the green man from pittsburgh is one that was also proven. he was a older man who was horribly disfigured from a power line accident when he was little. he was too scared to go out in public in the day so he’d walk at night and apparently it scared the shit out of locals, but when someone actually had the balls to walk up to him he was apparently one of the sweetest people they’ve ever spoke to
he covered it in the last video
One of my coaches knew him, this is 100% accurate
Yeah its the saddest "horror" legend ever
There was a “fake cop” in Pittsburgh recently pulling people over. I saw him zoom past me with his lights on about a day before he got caught
@@zjjman1 Where at?
Edit: Just looked it up, most recent one I found was March in Bloomfield.
The candy man one is more fucked up because when they were investigating trying to find the killer. So many people had been breaking into other people’s apartments that multiple people had her belongings. So people were stepping over this poor lady’s dead body to steal her stuff
I read that, too. Makes it a really sad story for that poor woman.
The second was pretty disturbing, just imagine enjoying life and taking a nap when you wake up with a corpse under you. Crazy stuff.
It's so scary please
bro its a corpse, it can't even harm or attack you in any way. it's dead.

I am from Mexico. In here there is a really common rumor that if you see a militar wearing sneakers you should run. There has been numerous cases of narcs impersonating as military with full equipment. Specially in states such as “Estado de México”.
Retén "militar" 💀

The Le Loyon one is sad ngl. Fun fact about him though: in multiple eye witness accounts, he was seen picking flowers, so if you seen any fanart of him holding specifically daisies, it’s because of that. I really hope whoever it was is ok now. I ended up reading his note (it’s accessible to the public) and he seemed like a very well adjusted man, just a little odd. I still don’t know the reasons for why he dressed up that way, but he said the walks were therapeutic.
Hey, if I had a gas mask, I'm probably going to wear it for fun. They look cool to
@@agamer4lifeminton298I’ve worn my dad’s police gas mask, and honestly they’re not very comfortable. Cool af, but hot and hard to breathe through oddly enough

Dam these cops suck
@@toaster6701Or maybe they thought this guy was mentally ill
I know that the police impersonator thing is true. A few years ago there was some creep riding around my neighborhood with a fake badge and cop car trying to lure women into his car to assault them. Unfortunately I think he may have managed to get a couple victims but he was thankfully caught fairly soon after.
Ted Bundy had apparently tried this tactic on a woman once, but she had caught on that he wasn’t a cop when he was going to try to handcuff her without giving the proper indication that she was under arrest, or giving any reason to why she was being detained. That was the first thing I thought of when I heard of fake police attacks because imagine being that woman having gone through that and finding out after the fact that you had evaded a serial killer
For real!? That's fckd. Thank God he was caught.
"To know what it felt like to kill" is such a chilling reason but is also kind of understandable. I feel like everyones wondered that at least once in their life but only a few go to the extreme lengths of trying it out. Absolutely chilling that it could be anyone who gives into that temptation.
Immortal temptation took over his mind

I want to add my own urban legend here, where I used to live there is an urban legend about a lake monster that lives near a dam, this creature is known to eat small creatures that venture too close to the water's edge, most people think that the monster is nothing more than a tall tale until. Until one day during a routine checkup of the dam, they discover a giant catfish living at the base of the dam

as someone who used to live in Florida, i can confirm alligators are everywhere. I had one scary encounter where I was late to school, it was raining and near my school there’s a ditch or something, where water would allocate so much inside of there, and many alligators would live there. When i was walking and almost at my school an alligator was standing right near the sidewalk that i was on. I was so fucking scared, i actually screamed and i almost pooped myself.

An urban legend at my old school that turned out to be true was that there was a vicious stray cat under the school hall.
There actually WAS a stray cat under the school hall, and the school had to call animal control to get it extacted. It had snuck in through a loose wooden beam and couldnt get out.
The cat was pregnant and had a litter of kits. The cat and her kits were adopted by a local family and shes been happy since.
nice to hear they all got out fine
I’m definitely an urban legend in some kids mind. When I was 15 I got a new Ghillie Suit so I went to go test it out in the woods. There was a kid about 50 feet away playing near his yard and I was ready to leave and go back so the idea clicked in my head that it would be funny to scare him. I emerged from the leaves in a full ghillie suit, pointed at him and disappeared slowly into the woods. He looked so baffled and brought his mom out pointing to where I was before and it looked like she looked at him like he was nuts.
that was you?!
Dude I live in Bloomington Illinois and when he said that people fake being cops there i started to have trust issues
I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the gas mask guy was a WW3 or apocalypse prepper doing jogs in a gas mask for exercise in his gear to be used to it for the end of the world.

oh god when you talk about the 'alice killings' legend brings back so many childhood memories of me binge listening to a vocaloid "alice of human sacrifice", which is basically about the same legend told in song..up until this point in my life I never knew that there was an actual case similar to the legend until now and it's quite haunting to be thinking about.

I grew up relatively near North Pond, winters get pretty cold there. Snowy, below freezing most nights. It can't have been an easy life.
Fun fact about Clive Barker:I got his autograph for my birthday 2 weeks ago.
Edit:Also true myth, my grandfather and his friends formed a mountaineering league on the island he used to live and fishermen seeing them in their gear and capes thought they were humanoid bears, and caused a bunch of gossip from older women that called them the Mjedo(bear in hrvatski). The league tried to keep up the ruse but one of the members dispelled the rumor. Apparently the fishermen thought they were bears because the two lights on their helmets looked like bear ears.

