I thought I couldn't be more impressed than what you did with the tabletop pattern. Then I was impressed all over again with the leg supports. I haven't seen joinery like that outside of traditional Japanese carpentry. Fantastic! Saving this video among my favorites. It actually makes me tear up to think you will have this as your family grows up, and as your kids have kids and so on, everyone sitting around it for years to come enjoying each other's company. 💛

This is honestly stunning work. The 3D effect is mesmerising. The 200+ hours sounds insane until I remind myself it took me 3-4 months just to partially rebuild the interior of our caravan, working on it every chance I got. Even a pretty basic friggen chopping board takes me hours.

About halfway through the top construction, I said in awe: "this man is quilting with wood" (My mother is a quilter and like with this project, there's a lot of connecting things together in ways that bear little to no resemblance to the final pattern unless you know what you're looking at. Indeed, the techniques are quite similar, just with scissors and sewing machines rather than saws and glue.
Also, that final glue up for the top....holy crap that was something else! Takes a LOT of guts to lay out that much glue on that many pieces of wood for a single glue-up! Doubly so when the wood in question has already been carefully processed and refined to even get it to that stage!

That is incredible! Beautiful and amazing. The amount of complex math needed boggles the mind.

Amazing video edits. Amazing table. Amazing wood working shop. Amazing collection of clamps xD What i find even more amazing is that you made it to keep it. This table will last for many many years. The memories your family will have of the past meals on the table. Im sure the table will be passed on from generation to generation.
