Remember watching this game really early in Ireland on a Saturday morning I think it was. The Aussies battered our line for the last 20 or so minutes but couldn't pass. Made me very proud of the boys in green that day. Looking forward to our game tomorrow in the Aviva :)
Beating Australia in rugby shouldn't be considered an upset anymore. Now I think about it beating Australia in anything shouldn't either, not that it ever was in the first place though.
A lot of very uncharitable comments on here by Ireland fans about Aussie arrogance and cockiness...... but they were actually well deserved comments, at that time! Particularly by Phil Kearns 🤣. Aussies have learned their lesson and are now respectful.
wouldnt it be nice just for once a southern hemisphere fan base congratulating a side that beat them from the north A or are trying to turn it into a hate fest like football, its not what we think rugby is all about.
Australia to win their Pool in 2019 Rugby World Cup but then lose to England in Quarter Final. They should of spent 4 Rugby World Cups in the row losing the Quarter Final. 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019.

Ireland's greatest RWC moment.
Auckland and New Zealand were LOVING it!
How times have changed. Australia beating Ireland would now be a big upset.
Indeed!!
Great to beat the arrogant Aussies, but easily done these days...
Well maybe not easily. They're always bubbling matches. Very satisfying though.

Wow this was considered an upset Holy hell Irelands come a long way
I will never forget the atmosphere at this game proud to be Irish
that o'connor tackle is the best cover tackle ive ever seen
viewboix too bad he couldn't kick his goals
Good on us. We ensured there was a traditional northern vs southern hemisphere final. Great stuff.

Back in 2011 it was though because they won the Tri nations and came 3rd that world cup.
The best game I was ever at.the atmosphere was unreal.
Northern hemisphere teams are much more conditioned now,and the southern teams are tending to struggle a bit with it...funny how times change...
Lmao what a joke. Super Rugby is miles ahead of any Northern hemisphere Rugby
***** And a 2nd string Chiefs side at that! Lmao what a joke
+haamoo Lesse... The semi finalists were NZ, SA, Australia and Argentina...? SANZAAR!
lmao 3-0
Red Welsh Dragon 2016, Due to the injection of Pacific Island players into the Northern game....
I was at this game. ....and I lost my voice screaming for the Irish... found it again singing Molly Malone afterwards though (hehe)
In Auckland's fair city, where the girls are so pretty, I first set my eyes on sweet molly malone!!!!!!!
Lol I remember phil Kearns before this game say Ireland weren't going to be celebrating much after tonight. Oh really 😂😂😂 #whataknob
certainly was by a quality player
What a Kick in the Wallabies come on Ireland.
Ireland beat Australia Today
Lol! Excuses, excuses.
Big difference to the Score if Wayne Barnes was the referee for this game

Look on the rugby world cup website, in the videos section every match is there in full.
Viewboix you must not be a big rugby fan if that's the best cover tackle youv'e ever seen
Nah, josh lewsey on De villiers is way better, but you're right, its still a great tackle
Ireland had a Unreal 15!
Blew it against Wales

no pocock and no ioane costed the aussies dearly
ireland beat the wannabe Brits
Brit exports.
Im irish and was horrified by the booing...not the irish way
can u use the computer??
NZ fans support the All Blacks, and anyone else who plays Australia.
Except England. We're not all that fond of England.
Australia lost this in purpose.
Ireland outplayed Australia this day but it was also a very sad day, the invention of the choke tackle. Rugby lost some of its soul that night.
Bit dramatic.
If Tommy Bowe looked to his left, he had about 5 players in support, a simple cross field kick would have led to a simple simple run in
David Clarke when do you ever see a crossfield from a winger at full tilt? incredibly hard to pull off
L
I know it was 15-6 in penalties, but these 'highlights'are shite.
Should be ashamed
