  • This Blender tutorial is all about PBR textures and PBR materials in Blender. I'll show you where to download free PBR materials, how to set up material nodes in the Blender node editor, some node wrangler shortcuts and more. In Cycles, PBR materials provide the most realistic renders for Blender. The nodes can be confusing, but I'm going to explain PBR materials in Blender for absolute beginners.

OMG THIS HELPS SO MUCH. I've been thinking UV stood for something related ultra Violet (or some weird alpha channel thing that no one talked about) not simply a U and V coordinate plane.... I feel so dumb, but also so relieved because after a couple weeks of playing around it completely makes sense.

and thats why we need to use the vectors to map the textures around the objects b/c otherwise they're lost in translation. OMFG you're amazing, i've seen like 10 videos that don't explain that simple point.

I'm a newbie to Blender (from Maya, Unreal & Marmoset) so this is really SUPER helpful for me. I really appreciate your videos and your style of explanation. Hi, I'm Adis from Berlin. Started working with Blender 3 months ago. It got me hooked. Ever since I was a kid, I've had an urge to build anything in 3D. Unfortunately, it wasn't that far, 34 years ago. My idea of what I wanted has only now come true. An Amiga 500 can only do some line art. Boring. I got a real stomach ache from your compatriots, they find it funny, for example, to play a video at double speed and chatter like a waterfall. The one wants to teach you how to represent a terrestrial globe with shaders reasonably realistically. He takes a tarpaulin and bends it into a ball, I didn't realize what logic that was. So I decided, as a beginner, to take a ready-made ball. Yes, it runs through all the instructional videos. Well, some actually did it sensibly, but there was always the fact that they forgot a small, important detail. Example. Export material from a project. After repeating, it 30 times strictly as instructed, I got heartburn. Then I realized that they always forget something. In this example, the node only appears in the add menu once you have placed any texture on an object. I then ask myself, am I stupid, how should I know that as a beginner. To you, you're the king, you really must be a teacher or something. Man, how long have I thought about how to organize the shaders like this. So after three months the ice is broken. Already built my own planet shader. Don't ask how you can still climb through this chaos. Now I can finally organize this chaos. I know 9 programming languages. I'm excellent, I took a quick look at the scripting language used to make shaders. It is a joke, I would like to give you a little support. Please give me a PayPal address. Something like, you must be given at least one meal. After 2 months I managed to make my first animation, which can already be seen. But with so much headache. My problem is impatience. Now I'll start learning the basics from you. You can watch my first video. Warm greetings
