Picked up this exact model last year for my 60th birthday after years of hoping I could one day afford it. It's every bit as special as I thought it would be. Love it ❤
Got this exact watch as an engagement gift from my, now, wife. It is my first and only luxury watch. I love it. It was such a hard choice between the blue, black, and white dial. Went with white and I think I made the right choice. Thanks for the video, Teddy. Congrats on the new store!
I picked this watch up in white a few years ago and i can attest to the excellence of the rubber strap--it solves some of the "90's aesthetic" issues and looks and feels amazing. It does indeed wear more like a 41. The twisted lugs and case geometry make a huge difference compared to more slab-sidded designs.
@@jimlittle5769I’ve done exactly that. I bought it on the bracelet, but bought the deployment clasp on rubber to wear most of the time. Stupefyingly expensive (£260 for the strap! £260 for the deployment clasp - that’s the same price as my new 250cc motorbike in 1976!) but makes it the most comfortable watch wearing experience I’ve ever had. And you won’t scratch the clasp as the rubber strap is the part that hits the desk first (for all us keyboard divers)…
I think this Great White/Polar is a modern classic for Omega. I've had mine for 2 years, and I'm daily impressed at how interesting the watch is to look at. The only improvement would be to drop 1mm-1.5mm from the height, purely to make the wear on NATO much more comfy.
I have this polar on black rubber and love it. I also bought the 007 nato OEM Omega strap for it. Great vacation/travel/beach watch. Only thing is I feel Omega has an issue lining up the bezel at 12 o'clock, mine is off by like 1mm or so, I know others have experienced the same with their 300M, if you're OCD like me its very annoying lol
My dad got me the grey dialed version as a graduation/birthday gift a few years back and got himself the blue dialed version. Easily my favourite watch and it always reminds me of my dad whenever I put it on!
Just bought my first ever luxury watch. The Railmaster. Looking at the Diver 300 Polar and Globemaster next.... I jumped into the Omega wagon. Loving Omega so far.
“… As well as our flagship boutique in Cleveland, Ohio” I can’t imagine how it must feel to say that in your videos now. Huge congratulations to you and your team.
I bought one of these last year and absolutely love it. I think the styling is iconic, and I would hate to see it change. I don’t get the 90s style criticism; I never hear anyone complain about the never-changing styling of a Rolex Submariner.
But the Submariner has changed. They have updated the oyster bracelet many times, changed the bezel material, and kept the slim profile. The Seamaster has none of that and is still stuck in the 90s.
Purchased my first luxury watch a week ago and I went with the Diver 300 but in Green. Absolutely stunning. Love every bit of it. I’m amazed that it looks grey in the shade but a money green in the sun all while the hour markers gleaming with a rainbow reflection. So happy with it. And on top of that, the Omega boutique in San Diego treated me with absolute class. They made feel special and accomplished for buying my watch- they even served my friends and I tequila and whisky shots to celebrate my milestone. Love Omega.
I went diving with this watch recently. At 30ft down, the white dial shines, pops like crazy under water. It was as interesting to look at as the eagle Ray and turtles swimming by. I showed everyone diving with me and they agreed it looked so cool under water. Also, the bezel moves really smoothly when under water, but hard to turn when dry. A true dive watch.
My wife bought this same watch for me when we went scuba diving in Mexico. You are right about the bezel action. I'm proud to say that it is NOT a desk diver lol! I also have the the seamaster 300 Spetcre 007 model. Love them both!
Thank you! I had not realised that Omega made a watch with a sandwich dial and no date window. I dislike date windows because I never use them and I've admired the Panerai sandwich dial for years so this Omega 300 Heritage in blue looks perfect to me. It is definitely the watch that I've been looking for.
I've had my Great White for a couple of years now, I wear it every day. It replaces/compliments my 2012 41mm SMP300 quartz movement in black. Love the Seamaster family, I tried on the Super Ocean Heritage from Breitling when I purchased the Great White and it just didn't feel right. Something about the Seamasters, can't wait for the next innovation. Greets from the UK.
