For one thing Opie wouldn’t lie to me. YOU a call that evidence?! And....another thing is Opie doesn’t know how to WRITE yet... Well what’s that got to do with-?! Don’t you just love their relationship~
"There once was a deputy named Fife. Who carried a gun and a knife. The gun was all dusty, the knife all rusty cuz he never caught a crook in his life"....lol
@@markwillcox720 Why can't you just enjoy it for what it is without going on a racist and homophobic rant? You're sucking all the joy out of great wholesome show.
Mr Richard you sir are correct, it's got to be one of the best! I think Otis doing his driving test in the courthouse floor with Barney, making car sounds and having road rage back in 1964 hot rod Otis first aired 2/17/1964 another 2 thumbs up 👍👍😁
that is pretty funny, what's even funnier is when opie gets thelma lou and andy tells barney that he never should have told opie about his secrets of getting women. it's called `the rivals'.
Loved this show. Much much older now, I still love it. Andy reminded me of my dad. Clever, gentle & he says what he means. Always w a bit of humor. I still have my dad. At nearly 100 years old, he hasn't changed a bit ❤
Barney:-“Andy, we need a good murder. No not anybody we know, Maybe two strangers come thru town, and one wants to kill the other, they may as well do it here”
Barney had a pair of handcuffs in his left pocket right before Opie walks in. Then suddenly they disappeared. Must have been shot in 2 different scenes. LOVE THIS WHOLESOME SHOW!
60+ years later, I still don’t know WHO wrote that poem on the courthouse wall. Same age as Ron Howard, he was my hero as a boy growing up. Still watch every day, can’t help it 😂
Barney's a good deputy, a nut sometimes, but he's not a very good detective... blaming a 6 year old little boy whose not 4ft and can't even write for composing that poem on the wall of a bank! Lol
I am watching. Andy. Griffith show episode Barney’s Physical & Aunt Bee was right on the Money when Barn had the Hiccups & she said hold your breath & drink 5 sips of Water. IT WORKS. & it’s No. Wise Tail
🌿🐿 @Olga bagley Another way works as well. If you can force a burp or a flat out belch...that should end the hiccups!! Just warn folks that it's coming!
He could perhaps write individual letters, but I doubt he knew enough to write an entire limerick. There wasn't as much of an academic "push" back then, and many children wouldn't have begun to read and write until at least 6 or 7.
That could be a very easy case to solve but a hard case to prosecute because the lead witness could have problems in school which may create more episodes :)
Perhaps the greatest television series of all time
Most definitely
They took off like 2 hound dogs backed into a porcupine. And he says it so perfectly! 🤣
Arguably the greatest show of its kind.
My Dad exploded at that poem. I wish I could hear him laugh like that again.
I believe somday u will
Sounds like VP of today
Opie had to be the cutest kid with great lines and great timing ever on TV
Yeah. Opie was just the cutest kid🥰🤩😘
Opie’s “Are you a criminal” scene in a different episode is my favorite.
Barney’s reaction is priceless!😆😆😆
I don’t even know how Andy Griffith kept a straight face after hearing the poem, I would have busted out laughing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣yelp
Because it was in the script?
@@brendalg4 but you can clearly see that he was trying to keep himself from laughing by trying to cover his mouth.
@@brendalg4 Yep
I think he walked away and covered his face at that point.
I love Andy's face after he reads that poem
“I replaced the pea but I ain’t going to charge you for it.” 😂
Great show that is etched in my memory until the day i die. We watched as a family every week and it was a beautiful time growing up in the 60s.....
If u ever come back to these comments i want u to no ther r many of us who feel the same way
At least you ⌚ TV! My dad made us watch Ed Sullivan! Ha
After Barney read the poem you notice Andy cover his mouth and turn away to hide the fact he was laughing.
He did that a lot throughout the series. 💗😆
Yeah, it’s called acting. smh
“If only somebody’d just..kill somebody!”
“Barney!!”
“Well, not anybody we know!”
😂😂😂
“Maybe we ought to advertise” 😂😂
“...I replaced the pea in it, but I ain’ta going to charge you.”

If The Andy Griffith Show ISN'T in your Top 5 Sitcoms List, I DON'T wanna know ya.
Ron Howard was one of the cutest little tykes on TV. He always made me laugh with his well-timed communicate and still yet, innocent deliveries.
Opie, was a adorable little boy
Pure Americana!

Why did he carry a knife?
In case he used up his bullet.
