Just another great video that you have done it gives the average individual the insight on how easy it is as to how to swap things out yes there may be a few little things that you have to pay real close attention to and I think you have pointed that out as always i enjoy watching your videos
Looking stunning Steve. I really like the Advan Black color swap items, just a shame they don’t do two tone paint which I have on my 22 Ultra Limited. Great job and awesome video as always.
Looking good Steve. One thing I see you using all the time Steve is that Milwaukee ratchet, I been wanting one for a while now, even bought my brother one a few Christmases ago lol. Well I finally ordered one from home depot, they have them on sale right now, the ratchet, two batteries and charger for $199. Couldn't pass it up.
Hey Steve, I love the bikes you produce. Have a question on the tank dash and cover. What is the big difference between the 2007 and older vs the 2008 and newer? My poor ole 2006 seems to get little support on some of these things. Keep up the great work.
Thank you sir! The difference is the size..in 2008 they went to a 6 gallon tank from a 5 gallon tank. So the tank covers and dashes are very different.
Great video. Yesterday, I replaced my inner fairing using your guidance and it went flawlessly. After completing the job, when I turned on the ignition to check the electrical, everything worked fine (i.e., passing lights, headlights, brake lights, turn signals, 4-ways, stereo, etc.). The bike starts and runs flawlessly. However, now my “check engine” light is on. Any idea what might gave caused that?
Yes sir...as I mentioned in that video, you can get a check engine light after unplugging everything from the main harness..in this case its telling you, you have codes. Cycle through your codes and clear them. Make sure to turn off your bike and then turn it back on after clearing the codes. Run the bike and see if they come back up. By all means, they should not. Check out one of my older videos on how to check and clear DTC's here ruclips.net/video/ZV8xONzYsTU/видео.html
On the tank cover does it fit tight enough that it doesn't scuff up the original paint maybe from vibration or would you be able to protect it somehow?
I just pulled that charcoal tank cover off of the SG before putting on this zephyr blue one and no tank rubbing anywhere..that is with appx 10k miles on it.
@Sik Baggers Does AdvanBlack offer the color swap bundle with standard bags and rear fender??? *IF* I do a color swap, I’d rather keep the “stock” look on the bags and rear fender and I’m not really looking to do an extended tank cover either. Maybe a color swap is just not for me! I have a 2016 Electra Glide Ultra in I’m guessing Vivid Black with what looks like hand painted pinstriped flames.
Anything offered as far as a 2012 street glide? I’ve got the 2014 and up bags. Looking for an outer fairing. Advanblack website doesn’t seem to list one. I had to lay bike down over a week ago and am in need of a new fairing.
So measuring for the badges...First thing is to pull up a stock image on your phone of a CVO tank that has them OEM badges. I use painters tape to mock up about where i want it. holding it in place with the painters tape... This part takes time on the first one...take your time, look at the image and see where the OEM one is ... Use that as a reference. I measure from the front tank bolt straight back across the tank and use painters tape to mark my leading edge. Cut the tape over on a table making sure the edge is straight. Now take another piece of painters tape and go from the tip of the emblem up to the tank dash....cut the tape to the length. BEFORE you take the tape off, mark the opposite side of the dash straight across from where you just put that piece of tape..so it equal on the other side. So now you have your vertical line. After sticking the first side, you now have 2 piece of tape, peel them and place them on the other side You already have your horizontal line because you will use the tank bolt again. PRO TIP...you cant see both sides of the tank at the same time...so it just needs to be fairly close..so dont sweat it too much lol. I hope this helps.
I get mine from either Mike Suggit at Detroit choppers or I get them from Joel Harrison at JH Choppers....those two guys make the bes pre formed tank badges...cnc cut chrome, black, two tone powder coating..whatever you want, they can do it..and the fit. Stay away from the ebay/amazon ones...they are junk and not bent to the shape of your tank
LOL...I agree! An honest time table on the whole bike...if you stay at it and do one piece after another without taking breaks....6 hours. Oh and I should mention this is also "sober" haha
all wrapper front fenders have spacers on them...if you look at an oem fender the legs that come down are not straight..they angle out to the legs...on a wrapper they do not angle out, they are straight so you need to fill that gap with the provided spacer
Great content bro…! Hey we’ve got one of our own in need. Don’t know if you’re sub’d with Itchymoche n Vee….. great brother been giving us great content along time, great stories to share. Check out his latest video. His wife’s really been battling. Thanks Steve.
The sad thing is is that this bundle is only offered in Street Glide and road Glide so if you have a ultra limited like I do or road King or CVO you're pretty much hit on anything that is accessible like this

