't allow live studio music, at that time, those instruments were probably the BBC's. I don't think they were to worried about what keyboard was being used if it wasn't a live recording.
I had kind of forgotten how much I like durannies bass lines, I saw them live in Dublin twice in about 2005 and 2012 maybe, the only gigs I have ever been surrounded by women for a nice change from the usual crowds of blokes in black Tshirts!
Filmed in London 13th May 1985. I was a college teenager then but on that day on a student's overseas trip to Paris . Funnily enough the songs video was shot there.
No they didn't split up but, as we all know, Andy buggered off, came back & buggered off again. Fortunately they are still the best band around after all these years 😁
You can hence so much Arcadia- Power Station here...unfortunately it was indeed the end, only to be reckoned even more so after that "View to a kill" at Live Aid, and then some...🤐
Thanks for sharing, mate! Lol I've never much listened to them but after reading Peter Steele from Type O Negative mentioning them several times as what music he was into.. Hah" here I am! Good song indeed. third I've heard after Ordinary world and Come Undone
If you have Netflix, then there is a documentary about Duran Duran, on there, called "is there something you should know" only 50+ mins, but worth a watch and should give you more of an insight into why Peter was influenced by them. Thanks for commenting Sheila.
poor guy roger taylor, nobody talks to him or give him the center spot, and he spins around at the edge of the stage almost fell to the ground poor thing!
Simon le Bon looks like a modern James Bond 007 here who’s dressed and is singing like a rock star. 😂 Seriously, his looks could pass James Bond movie title role, not to mention he was sent to an acting class when he was a kid too.
(You can always tell who the non-Duran Duran fans are when they mix-up the band members' names)... John Taylor was highly underrated as a bassist; He continues to be an inspiration. Check out his bass-playing during their 1982 New Year's Eve live performance of "New Religion" at the Palladium in New York!

I remember watching this. Bob Hope was on the show and Duran were going to appear at his birthday party.

I love when they have a Fairlight CMI keyboard on stage, and ORCH 5 sound plays loud.