Congrats on the brick and mortar Teddy! I owned the black dial version, but sold it last year as it was too blingy for my taste. Been leaning towards picking up the Polar dial on rubber as the white dial hides the metallic waves a bit more. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet as I have heard rumors of the SMP 300m getting redesigned this year. Have you heard anything regarding this?
I did the exact opposite, only because the black dresses up better. However, I must say I miss the white dial and have regret selling. Should've kept both. The white is easier to see -- stands out much better.
I bought this Great White in a recent trip to Japan. It's amazing value for the specs that you are getting (compared to a Submariner). Am absolutely in love ❤ with this beauty 😊
Got my Seamaster 300 in 1999 steel & gold with the white dial- still one of my favorites. Also have my grandfather’s 18K Omega Seamaster from the 1950’s. Still fully operational - had it serviced by RGM
Just bought this watch today at your new boutique in Cleveland! As someone who has been watching your videos for a long time and being in Cleveland, it was great to stop by the new store in person. One of my grail watches and happy to support this channel! Thanks Teddy
I do not understand why they cannot offer a standard production no date version. They have it in the new Bond LE; just give us a non-limited no date version. Why is this so hard?
The lume is bright as a torch once it is activated with UV light but it doesn't last, to the point of being useless in dark situations. There isn't enough lume in the hands due to the skeletonized design and the SL C3 applied to the minute hand fades very, very quickly. This has been the main disappointment to me as owner of this watch. Jody from Just One More Watch called this issue correctly, and I wish other reviewers like Teddy stopped misrepresenting this important deficiency of the lume on this Seamaster.
Absolutely spot on! The fact that hour and minutes hands are skeletonized does not make it any better. Would prefer sword hands like they had it on the Amercia's Cup or arrow hands liek the Planet Ocean. Found the lume on my Tudor and Longines being better than the SMP 300.
This was the first luxury watch I purchased back in 2020. 4 years on my watch collecting journey, I have a Starbucks, Laureato, and a Bond Seamaster (the version Pierce Brosnan wore in his movies).
I have the other Polar Seamaster (Great White GMT) without the helium escape valve. While it is a great watch, I wish Omega would produce a modern interpretation of it.
I just bought one and I love it. The dial is even better in person. I wasn’t sure I would like the bracelet but after wearing it for a couple of hours I really like it. It is much less shiny than in the photos. I bought it at a boutique and the experience was great. It is a beautiful looking and awesome watch. If you are considering purchasing one, you will not be disappointed. I don’t want to take it off.
I purchased the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300 "Polar" last fall for my 70th birthday. I was looking at the Tudor Pelagos and white face GMT but once seen side by side the Omega was a no brainer! It is in rotation with my Rolex Explorer II, Longines HYDROCONQEST and my Tag Heuer chronograph. The Omega spends the most time on my wrist and I have received many compliments. I would recommend to anyone looking to invest in a good value for the money watch. Now just deciding how to justify the rubber strap...
This was my first adult watch. I really didn't jive with the bracelet but after switching to the rubber strap, it's my go to watch. Great Video Teddy! I want to visit the shop in Cleveland!
Been on my Radar for Few years Now, Tried it on At Teddy’s Store back in May, Havnt been able to get it out of Mind. TOMORROW is Big Day! I’m 66 and I feel like a Kid the night before Christmas LOL. Very excited this purchase, the polar with the Black Bezal just is Stunning. Thank you Jon, can’t wait to put on wrist. 😊
I purchased the 'Great White' SMP300M some years ago and I still love it. The photos and videos do not do this (or the other dial colourways) watch justice. Go and see one in the flesh and you may be surprised just how good it looks. The weakest point and I'm being picky here in my humble opinion is the bezel action, it's not at all bad and is totally reliable and functional but it's not on the same level as the sublime feel of the Submariner bezel but what other bezels are?. Thanks for sharing.
