YES!!! I am making this one Thursday morning. Company is coming and I had planned on baking a sour cream pound cake topping each piece with strawberries and cool whip. Have you tried this with other fruits?
I don’t know what happened. My batter was very loose and when I poured it over the berries very carefully, the berries started floating. I baked the cake and it was browned beautifully. When I flipped my cake, there were no berries on the bottom at all. The strawberries were juicy when I put them in the bottom of the pan. Were they supposed to be fry or little juice? I have never had a failed cake. Yours came out beautiful and I followed your video to the fullest detail. Any suggestions you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks
The batter shouldn’t have been too loose. That is probably what caused them to float. Any number of reasons could have caused the batter to be loose. Even the weather! I have cakes that don’t always turn out as planned a lot! As long as it tastes good it can just be a fresh strawberry cake! Sorry it didn’t work out as planned but do try it again!
@@thelmahassell22 no they only thickened some. If you use frozen strawberries make sure they are completely thaw as that could make too much liquid. And if you’re using fresh cut back a bit on the sugar so they don’t make too much juice. Hope this helps!!
Thank you very much for sharing this with me💕💕💕💕💕💕

Thank you so much for your response. Did your strawberries have a lot of liquid? I really want to try it again.

@@thebutteredhome one more question. Do you just slice them in half. I couldn’t quite tell in the video.
@@thelmahassell22 I actually slice them completely more than halves.
