If the company goes south, they privately are not bankrupted! This guy busted his ass of in Metallica, never being able to plan ANY private time because when he received a call that he needed to be in the recording studio or another Metallica related thing, he had to drop everything and get his ass wherever he needed to be. 24/7, 365 days a year, and he did it without complaining because he loved his job. Jason earned EVERY single penny he made and every estate he may own. Jason isn't just an awsome dude and musician but a smart businessman as well, clearly.

Jason has a huge Lemmy vibe to him, especially in his vocals. He justified playing with a pick because of Lemmy, and he sounds similar to Lemmy as well. Jason fucking rocks! \m/
NEWSTED, NEWSTED, NEWSTED! The first time I've seen the dude play guitar as well. He's pretty good. Don't know if I should dub this a heavy metal or heavy rock band.
It was a good starting point for him. EP and album both got overall good reviews and they delivered live. Shame it ended before it did. Only criticism would be that Jason needed to calm down a little with the “I’m here to save metal” kind of speeches that he would make at gigs. Pretty sure metal is fine with or without him. And he needed to stop stealing Hetfields catchphrases. Hetfield spent the late 80s and 90s telling crowds “I need to see some action out there”. If he had started asking crowds to tell him how it felt to be alive I would have had to turn off 😄 Overall bring back Newsted. I’m sure he wrote a 2nd album but never released it. Shame.
Newsted is a pure inspiration. He took the abuse from those assholes and then having the balls to walk off the machine that is Metallica. Keep it up brother your a favorite in my book
I was fortunate enough to see this tour in NYC. The band rocked! Some d-bag knocked Jason offstage and got chased out of the club where he then got a beatdown for his actions.

i like this better than the produced music of Newsted. I like the vocals better raw instead of the overly produced studio recordings. he has a good metal voice, they dont let it shine on the studio stuff.

Newsted brings back that voice and hard bass playing as Lemmy Motorhead drive in their own unique way it's so sweet then a little Molly Hatchet in the there with a twist I've never and haven't heard something as new as this in metal godspeed to all of you this is pretty f****** sweet I just hope the guitarist doesn't have whiplash by the time the concert's over 😋

It's fairly hard to make the bass be heard on a recording like this. Besides that, the bass is hearable; it's just that people usually don't know where to listen.
What the hell has happened to this band? They are no where to be found, and I just tried to get on the band website and it says Jason Newsted has nothing to do with any social media outlets anymore, as of September 15th 2014. Anyone know what happened?
according to Wikipedia they disbanded due to poor reception from the fans. Idk about you guys but I'd definitely go see them live. At the very least for Newsted.

Jason was suffering from severe shoulder and back issues. That problem played a big part in him quitting Metallica (he has attributed the drugs he was taking as clouding his judgement somewhat). It took him this long to physically get to the point where he could tour an album. Also, the Metallica 30th anniversary shows stirred something in him that partly motivated him to put this all together.
..he plays so tight you almost can't hear him, that FAT-ness of the guitars is actually him on the bass, my favorite and most unique of the Metallica bassists imo! Great show!
