つまようじを挟んでボタンを付ける動画やブログがあったので参考にしました。
布とボタンの間につまようじがあるので、糸が同じ長さになって縫いやすかったです
There were videos and blogs that put buttons on the toothpicks, so I referred to them.
There is a toothpick between the cloth and the button, so the thread is the same length and it was easy to sew.

Using a leather needle (also called glovers needle) helps a great deal! The tip is like a triangular blade that cuts through the leather instead of trying to jam a standard needle through.