Didn't realize it was that easy. Thank you for the video.
Yes...pretty easy stuff...and I have the complete walk through videos over on the advanblack channel too.
I think advanblack has some top notch stuff
yes...been rocking it on both bikes for years...thanks for checking it out!

thank you dwayne! I do cover all of the really important stuff over on the advanblack youtube channel in the actual install videos.
Great looking color and bike, but I would have left bar and shield of the tank.
Initially i didnt like the colour but after seeing it on and with all the chrome it actually looks sharp.
I was really hoping the chrome would set it all off...I think it did it pretty well..thanks for checking it out!
I didn't see part 2 but, I did guess the color correctly on part 1's comment section the other day!
Looking stunning Steve. I really like the Advan Black color swap items, just a shame they don’t do two tone paint which I have on my 22 Ultra Limited. Great job and awesome video as always.
yes sir...two tones are hard to do without having the bike there to lay out the lines..

yes! That is my number one GO TO tool..every job I grab that thing..makes things so much faster...you will love it!
Great job Steve, !ove your stuff !
thank you scott!! Much appreciated sir!

@@sikbaggers ok that makes sense visually they look the same so had me questioning. Thanks so much for the response

This is awesome!
thank you sir!
Bike is looking good
thank you ryan!
Who makes the spark plug cover? I like the design of yours
Made by Ciro but they dont make them any more,
You mentioned that you polished and waxed the new parts. No more Duracoating?
yes...this was not the final tin set for this bike at the time...still waiting on the new tin set, all 3 pieces will get duracoating
On the tank cover does it fit tight enough that it doesn't scuff up the original paint maybe from vibration or would you be able to protect it somehow?
Same interest here, are there any pads or something similar to prevent wear from vibration?

@@sikbaggers awesome, thanks Steve.
Yup 👌👍😎

aah not at this time ...we do not currently have a stock front or rear fender...we have the wrapper and the cvo or dominator rear fender.
“It must be nice”
Edit-sorry-that was my road king special talking. We know you’re working on it.
LOL..yes sir...they are working on it
Look awesome Whoo weeee
thank you!

Hi Steve looking good, how did you measure up the install of the tank bar and shield emblem to ensure the placement was right on both sides. Thanks
And where did you get the bar and shield emblems? I'm having troubles trying to find those...
Steve, definitely interested in this as well. What steps do you take to ensure the badges line up on each side and are angled correctly?

Well if it only takes 16 minutes, everyone should be doing it!
LOL...I agree! An honest time table on the whole bike...if you stay at it and do one piece after another without taking breaks....6 hours. Oh and I should mention this is also "sober" haha
what do you mean by chrome spacer is that to make room for the 21' rim and tire or spacer for for the rim axle?
all wrapper front fenders have spacers on them...if you look at an oem fender the legs that come down are not straight..they angle out to the legs...on a wrapper they do not angle out, they are straight so you need to fill that gap with the provided spacer

Can the tank cover fit with on a Limited with the Headset plug? 🏍💨🏍💨
it can if you eliminate the headset and and dash and replace with our low profile tank dash.
Where did the Harley emblem come from?
Mike Suggit at Detroit Choppers detroit-choppers.com/
