Why did we start using spray plaster?

Why did we start using spray plaster? It's much easier than traditional plaster. Have you seen Ian? He's the definition of skinny fat. There's no way he could push around plaster all day.
So he thought, "Why not use a machine to do it all for you? It makes your life a lot easier and quicker."
