I am the lucky owner of one of the boards in this video. After you consider the quality of the materials, workmanship, and sheer artistry it’s a phenomenal bargain. This is not simply a cutting board, it’s a statement, equal parts functionality and art. My board will live on our kitchen island, for all to enjoy, and never put away. Btw, pictures don’t remotely do justice to Ryan’s work.
Man this cube design is unreal!!! So are the rest of your tables with the same type style. You have singlehandedly sparked my lust for creativity again. You are a master of your craft sir.
I think it’s great that Ryan has learned there are a lot of people with too much money on their hands. Now he can support his passion for creating beautiful wood projects.
As a fellow woodworker without every high-end tool in the shop, you are one of my favorites. Awesome to see you grow so fast!! Keep up the quality honest content

Beautiful! I have a cutting board Im making for my brother that was supposed to be his Christmas present. I got a TON of long hardwood scraps from a friend of mine that has a cabinet shop. First time building a cutting board so I really enjoyed the build process. Thanks!
For scraping glue, I use a pull-type paint scraper. They are cheap and effective. Blades have four sides and can easily be resharpened. This tool works well with dried glue. Think of it as a much stronger card scraper. Mine can even remove whisper-thin shavings.
I was waiting your video a lot but I finally waited at last!!! It's amazing. Your cutting boards are perfect as rule. I hope you'll please your viewers more often 😊👍
Those look awesome bro. I've followed you from the beginning and can say you have come along way and it's awesome to see. It's awesome to see you have a really nice planer now and flattening system. Gives me hope lol
As I watched this, I"m truly amazed at the time and patience that was put into this project. Over the top? That goes without question, but was it worth it to this viewer------indeed!!! Love the craftsmanship.
Great work Ryan! I'm getting into woodworking myself and only hope to build such beautiful pieces. I would just recommend you to look into masks or respirators (if you don't already) as prolonged wood dust inhalation can cause multiple health issues!
Great craftsmanship on your boards, people do not realize the amount of time it takes to make these cutting boards. Definitely enjoyed your process and end results.
I watched this video a good 3-4 times. I have been wanting to make this board and I think I know how much wood you would need if you also want to try making this. Everything else he explains in the video so no need to go into it. Here’s what you need if you don’t want the walnut borders: 1. 4 - 7 foot maple boards (8 inches wide) 2. 2 - 7 foot cherry boards (8 inches wide) 3. 2 - 7 foot walnut boards (8 inches wide) This will allow you to build one board 3 inches thick.
Another great video. Not sure which is better, your woodworking skills or video editing skills. Lol. I think these 3D cube boards are nice. You’ve had other patterns I like as well or maybe even better.
$1400 doesn't sound that crazy, given that this dude likely spent well over $100k on the building structure, machinery, tools, and then material. That's not even including the cost of his time. You can't deny that these boards are sexy as hell.
@@DanDuck-mg5fw Its worth however much your customers will pay. Thats why the truck is 85,000$ because people like my dad will rationalize saying "I work hard so I deserve this" and buy it.
I have made of couple of these cutting boards before but your technique is better than mine and therefore I might give it a go again in the spring. Thanks for the ‘well done’ video!!!!
Great video. Can you please discuss a bit more of not lining up the boards a bit more in depth and how much you tend to overlap and if you were to do it on a table saw to cut off that piece, how would you do it and how would you determine the angle of the blade when doing so?
My 13 year old son has just started making cutting boards as a little personal business so I'll definitely be showing him this so he know what's possible and to gain valuable tips from a pro!
I can’t believe how rude people can be! I think the final product is awesome. And who cares how you arrived at it, the fun is in the process and the joy in the results
Wow, the end result is amazing. I stumbled on your channel learning to make small wood working projects at home. I never thought a cutting board wood be this time consuming. ;) I subscribed just to see the process and results but the learning experience here is tremendous. I make so many mistakes as a novice and I don't have access to the tools or shop you have. Keep bringing on the project vids they are fantastic. You are great at explaining the how to. Best of luck in the New Year!
When I saw the price I was like 😮 but after seeing all the work and thought you put into this, I was shocked. For people saying it ain’t worth it, imagine going to a high end steak house and seeing them show you the different cuts of meat on a gorgeous board like this. It’s the little details that go a long way.
Simply amazing. With all the planning and work I certainly understand the $1400 price tag. The 3d design is like a piece of art. I would personally not pay $1400 as a cutting board, but maybe as a nice piece to display in the kitchen. Great job!
For people reading this review, it's okay, it's normal to feel lonely sometimes, if you're going through tough times, keep trying, but never give up, I wish you great success in your health, love, and happiness!
amazing, question on ur glue up. that is the cleanest set up, but using the wood to anchor the clamps…how is that wood not sticking to the cutting board?!?
I assume those are Cauls.. They are typically wood with some plastic or film on them. A great way to make them is to just make some parallel cut offs with some packing tape. The glue won't stick, and you can use them to better line up your glue ups.

Did you seriously pay $1400 for a cutting board?
Yes it is a statement..1,400 for a cutting board. Yeah!
@@jasonsfishcave684 Actually that’s Canadian 1400. $1033 US plus $75 shipping. Bargain. Some things are worth what they’re worth.
No, Jim, it's a cutting board

I love how you fixed the noise! Its so creative how instead of taking it out like most woodworking youtubers you made something unique
I appreciate hearing that!
Love the editing. The way the sped up parts ramp up and then down in speed and tone is great.
I liked it at first then found it annoying 😏

100% understand why it sold. Fantastic looking stuff!
They were great! As long as you can get people to pay what the effort is worth, I say go for it! I love it.

Incredibly beautiful pieces of art.
Some of the best looking and biggest boards I’ve seen, but $1400. I just couldn’t justify it.