Owned this watch. It was never accurate despite sending to Omega three separate times. When setting, the minute hand never hit its next minute index if the crown was pulled with the second hand at 12 o’clock. Ever. Meaning: with each full sweep of the second hand, the minute hand never met the next index precisely. It was always way ahead or behind. Its sad because as I watch this video, I wish I still had it but it was so frustrating knowing its performance was so poor.
Too bad. It could be the luck of the draw unfortunately as it has happened to me twice with other brands over the years. However, I have owned this watch for over six months and it has been rock on accurate at about 1 sec fast per day and with hand alignment almost perfect. I have more expensive watches but this one gets the most wear due to its durability, the size and its high quality movement. This watch outperforms other dive watches much more expensive. Now on the other end I have owned a Sinn U1 for over seven years. It’s not as nice looking as the Omega but has not one scratch on it due to its Tegamented submarine steel. It has a basic ETA movement but it’s still fairly accurate ( without any service) and almost half the price of the Omega. It’s the one I wear to the gym. Why, I guess it’s looks rugged and looks cool on my wrist. Ego maybe? 😂
I only have one nitpick and its a deal breaker for me. I HATE the 25200/3.5Hz beat rate. It smacks of laziness that they resorted to "dumbing" down the movement to increase the power reserve hrs. Omega apologists will say all the usual retorts about how you cant tell the diff between 4Hz to 3.5Hz, & it's actually less wear on the gears and whatnot. For $8000 Cad, I shouldn't have to compromise this one thing. Gimme back the 28,800 and 48hours of power reserve vs 55hours at 25200. Other than that, this watch is killer and a solid 9 out of 10 (Taper that bracelet Omega!)
@@SIZZO76Then why did they change it? The bracelet on my 1997 model is vastly different to the one I bought in 2019. So if it’s so iconic, why is it now different? You don’t change icons, you improve them. Omega however, have made the bracelet less iconic through a ridiculously large clasp and a flatter, thicker bracelet. It’s no longer iconic.
I was just shopping watches 2 days ago and was shocked by how good this watch (specifically this color) looks in person. This may be a sign to go for this one!
Listening to Teddy speak reminds me of writing essays in grade school. He’s just reading a spec sheet and the rest feels like he needed to hit a word count limit. On the topic of unnecessary embellishments, this watch has way too many details. How one can classify any part of the design as “clean” is beyond me. From the toothpaste cap helium escape valve, the ugly non tapering bracelet with more links than a medieval knight, to the dual colored lume on the comically large hands - everything feels over the top. One could argue it’s the most insecure design ever, perhaps in response to another well known dive watch, where the team threw every bell and whistle they could come up with just to be noticed. The Bond association was always gratuitous product placement and adds absolutely zero merit, unlike the Speedmaster, which while also milking its lore to death, at least did make it to the moon. Teddy, please stick to what you know: mid tier boutique brands for the Cleveland market that actually fit your wrist.
I have been an OMEGA fanboy for several years now, first the black ceramic speedmaster, then the 300 pro polar. So much of a value prop. Not had any issues with either of them. I definitely recommend the rubber strap, while doing laps it just pops in the water. You know you are in good company when you meet someone else sporting the line. No regrets whatsoever, It will pass down to an heir.... Teddy congratulations on your opening in Clevland, Ohio.
I decided to buy the Green "Seaweed" SMP300 about 7 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I've cycled through a lot of different watches from different brands over a quite short time, but the Seaweed honeymoon phase doesn't seem to come to an end. The longest honeymoon phase with any watch I've ever experienced tbh. It was a great purchase and I love wearing it while doing literally anything.
I also have this same watch, along with a number of others that are more recognizable and eye candy. This watch is the best tool watch. I put a black rubber band on it and use it for tennis, golf and running around places where I might otherwise get robbed. Great watch for sure.
Who would have thought we'd see Omega 'reviews' once Teddy opened his shop selling Omega. This is still 10% too big for the average buyer... good for the bigger boned.
Exciting for Omega to appear on the channel- and to me the diver 300m (in black or white dial) is the ultimate everyday watch. Maybe my favorite all-things-considered all around watch.
it might be ugly, but it’s your opinion. others like it and they even think it’s comfy. both opinions aren’t valid here but a fact is: it’s extremely well made!