The tunnels story reminds me of my local true urban legend. The capital of my country (poland) is warsaw, which is the only city in the country with an undergound metro system. However, warsaw is located next to a huge river, which made metro hard to create - digging was a pain because of a wet ground, tunnels collapsed many times before the construction was finnished. Thats why it took (im not sure if im correct) about 3 tries to create the metro tunnels. However, sometimes they nearly ended the work before it collapsed, so under the city, there are a lot of places which are just this hollow corridors with finnished floor and walls, buried under the streets with nearly no way in. The architecture style back then was raw comunnistic simplicity, often seen in liminal spaces art. Obviously, the metro was also built in that style, which makes the corridors look even more ominous. And those corridors aren't small, they are huge connected empty spaces located under the whole city. Those are one of the closest things ive seen to the actual backrooms. The easiest ways in are the holes in the walls which were supposed to be turned into vent systems later, so if you dont keep track of them you might get lost with no way out. You can still find photos in google when looking up "warszawa opuszczone metro". The tunels, even tho they were dug around 70 years ago, were only discovered in 21st century. One of my favorite local true urban legend.
Such an underrated channel , very goated vids and topics 💙

I'm from Czechia and I know about a book series that documates urban legends in Czechia and Slovakia and their roots. The series is called "Černá sanitka" (that means "black ambulance"). The black ambulance story itself is about black ambulance car that appear in streets at nights between 60s-80s, kiddnap kids and young people and sell their body parts on western black market. It was used to scare kids so they'll be at home before sunset.
Honestly the dude who was living in the woods is just lucky he did'nt get shot by someone camping out there and doing that.

The Fake Cop, happened to my mother in the late 80s/ early 90s. She worked the 2 shift at a factory, usually heading home around midnight. It was a 10 mile drive out in the country. She was about halfway out of nowhere She got pulled over. He came up, looked her over and just asked where she was headed. Thankfully her response was she was heading home to her husband and kid. He said ok, handed her back her license and just left. A couple months later a r*****t was caught a county over. She said it was the guy who pulled her over.
Multiple fears unlocked
I have urban legend that's true. The machete man in white fish Montana. He's a friend of my dad who works at a little shop near my grandparents house and the shop gets robbed quite often. one night a car came in the parking lot, and the owner thought it's a rober so he grab 2 machetes for protection and he came to the car and there's 2 people making out and all they saw was a tall dark man with 2 machetes
14:58 just got a amber alert after you said that, that’s crazy
I remember here in Canada I heard a story about a guy who killed dozens of people by just driving around pretending to be a cop
I'm told the fake cop thing happened here in Southampton a few years back. Cyclists are hated here, and someone dressed as a cop to "fine" cyclists for riding on the paths.. only problem was a couple of more experienced riders who, with their club connections had worked with the Police in the past, twigged and challenged the guy, one phoning 999. Said cop walked off. We all wondered how many cyclists he'd "fined". At the time it was £60 if caught doing something wrong by the actual police, so "nice little earner" as we say down here.
There was another case of a fake cop stopping a cyclist for going through a green light, accusing her for "running the red light". Turned out she was a local nurse and stood her ground, he let her go, she reported it to her seniors at the local hospital.
STOP I LIVE IN ILLINOIS WHY DID I HAVE TO WATCH THIS, AT NIGHT *sob*

It’s nice to see a smaller RUclipsrs finding success outside of a few videos that gained traction! Especially nowadays it’s rare to see people who aren’t forced to milk their peak video series. I’m not saying the submechanophobia vids aren’t good, I see a lot of passion being put into it.

The story you told about the couple being confronted by a fake cop is basically the same as the zodiac killer except after seeing the couple he shot them.

I’m from Slovenia and up here in the North there used to be a lot of rumours and stories about a gold mine up here. A few years ago they did actually discover the gold mining tunnel, a small & humble one but it still had traces of equipment and small bits of gold and is presumed to have stopped operating around the early 1800s. So that’s pretty cool I think

Oh, fake cops are scary. We had one in Washington in the town I lived it. His car was even decked out with lights and decals saying “police”. He followed this one person he pulled over to her house. There were like 10 patrol cars when I passed the area it happened in. He never got caught too. He was last seen in nearby county’s but other than that, he kinda disappeared

I really appreciate that you're not just putting reddit comments into a video with no other sources, that's a really ethical move.
my city had someone impersonate a cop a few years ago, he unfortunately did victimize someone. thankfully he was caught very quickly after a car chase. wild the stuff that people will do to feel a little power
When I first heard of the Le Loyon gas mask dude I was scared as hell. Now I have overcome the fear and think he was a sorta wholesome dude, picking up flowers in the forest
Bro the lighthearted break saved me from a heart attack
The Black Ghost would be another example of a true urban legend. All black 1970 Dodge Challenger that dominated street racing in Detroit in the first half of the ‘70s. It would show up out nowhere, goad someone into a race, mop the floor with them, then disappear into the night. And then it disappeared for good, and the stories started; people argued over its existence for decades until it randomly showed up at a local car show in 2016 (?). Turns out the reason no one ever found out whose car it was is because the guy’s day job was as a cop. Badass car and a badass dude.
as for candy man part it is just ridiculous to hear someone say "people coming from my medicine cabinet"
but response time should be as fast as any other call - what if she was havy on drugs and dengerous
law needs to always prepare for the worse and expect nothing
I like how that dead body under the bed one plays as I’m on the bed on a cruise 😐
