    Main fabric is knit.
    No lining of the pocket.
    The yellow tape is just a "PP strap". This is in order not to slide while sewing (sewing gap). When the thickness of the fabric is different, the pressure of the presser foot and the feed dog are not stable. Putting this tape means adding the height, this is very useful.

    Beautiful craftsmanship and skill. And excellent camera work too. No drivel chatter or annoying music. Just good machines, great skills and someone showing me close-up what they do to get a result pretty well as close to perfection as you're going to find. Top marks! Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to show me this without wasting my time.

    I have subscribed to your channel because these videos are the GOAT for sewing/tailoring. Everyone who is learning to sew garments should watch, because this is the correct way to construct clothing. The methods used are perfection. The accuracy attained is what is needed so garments do not look "home made", which is a problem when using some commercial patterns directions. They use a lot of factory methods that are the quickest way, but not always the best way. The other thing I like is the camera work. It shows in detail every single step taken without a bunch of blather. Thanks for your outstanding work. You have changed how I use my tools and, I have acquired some new ones! I really want those pattern and cloth weights (the chromed bar), but they are just not available. I wish they were.

    • @ateliersaison
      @ateliersaison  5 месяцев назад

      It seems that the pattern weights we are using are only sold in Japan. I've looked for it on Etsy, Amazon, etc., but couldn't find it. Thank you for your a lot of kind words!

    You can also make a zigzag stitch. One prick needle in the pocket, and the other in the product. Opening a zigzag is much easier. Then, it is possible to sew exactly along the fold line.

    Great idea! I’m going to have to give this a try. I’m assuming that it is slightly easier with the terry cloth because of the stretch but with that tiny foot you can do it without stretch too. Also, a bar-tack machine? I didn’t know that was a thing. Very cool!!!
