Agreed Janab, I started career in private job, and few years after, worked in top worlds multinationals like Boots Pharma, HJ Heinz and Alstom and last 15 years in the top public sector (government) financial institution. Believe me, if I look back, multinational job (this aspect u missed) was the best in terms of learning, environment, training, respect and most importantly financially. And yes Government sector jobs r no more attractive, they are now hiring on contract now a days. No more benefits, no job security, manipulation etc etc in Karachi. In private sector, jobs depend on which group/Seth u r working with. Like I worked with a Dehli wala private Pharma Seth. Who gave us respect to a maximum level. Though we were not working for him but he always in touched, called us for dinner etc. though I left him in 1995 (my first job).

I have switched my job recently couple of months ago in March 2023 as an in house legal counsel and I'm being paid much better which is satisfactory with really good work environment. Joining this new job, I got mentally relaxed but then thoughts for government job preparation started popping up in my mind (which I dreamt of till my college days) as I'm from UP and in UP, very common perspective is that if you are working in private sector then there is no respect regardless the amount of money you're making and you're happy with your life. Consequently I was extremely confused whether I should start preparing for the government sector or should I invest my time in enhancing my skills required for the private sector only which I had already started before I joined here. I took advice from so many of my seniors and friends working in government sector as well but couldn't get the clarity and each alternate day my mind started thinking about investing my time for government jobs preparation as I am 26 and yet I have few years for the same. However one of my seniors and one friend, both working in government sector said same things about the toxic work culture of government sector as Sir explained in his other video and as of now I'm earning more than both of them but still I couldn't convince my mind to stop thinking in that direction because of the perspective that people of my native area have towards government employees. But after watching two videos (one over government jobs and this one) of Amit Sir, I am clear that I have to invest my time and energy in excelling myself for the private sector only making a path to be the Jungle ka Sher one day as Sir said. Thank you very much Sir for these informative videos🙏.
Hi even I'm preparing for judicial services. Really confused about whether to go for a private job or keep doing my preparation! I'm feeling stuck right now. So want to go out and do something productive but also the thought of one last shot and one last attempt is still racing in my head. I'm not liking myself in this situation. Neither I'm completely focused in my studies nor I'm trying for a private job. My situation is way more worse than you 🙈 btw Congratulations to you, there are very less people who are happy with their job and you're one of them. 🙂
@@noush4368 bhai, I can't say much about your situation but I think if you're not liking the situation you're in then try to change it. You must have already covered your syllabus of Judiciary till now and if you're not feeling comfortable only preparing for it then join some job and start making money which will give you mental relief but at the same time devote some time for attempting judiciary as well. This according to me would be a fair approach from now. Best of luck for your future.

Highly Relatable we need to be street smart and unknowingly I was enjoying the Mahabharat/office politics by being Baba Shyam “hypothetically” watching the war but at times you need a switch in character and become a tactical version of Krishna. If our gdp incresed then in both sector pay will increase but it may happen then on private it may increase more but job security is only government as see in IT amazon has laid off 18k l, google 11k, there they will not think about any employee and yes in it you can climb easily around 20 lpa after some exp. The fear in it is after 15-20 year, it will be very hard after this as it need constant change as per market which is not possible after 35 age.
Most laid off people get job within 1 year at similar or slightly lower packages. Agree post 35 is difficult. Best is create assets till 35 as a callback cushion.
He didn't say a word about the massive layoffs in pvt jobs. What will be the future of employees who r facing layoffs ? Will they be again job seekers ? Look at the condition of Indian economy after Covid, no new big investments. Everywhere downsizing and cost cutting.

On point. Gone are those days when people thought of getting a job with medium work pressure, handsome salary to settle in their lives. But now nothing is fixed. Transfer posting, Job security. You never know where you're going to be in the next few years. You may have to change your job or look for other source of income in your mid thirties when you have a full fledged family to take care of. The best thing you can do is never stop learning and working on yourself. And try to invest a large part of your salary on making secondary source of income as early as possible. No job will give you Less work pressure, More salary, Hone posting, No Transfer Posting, Job security all at once. Be it Govt job or Private job. Grass always looks greener on the other side but make sure that at least there is some grass on your side.

The feeling of being a 'nobody ' makes our lives miserable , private employees who make a lot of money and are content with their role and stature in the society are happy but people who are doing decent in private jobs but feel 'nobody ' are the one's who regard govt high in status . You ask a private employee what's their role and they'll spit some random jargon like sde , data analyst , technical analyst and so on , who are they in reality , they are nobody's whereas government officials hold titles that actually mean something and hold a prestige .

Some companies you're working for can lay you off in your 40s or 50s , if you're thinking to retire in them. If you solely depending on those firms , then be aware of this also. That's why government jobs should be preferred.
Govt. Also these days forcibly retire you if you don't work as agile as your youth.... no permanence these days anywhere
Well nothing is permanent in this world.
By the time you turn 50 in corporate, you would have enough money to retire.

Neither I'm completely focused in my studies nor I'm trying for a private job.
He means pvt job is only option now, as govt job is slowly getting extinct..
Yes only 2 options business or private job
He didn't say a word about the massive layoffs in pvt jobs. What will be the future of employees who r facing layoffs ? Will they be again job seekers ? Look at the condition of Indian economy after Covid, no new big investments. Everywhere downsizing and cost cutting.
Its not totally getting extinct but they say its decreasing. Time will tell , private jobs require constant adapting because market needs and trends keep changing. A lot of jobs will change because of AI.

If given a chance I would never choose to Hold a made-up title that only works on 3rd floor of a business park corporate office .

Jai hind Sir,
With due respect i want to state that, there is no growth in government sector.I am seeing many of my friends who have nt clear government exams are doing better than the one who has cleared and join govt jobs..
Besides the benefits of job security is worthless, if the annual package of private sector is double than govt sector, as what the private sector employees earn in 15 yrs, the same earning govt.sector has work for 30 years. And the main charm of govt. Sector PENSION is also scrapped by government.
Further the medical facilities and other facilities like LTC is just to fool the employees,
And once u had join government sector, It's is more difficult to quit the job, than in achieving it, because u realise it very late (10 to 15 years later) that the u had compromised with ur career, and after such long tenure u will have no place in market to prove urself, as many of thinks that govt. employees are inefficient to work in corporate world .
So I agree with u sir,
No aap galat ho itne exam hote hai ki agar aap ek nikal lo to dusra bhi easily nikal jata hai to jo ye mentality hai ki job switch nahi kar sakte wo galat hai kai mere dost jo bank me the wo aaj ssc ki group B post par hai unme se bhi kuch RBI me kuchh Nabard me chale gaye and dusri baat maximum govt. sec me engineering background ke hi hai sabhi apni upar tak koshish karte hai
Itna easy paper hota hai and jo exam dete hai unme 80% faaltu hote hai to koi competition hi nahi hai agar apne 6 month ache se de diya
