Mary Grace Canfield was best known for her role on the hit comedy series "Green Acres" as Ralph Monroe, Hooterville's all-thumbs carpenter. She appeared in more than 40 episodes of the show during its six-season run from 1965 to 1971. I always thought she was special.
I knew she looked familiar when I was watching Green Acres. I have the whole series myself on DVD. When I first seen Ralph, I was just thinking how familiar she looked.
Yes exactly... unfortunately today it's not like that anymore I mean you have to attractive or not and people real quick to judge you... people are just shallow today...but this is a good episode...I love it
"She's nice ,real nice". The fun ended early however as Mary (Ralf) Grace had to get up early to finish her work on Oliver's farm house on Green Acres 😀
I love the look on Mary Grace's face when she realized that the reason Gomer left was to get her a corsage and not because he was running out on her. She seems so happy. 😊
We all have been guilty of judging someone from there appearance and have lost out getting to really know them for they really are! The total respect he showed is a classic example of how people should be treated! No one has control over what they look like, but as my granddad told me longago, judge people by there actions, not by what they look like.
I would say he can dance as well..........well maybe not that well! I am sure he was livid when he found out..........or was that someone else? I am sure whoever it was was livid..........or maybe not that livid! After all, Gomer is a nice person..........maybe not all that nice!
Gomer knows what's important! A lady cant go to a dance unadorned. And he wants to spend time with her. He may not be a Don Juan like Barney ...but we can't all be like Barney.
This scene makes me cry.
Gomer and Mary Grace had a better time than anyone else 😁

Old Town manners, excepting someone without the greatest looks or personality and make others fill welcome and respected, don't judge so quickly.

It is the place to be!

She's nice she's reeeeeal nice😂😂😂😂
Odd that the music on my old black and white Zenith TV sounded better than on my $2000 stereo.
It's always fun to watch Gomer dance whether in Mayberry or in the Marine Corps.
The way Gomer dances it’s a total workout. 😊
I thought she was going to say, "howdy doody".
What is the name of the song that was playing when gomar and Mary grace was dancing to.
It sounds like a very jazzy (improvised) cover of "42nd Street"
I wonder if Hank Kimble can dance as well as Gomer?
When he heard about Gomer a part of him was livid.

Nailed it.
