This happened because AOE2DE has a DM mode but doesnt have a separate map pool for it, it has the same maps as RM. So they ended playing a DM game in a RM map with a nomad start. Which is stupid.
This makes me think it would be interesting to have a scenario where you start with DM resources and a well built base, but no TC and no vils, so you have to carefully protect your production buildings and houses, lest you permanently lose access to units.
It is like the inca campaign when you just have 3 villagers and no TC with no possibility of building one. You just had your military and a monster. I enjoyed that campaign like no other. I suggest you try it

These vils will infect other vils that get within a specific radius. The key is that you can't see which ones are infected for the first minute, after which they start losing health over time. Your vils can also infect enemy vils. Infected vils can be healed by monks, but they will require constant attendance from monks to stay alive, as there is no cure for the plague. If you feel truly daring, you can make it so that the plague also spreads to military units (excluding siege).

Yes, I confirm it's collected. In fact, whenever vils finish a building, any resource the vils are carrying is collected. You only lost the resources if they are still holding some resource (wood, for example), and they start collecting another resource (for example, gold, or food from a farm that was already built).

why did they not just pull their last villager to the corner and wall in before a TC ? the walls could probably give enough time to defend with champions and build the tc.

Viper's ability to adapt, his game knowledge and micro make him a mindblowing great player

T90 Here's a new suggestion for community games: The Great Plague

I think you lose the wood. Because in water prison, if you click on fish after chopping wood, the vill loses the wood collected.

Is a castle too long to build? Is it not worth it? It procides defence AND population space. Building a vill center next to it is easier.
