@@trashyraccoon2615 to be fair that would make a bunch of goth bands industrial like Rosetta Stone, the Ancestry, Sans Merci & a load more. Not saying they're not similar, but...
@@Skiamakhos Agreed. I wouldn’t call it industrial myself, but it’s definitely a fusion of rock and electronic music which is kind of what industrial is. A lot of those terms are just for marketing purposes anyway. Just don’t call it Goth or Andrew will get mad at you! Lol.
I was there. I did. Their records were in that category at Tower Records. What you think now, doesn’t matter. That was what Andrew was dealing with. And either you were not paying attention, or you were not alive if you "never heard the Sisters labeled as industrial " They were.
If he's not yanking the woman's chain on war in the middle east he's a bit messed up to say the least. Real John Lydon vibes here of trying to be controversial and failing at times
He was taking the piss. He's had on the web site for years now The Sisters are an "industrial Groove Machine" etc. etc. They're barely industrial, though, in reality. Too bad the man cannot sing anymore! The latest Sisters incarnation is godawful, meanwhile they just announced another US tour this past week (5/2024). I'm giving it a miss and I"m a massive Sisters fan for decades now.
Gotta love Andrew’s taking a piss with every question 😂
It's a bit childish but yeah
HELPP THE INTERVIEWER NOT UNDERSTANDING HIS SARCASM
Eldritch interviews always have some humour...its like a performance for him i guess
Never heard the Sisters labelled Industrial...
I have
I can hear it somewhat. The mechanical sounding drum machine gives it an industrial feel. Good old Dr. avalanche

"I really liked it a lot, it was really different from everything else on the record" 🤣
33 years later, she's still recovering from this.

That interviewer was not prepared for his response to her questions. I can still feel the awkward vibe all these years later. Lol
He’s fabulous
I lost it when he said hippie camp with a straight face lmao
total lack of awareness on her part to get the irony
The way with him is tease a little, don’t make radical affirmations and specifically don’t talk about industrial goth
she's not clever enough to interview him ,sorry
Or he's simply trying to be "clever" too much
"Not just the eyebrows, viewers." 😆
ANDREW ELDRICH IS GOING BACK TO LEEDS!!!!
If it wasn’t for the alternative music genre he wouldn’t have any fans
We were listening to him sing long before they tried to make it "alternative"
he is so silly
lol agreed
2:20 has me dying
Good shit Jack!
What's the band he likes at 8:53? Anyone got this?
Screaming Blue Messiahs
