Many people have asked for this movie to be enhanced in it's original black and white form. I have gone ahead and done it in 4K at 60fps. The original was low SD resolution, not a good copy at all.
Although this is a 4K video, you can see it has struggled in parts. It looks good on smaller screens, not so good on a 55inch.
I have added a 5 minute intro to the beginning that shows part of the enhancement process. It is set to upscale the film from SD to 4K, increasing the frame rate to 60fps.
To cut out some of the blur, I also used AI facial enhancement that does make it look much clearer. You can see the difference in the enhancement process clip.
The process took just under 52 hours to complete.
If you don't want to watch the enhancement process, you can skip to 00:05:11 to watch the full movie.
I hope you enjoy this movie, it is one of the most popular that I've enhanced into colour.

Wonderful restoration - clear and crisp. It's nice to finally see the film the way it was meant to be seen. Thanks.

Thank you again :) I should have used deinterlacing for the bits that have lines across the screen. I know now in future how to fix that. A learning curve :)

Great restoration. Last time I watched this movie it was grainy and pretty unwatchable. Love this movie 🍿

Thank you for watching. It does struggle in parts. I think I should have used deinterlacing for the bits where you can see lines across the screen. I am still learning and will get better in time.

Awesome movie! Loved the dog. 😁
It’s a shame the original copy was so bad, we can definitely see it struggling in some scenes and it kinda breaks immersion a little bit but it is very watchable and I’ll gladly take it if it means we can actually see the movie. Besides it doesn’t happen too often. For the most part the movie looks great.
After a bit of research I see this movie did get a sequel, now I want to watch that one as well. Unfortunately the sequel didn’t do well enough for it to become a full blown franchise, I would have loved to see multiple adventures of the blind detective and his dog as I loved the characters. What a wasted opportunity. 😔

I love the movie and would love that dog :) Yes it does struggle a bit at times but now I have worked out the problem, I should have used deinterlacing to remove the lines. A learning curve, I will hopefully get better in time, but that's now something else I know what to do, just have to remember and with memory, that might be difficult lol.
I love the characters in the movie, its incredible acting, including the dog :)
