INTERESTING THAT THE SPECIAL EFFECTS FOR THIS SHOW THAT WAS FILMED IN 1964 WAS MUCH NICER THAN THE EFFECTS ON THE RECENT "BEWITCHED" MOVIE WITH NICOLE KIDMAN...!!!
They were practical effects - no CGI, which is why they look so good! I wish we could go back to that time because films and shows were just wonderful then. The magic was so real.

Liz loved games like doing crossword puzzles. She did it in another episode. She also played tennis and i think golf. She also enjoyed pro basketball and I think baseball. She said once that people spotted her at a baseball game and started yelling "twitch". I think she got a kick out of it.

She had these 4 Hybrid Wolves, they really were Beautiful but were trained to guard. I believe in people studying crafts only in a good, useful manner. Never to hurt others even though it could be tempting 🙂
I never understood why they didn't say Sam parents had old money 💰💰. That could have explained so much. The travel.... clothes..... the gifts for the kids Etc.....

Those who have expressed this view I respect, but York had become a liability prior to his having to leave. Writing double scripts, one without him, York showing up under the influence of drugs, or unable to work. This cost the studio time and money. Things came to a head when York passed out on set and had to be taken to the hospital. I heard that execs at Screen Gems said that York had to be released. Sad though it was, the studio tried their best to accommodate his needs. But a medical event probably raised red alerts in the human resources (personnel) department. But the story goes that panic hit the production office when Elizabeth Montgomery talked about leaving. So Screen Gems gave her a substantial raise and partial ownership of BEWITCHED. I like both actors, but I prefer Sargent's Darrin. I found him to be more mature and understanding, and less volatile than Dick York's, especially in seasons three thru five.

His Darrin, from seasons three to five, felt he could control Sam by screaming at her. That mostly didn't work. But what it did show was that York's Darrin could be abusive and that has been a criticism of the writing. In my view, York's Darrin, in these seasons, was the weak one. Sargent's Darrin, for the most part, he and Sam discussed issues. To often, York's Darrin blew his cool. Weak and could be brought to tears? Well, instead of respecting Dick Sargent, Agnes Moorehead decided to insult him. Liz got onto Moorehead and told her to apologize. She wasn't going to put up with bullying. But Moorehead still made comments that upset Sargent. I think that Agnes Moorehead resented York's having to leave and took it out on Sargent. Later she'd say it wasn't personal.
Both Darrens were superb , it is not nice to compare . Poor Dick York had to leave the program because he hurt his back badly . Give Dick Sargent a chance