I want a Rolex but I've been waiting for almost 2 years for a call from my AD. I also like this specific Omega but I don't know if I should continue waiting or just get the Omega.
Beautiful watch . If i start (in my dreams) my six watches collection i cannot buy the Speedmaster, the seamaster DIVE 300 and the Aqua terra world timer . I will forget the speedmaster and trie to find a CHRONOGRAPH from TAG HEUER, JLC or ZENITH ????
This is the exact model that i bought a year ago after years of deliberation and it is now my ONLY watch. It’s a fine point for me but I absolutely appreciate that Omega uses a domed crystal - purely an aesthetic thing but I greatly appreciate a watch company not using a flat crystal, no matter how much AR coating.
It's a beauty. I haven't gotten it cause I have the blue version and I also have the Polar Exp II, so there really isn't a place for it in my collection, but still....beautiful watch!
@@johnpeters4268 I love it! It was my most worn watch of 2023. I wore it more than my Seamaster 300M (2nd most worn) and my Pepsi (3rd most worn) combined. For me, it's the perfect watch.
I like these watches but I hate the bracelets and I don't typically like to buy a watch only on a rubber bracelet. I normally buy the bracelet version and then also buy an aftermarket rubber strap. The bracelet on the Omegas is not well made, in my opinion, and I hate that it doesn't taper. That's really the only issue that prevents me from buying one of these as other than the bracelet, I think they are great watches.
The omega seamaster line is so good at such a reasonable price that it has set the bar for me. The likes of panerai, IWC, hublot, breitling (with a few exceptions) all seem overpriced compared to omega.
Beautiful watches,...but I am not a fan of the 'wavy' motif dial or the escape valve. If I was investing in an Omega,...I would lean toward an Aqua Terra. That said, I went with the Grand Seiko SLGA023 "Ushio" for my luxury diver.
Hey Teddy! I couldn’t agree more. I drank the kool aid when this watch was a RUclips craze several years ago, and I couldn’t be happier. Seriously. It’s pretty much my everyday watch. It’s tough as nails but still handsome enough to suit most occasions. And that OEM rubber strap is great, although to mix things up I put it on a Hirsch brown hybrid, and the look is killer.
Clear this up for me. In Europe and at the Omega boutiques, they pronounce it with a long ee as in O-mee'-ga. Which is correct and are we just American'izing it?
I really want to love this watch, but the size, thickness, bracelet, and clasp size have killed it for me. The rubber strap is very good, but I really expect a deployment clasp and not a pin buckle at this price range. The deployment clasp is another 500 dollars which is absurd. I'd also expect a higher beat rate or power reserve given the movement they're using. If Omega updates it I would seriously consider picking one up. The wave dial, HEV, scalloped bezel, and sword hands are all great.
They had to drop the beat rate to 25,200 on the coaxials for reliability, as George Daniel originally developed it. Omega is in bed with coaxial, may never change
@@SIZZO76 I like Omega more than Tudor for the most part. But Tudor has been doing some cool stuff lately too. So, one cannot be a fan of Omega while still recognizing when one of their watches could use some improvements? I’m not following your logic here. Tudor is on par with Omega but only because Omega hasn’t been doing anything exciting lately. They will make a come back and they are still my preferred brand.
I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.

If the SMP had a tapered bracelet, it would be so much better. HAve one now but want the polar but not a fan of rubber straps
Bracelet is Iconic
Please Omega work on that bracelet! PLEASE!
Bracelet is perfect. It is iconic.
Personally I love the bracelet. But I do see how it looks in a way outdated in design but I feel it gives the seamaster a classic feel to it
Uncle straps makes several replacements, highly recommend checking them out if you want this watch but can't stand the dogwater bracelet
@@IrishScribbler YOUR OPINION 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Way too BIG omega!!!! Reduce the size goodness sake. 39mm…it’s where it is now. 40mm maximum!!!
