I've had neighbors that were LDS and they were the best people. The gave me a heart attack for Valentine's day. Meaning, they plastered my garage doors and my front door with paper hearts and left a heart full of candy. It was the sweetest thing. 💕

Fun fact about those pine cones. The reason they are that solid is because they lay dormant underground for YEARS. They only activate when there is intense heat i.e. a forest fire.

Heavy so glad you hooked me up with Brent. I sat watching his channel for two days. However that's it for me. Closafobic real bad... Him going through all those shafts, I Brooke out into sweats and sick to my stomach. My believe is, we will be in the ground soon enough why rush it. Man I wish I could hangout in the shop. I used to be an amazing HVAC guy, built 3 very successful businesses for other people and after I finally started one for myself I was rear-ended on 6-16-2008 and have had 7 back surgeries since and now I'm on disability and really miss hanging out with with the guys building things. Thank you for posting your life because for some of us it's living through you.

Some species of evergreens have cones that look like they are indestructible, however they have actually evolved to burst open from fire. Natural fires have been a process of nature forever, and some plants take advantage of the destructive power of fire as part of a process of renewal. Nature is amazing.

As for the tree house my dad would have built one if we'd had a base tree. Only large tree near was on gas company property.
Take some of those pine cones wait till spring find a cleared spot bury it just below surface, have a bonfire on top, it will throw out seeds.

It looked like a cedar tree, which makes for beautiful furniture, but a tree house will be cool, but I would spray it with something to try to preserve it further. Amazing house and land, and enjoyed the part when you talked about your past. Most people are quick to judge, not knowing a persons past. Growing up around my dads tree business sometimes I wish we had a boom. Tree work is hard work but also good work.
Why wouldn't you have a boom? It's faster than any climber.
@@ryanschaff723 some times it’s faster. Depends on the job. If it’s 1 palm tree it’s quicker for us to climb it. But mainly we didn’t have one because we didn’t have a spot to store it.

So cool ,long story short lived in RI when I was little grandfather was a lineman ,my father and him cut a wire reel spool big one though it up in a tree made a cable zip line that went across the yard that same tree had a telephone pole laying across two trees where all the swings hung from ,my father also took an old rear end off a Ford took out the gear box dug a hole thew it in the ground passed the gear box took the other end fo the spool and made a merry go round, yeah I had a crazy cool back yard growing up till I moved to Alaska in 82,ok that's not short ,be safe bro
I grew up in that house. The tree was placed on a rare tree registry about 20ish years ago and it was there when my parents moved into the house in November 1963. It’s a Morocco Cedar from the Atlas Mountains of North Africa. It is (well was) the largest one in the State of Utah. It was the only cone bearing tree of its kind 20 years ago.
There are three on the State Capitol grounds and there are five on the BYU campus. There is also a Liberian Cedar which is on 26th Street and Nichols on the west side of the church parking lot.
There are three true cedar species one is the Morocco cedar one is the Liberian cedar located in the area that Christ walked and taught, and the third is the Himalayan cedar.
In the Atlas Mountain It grows 1 foot a year and reaches full maturity at 300 years (300 foot high and 100 foot in diameter). It obviously would never get that big as it isn’t in its natural environment. Sad to see it go.

With the price of lumber this year, your idea to use the tree for the base is a great idea. But of it was any other year, I would have chopped it down to use in a wood furnace
I "wood" of slabed it up and made epoxy river tables out if it.
Only because all of my kids are grown up.

When I was younger, about 20 plus year's ago, I worked at a family Saw mill, we cut up Spruce -n- Jack Pine, from what I've heard, the Mill I worked in, is shut down!!! Anyway's, lot's of work fer you guy's. 😀

Its Erik the IndianaBoy...Just a comment/suggestion/ my 2 cents...With the Tree house being a permanent structure, I probably would have poured a concrete footer before setting the tree in place...Or set the tree in place while the mud/concrete was still wet...20 years from now, the stump would start to rot and eventually settle... Something that might help would be to pour a concrete pad around the tree to shed water away but if the kids were to fall out of the thing, u wouldnt want concrete there...U asked for my 2 cents... If u want to give an IndianaBoy/Construction worker a job, I'd be proud to be a part of the team...I'm starting a small-scale excavation/demolition company in April but I'd leave for Utah with my camper for the right opportunity. I've been through Ogden on my way to Oregon few years ago...Anyway, your show is very entertaining with all the different scenarios...Also want to say thanks for all of the useful info as well as educational info on some of your ads...C ya...IndianaBoy

Pine tree plantations in Western Australia has taking alot of underground water lowering and suckling dry alot. No other trees or plants like or can grow around them. They were planted to be used as building wood and stop forests cut down. Just replay native trees. They don't like that because pine grows so quick.

The tree being recycled into your yard as a tree house is a great idea. Better than turning it into mulch.
I would create a big „light“ house. Each branch gets lights to illuminate your garden in the night … a nigh cluster of nice little lights … like the Milky Way in the sky
There is a machine that has 4 large blades that opens to encircle tree,closes and go down and cuts the roots,pulls the tree up and out,is carried away. They can plant it somewhere else.
If I had your resources I think I would do what you are doing.
