Someone once said that calling Israel an apartheid regime only diminishes the atrocities committed by actual apartheid regimes like the Jim Crow South and South Africa. I acknowledge that there are some incidents where Arabs may be getting the raw end of the deal, but they are not enshrined in Israeli law and largely lack official support, unlike in the other cases I mentioned.

Not really, it's rather easy to understand when you understand that the US and the UK will do anything in their power to maintain their profits and maritime commercial empire, and they get many from keeping a pro-westerner colonial ethnostate in the Levant. They spouse no morality, only use it as a tool for propaganda without subscribing any moral values other than the pursuit of profit. They profited from the nazis before their profit was threatened by Hitler expanding beyond what the non-aggression pacts they signed with him established (let's not forget that the US, France and the UK were okay with Hitler taking Czechoslovakia or Austria, but Poland was sacred because it acted as a buffer against the expansion of communism, which was a big threat to profits). Hell, even during the war, American companies kept profiting from selling components for planes and tanks to the Germans, despite banning things as innocuous as Cocacola (which led to the invention of Fanta by the Germans). There is no surprise or disbelief to be had against the atrocities the West commits, covers up or endorses when you realize that their only and utmost concern is the pursue of ever-higher profits, which not only causes genocides like Palestine, Yemen or Congo (we should talk more about Congo), but is also leading us to the ecological collapse of the planet because implementing eco-friendly industry would damage short-term profits. I will be fair in saying while what he says is the truth he doesn't exactly paint all sides equally, for example in his Iraq video he painted a picture of the massive destruction the Iraqi IEDs caused, I think saying at it's peak there was an IED explosion every 5 minutes, however at the end of it all less than 40,000 Americans were killed while more than a million Iraqis perished! What he was saying in that video still was the truth but sometimes not giving a counter-argument presents a false telling of reality.

Personally I see the situation of palastine and israel like an extreme version of the racial divide in the US between whites and everyone else.
Except what really makes this particular problem worse is both sides wage dirty wars and neither is really a victim at this point which is largely why not many feel sorry for palestinians and neither side is able to heal because they keep ripping open each others wounds.

I just don't understand how some members of a group of people (not all Jews!!!) who've gone through genocides, concentration camps, apartheid, horrible violence and other terrible things themselves can now inflict something similar to another group of people. It's truly horrifying to see that Israel is on a very similar path as my second homeland, Germany, was in the 30s, with the exception that Israel has the support of governments of (almost) the entire West and beyond. Seeing the huge numbers of dead children and other non-combatants/innocents in Gaza is really depressing, and it keeps rising and rising each day.

You do the entire Palestinian cause a great disservice by denying that the Jewish peoples have also been historically persecuted. The issue is that European, Christian white supremacists are mostly to blame for the suffering of the Jewish community (see Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union for reference). Zionism was born out of this suffering and weaponised to radicalise Jewish people into supporting the apartheid state that is Israel.