I couldn’t afford a Rolex so I got this watch. Awesome watch.
I was just shopping watches 2 days ago and was shocked by how good this watch (specifically this color) looks in person. This may be a sign to go for this one!
You won’t be disappointed my friend ☺️

I call this Seamaster white face and black bezel “Great White”
Very helpful video. About to pick one up second hand.
Hey Teddy, can you recommend some modern dress, no date, time only watches?
I decided to buy the Green "Seaweed" SMP300 about 7 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I've cycled through a lot of different watches from different brands over a quite short time, but the Seaweed honeymoon phase doesn't seem to come to an end. The longest honeymoon phase with any watch I've ever experienced tbh. It was a great purchase and I love wearing it while doing literally anything.
Yes, it can be pronounced "Oh-MEG-uh," but the preferred pronunciation is "Oh-MAY-guh."
In my fleet , been my summer go to watch
I do love this model in white or green. And the rubber straps. Beautiful things.
Have it, love it. Belongs on rubber!
Is no one going to talk about the price hike of omega and how much they are emphasising on profit these days ?
Exciting for Omega to appear on the channel- and to me the diver 300m (in black or white dial) is the ultimate everyday watch. Maybe my favorite all-things-considered all around watch.
calling this bracelet "best" in its class, is madness. That bracelet is ugly. Feels like 1999.
it might be ugly, but it’s your opinion. others like it and they even think it’s comfy. both opinions aren’t valid here but a fact is: it’s extremely well made!
@@SirMopyI agree.
@@SirMopybracelet is shit mate, and that is most people’s opinion lol the old timers 45 plus disagree
Got it and love it. 👍
The bracelet gives a tiny bit too much 90s vibes
I want a Rolex but I've been waiting for almost 2 years for a call from my AD. I also like this specific Omega but I don't know if I should continue waiting or just get the Omega.
Get the omega if you love it ✌🏻
Beautiful watch . If i start (in my dreams) my six watches collection i cannot buy the Speedmaster, the seamaster DIVE 300 and the Aqua terra world timer . I will forget the speedmaster and trie to find a CHRONOGRAPH from TAG HEUER, JLC or ZENITH ????
the bracelet is fugly
Bracelet is iconic
@@SIZZO76Iconic is a stretch loll bracelet is 💩
This is the exact model that i bought a year ago after years of deliberation and it is now my ONLY watch.
It’s a fine point for me but I absolutely appreciate that Omega uses a domed crystal - purely an aesthetic thing but I greatly appreciate a watch company not using a flat crystal, no matter how much AR coating.
Gorgeous and Iconic Timepiece 🔥
It's a beauty. I haven't gotten it cause I have the blue version and I also have the Polar Exp II, so there really isn't a place for it in my collection, but still....beautiful watch!
What are your thoughts on the polar? I'm on the fence on whether to get the 226570 next.
@@johnpeters4268 I love it! It was my most worn watch of 2023. I wore it more than my Seamaster 300M (2nd most worn) and my Pepsi (3rd most worn) combined. For me, it's the perfect watch.
@@jimlittle5769 that’s a great 3 watch collection! Thanks for the reply 👌
This is by far my favorite watch…it’s just too big for my 6.25’ wrist. Makes me sad
Love mine- traded my Rolex Submariner in for it partly because that is the most copied watch around.
Iconic watch
I have this with a blue dial and I replaced the rubber strap with the mesh bracelet
I'll see your polar dial and raise you a Tokyo Olympics SMP. The blue bezel and white dial is a killer and should be a normal rotation IMO.
SEAMASTER IS A GOAT WATCH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Gorgeous and ICONIC 🔥
Clear this up for me. In Europe and at the Omega boutiques, they pronounce it with a long ee as in O-mee'-ga. Which is correct and are we just American'izing it?
I have this watch and love it!!!
Gorgeous and ICONIC 🔥🔥🔥
SEAMASTER is awesome
This model is so cool and unique. Nothing on the market looks like this piece and love the whole 90s vibe! First class for sure!
