What an introduction tho😂 "2 years ago 4 young men from england decided that psychadelic rock shouldn't have died. So what did they do? They bought black clothes and a few sunglasses and formed the Sisters of Mercy."
SOM is as psychedelic as Britney Spears is heavy metal. They have always said that even the label "Goth" is laughable on them and that their roots are in 60s and 70s garage/alternative/early punk like The Velvet Underground, The Stooges or Suicide.
I wish i could've experienced this time 🖤 where these bands were at their prime, i absolutely love 80's culture as well as all the aspects of the goth subculture
I never listened to them much back in the day but have grown to love this band over the years, went to see them in Manchester last year and Andrew is still rocking it
Neulich ein Video aus den Anfangszeiten geguckt - und ich muss sagen: paar andere Klamotten an und schon sind die Grufties, vorher waren die Bubis, das einzige was er behalt hat ist ein weißes Hemd. 😁😉👍🏻👍🏻
I was in the West Germany when I saw this (was his name Holger? the Former Einz presenter) but a punk friend of mine recorded it on VHS instead... I wonder where is Ricardo Mussolini now...
Héroes del silencio es más un paralelo a The mission UK que a sisters, bueno partiendo más de uso de una batería acústica y no una máquina de ritmos como solía hacerlo sisters
don escandaloso before the Royal Albert Hall gig. Gary left after the UK tour in March, the three of the them then toured Europe & the US April - June, before finishing with the RAH gig.
Yeah, very very shortly before this. They did prett damn well as three piece for a few final gigs though, but Marx was THE original sister, it seems only right that it disintegrated in drug fuelled fear and loathing in the wake of his departure.
A shame that the presenter talks crap at the start, saying that Eldritch had written all songs up until that point - especially when this is a Hussey composition, musically.
that post apocalypse cowboy look was fucking cool
no wonder Simon Pegg copied it in "The World's End" :D

Except that they aren’t even psychedelic rock..
@@simplyphenomenal695 Yeah exactly, that's what baffled me so much about that intro
Krautland's journaille 😜

Wayne Hussey is a Mastermind🖤
Hussey the mission
Who’s Wayne hussey?
What style the singer had!!
00:31 what a delight to my ears
geile Musik! musik aus meiner Jugend
Das Konzert 85 in der Zeche Bochum war einfach nur gigantisch und auch das Gespräch danach mit Wayne Hussein war schlicht genial.

Also a good band
All time classic clip, always watch this, as many others do
Un clásico ♡
That intro is brilliant.
Yeah me too. Great footage. One of my top 5 sisters trax.
The things you( sigh), sometimes have to do in life....
Wayne hussey is a soccer genius
Legendario, dioses ❤
Tremendo recuerdo 🥰
He lived in that snakeskin shirt
Fantastic!

Forever
Gary marx left the band after the tour in usa 85. For disagrement With eldritch
Great upload! Go Craig lad! )
no cry to time
Nice playback!
The music is written by Wayne Hussey, not (as said by Ingolf Lück) by Andrew Eldritch. It´s a nearly typical "Hussey Song"...
As much as it is a Gary Marx song which originally stems from Demo-times way before the release of the single or the LP...
Yes!
its just i search for cradle of filth than i saw this 🔥
This dude in the beginning perfectly shows how out of touch the Sisters were with the current times.
🔥🔥🔥
Farewell single inspiring me to form sunbeam and light rays sonnheln strahl und die licht strahlen
Well, nice lip synching. But still cool.
The don't even pluged the guitars in. I allways smile, when I see those playback performances when they play like mad with the guitar not plugged in.

'It's just like Jesus never came'! Looking at the world today, has anything really changed?
While these guys may be cool as a winter storm, they have no idea about the nature of God/Jesus.
Sisters remained The Smiths!
