    I don't know why I don't just follow your recommendations from the beginning - I made the switch to Sirius arrows with a left helical (fletched myself), Magnus broadheads, bought some Huntworth clothing, and all produced the cliché "why didn't I do this sooner" result. But I have been putting off trying a limb driven rest because it was intimidating (not sure why) and what I had was producing decent results. Then I watched this review and finally went out and bought a Hybrid Hunter.... why didn't I do this sooner? I still have some tuning to do, but definitely a quieter rest and it "feels" like I'm getting better arrow flight. Set up was a breeze thanks to your videos and links for the knots. I only started watching your videos about 18 months ago, but they have been invaluable as I have gotten back in to recreational shooting. You have also been quick to respond to my requests for help. I don't want to be one of those guys, and I'm sure you get this a lot, but if you ever are looking for a place to hunt in NE WI, you're welcome at our camp. It would be the least I could do for all of the help you and your videos have been. Congrats on your Indiana buck!

    i had two Primers on my PSE bows. they are light and quiet, tuned amazing and very reliable! i had the Trinity Hunter but it was noisy, not sure why. it was also pretty heavy compared to the Primer. no issue with the Primers and i just ordered the Epsilon launcher arm to try on the Primer.

      Your search is over. Limb driven is better than cable (I ran QAD for awhile without issue but that was before I started doing my own bow work) because they are easier to set up and tune and you can fix it in the field with no tools. Hamskea is the best but also give limbdriver by Vapor Trail a look.

    I've expressed interest in purchasing a Bowtech SS34 at my local pro shop and I would like to pair it with a Hamskea rest. I was dead set on the Epsilon however, I may try the Primer for this build. My reason being, aside from being a slimmer, lighter rest, I'm hoping that micro adjustments would not be as necessary considering Bowtech's Deadlock.
    I'll cross that bridge when I get there, but the Primer has entered serious consideration for this upcoming build.

    Been using a very inexpensive Trophy Ridge HXL on my primary bow for years. Works great. Like they say: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    Hey Nate Does the primer have the screws underneath the containment cage to adjust the pitch of whale tail like the hybrid hunter pro , trinity & epsilon?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  2 года назад +3

      No, it does not. Another reason why I think the Hybrid Hunter is well worth the $25 upgrade.

  • @deanbrantley
    @deanbrantley 2 года назад

    I’m kinda disappointed in it. I can’t keep the guard on it. I have to take it off to get my center shot set. Or else it hits the riser. After an email to Hamskea I got a response telling me that “yeah prob need to remove it”! Seriously dude, that was the reason I wanted full containment. And it hits the riser

    I ordered one before I learned of the upgrade. It comes tomorrow but the vendor has both and didn't know which one I was sent. Can I tell if I got the newer model without opening packaging? what are the lengths of both mount arms?

    • @wmacky
      @wmacky 2 года назад

      Never mind, I got the old one. I'm sending it back and just ordered the Hunter for 1 dollar less! The primer is still to risky to buy with the old units still floating around out there. Lesson learned.

    I had the same same issue with it hitting my arrow shelf, reached out to hamskea after watching one of you other videos and they basically said bend the launcher arm or trim it down. they didn't offer any other solution.

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  2 года назад +1

      I personally love the spring system and prusik knot I usually use. The rubber dampener requires me to use the football clamp which I am not a fan of at all.

    • @averagejackarchery

      Too stiff. Not enough give like the spring and it causes (for me anyways) the knot to slip over time. My spring-ed Hamskeas don't have any slip to the knots whatsoever.
