I love how initially all the other dogs have no expression in their eyes, and after the little dog gets the nervous harness their eyes look like hers. It seems like because she was so scared, the little dog didn't really see the others as potential friends and just saw them as a source of anxiety. After they knew to treat her more calmly, she was able to open up a bit. Really cute!
When you go to dog shows that’s how it starts, but as you see the same dogs over and over and make friends, you start to see the expression in their eyes. I have this French bulldog named splash, she’s black brindle and has a nice jaw and longer nose so she can breathe easy, and I never see her mouth open when she’s excited, I see her eyes focus on me and it’s cute, they’re like the mirror puppy eyes you see in cartoons and that’s why she’s the cutest dog I have at my house.

1:53 literally cried at this part just because it’s so sweet. It shows the dogs willing to have patience so the others aren’t afraid. I’m really glad this was made. ❤❤
This is really sweet. I love that the biggest and most intimidating looking dog there was actually also a nervous dog and recognized exactly how the newcomer was feeling.
As someone who actually works in a dog grooming shop, bigger dogs are mostly giant babies! You would think a Great Dane would be less nervous with it's size, but they're actually quite nervous dogs!
I can confirm, I have a huge dog and whenever he goes to the park and a horde of dogs start sniffing him, he froze in fear, He's grown more comfortable with other dogs but it will still happen every now and then
When i told my son he should go play with the neighbor kids in his new home (When me and my wife split, it was friendly, we let the the kids choose, they chose to go with her, because, in their words, she needs them more, which is true) he had the normal high functioning autism reaction of fear. Now he has a new friend who picked up on his anxiety, realized he has autism, and has dutifully taken the Extrovert Job of adopting my little introvert, and taking him everywhere with her, while being mindful of his anxiety levels. kids are either fantastic, or nightmares, they dont seem to have any settings inbetween...
Imagine getting a dog because of your social anxiety, and then the dog has social anxiety too, so now it’s just you and your social anxiety buddy trying to get through life together.
I know there's the human implications of social anxiety in this video, but I also work at a doggy daycare and this video is incredibly accurate in that sense too lmao
My dog would be the nervous ass one and yes she would LITERALLY RUN AWAY and high tail it from the other dogs. It's bcz she was never introduced to other dogs in a good way at a young age she's a rescue and anytime she sees my family members dogs shakes like a leaf and tries to run from them Even if the other said dog JUST wants to sniff them, not play not bark just sniff.
A detail I love about this is that when the big dog realizes that he's nervous he lays down so that the nervous dog is higher than the big dog meaning that he feels more in control and less intimidated. The details are perfect and the animation is so natural!
Fun fact, dogs this is actually documented dog behavior! If they can tell another dog is nervous or if the dog trying to play with is significantly smaller than them, they'll often play by laying down and rolling/using their paws! My brothers pit mix is larger than my little runt pittie, so she lays down and tugs with mine or they "wrestle"
This is such a great animation. Most movie shorts dealing with anxiety or social awkwardness have the unrealistic message of "IT'S EASY TO CHANGE WHO YOU ARE WITH THE HELP OF FRIENDSHIP!" This short is a refreshing and realistic message about how it's okay to be Nervous and you can still make friends.
this has more of a "its easy to change who you are to make people with anxiety more comfy" vibe which is much more pleasant than the usual "anxiety? just get over it my guy"
love how in the beginning the dogs eyes are soulless and scary, but after the dog realized that he was fine, the dogs eyes had life/joy in them! Such cute animation, even after 2 years it holds up.
How do you people not realize that the dog understanding the vest is exactly the point? The dogs realize they have anxiety and be gentler, whereas a lot of people don't even believe in anxiety being an ongoing mental health issue, some people don't even believe in mental health in general.
Even if it was just a coincidence, I appreciate the choice of a greyhound as the nervous ally. Because we all know there’s already a very famous nervous boi.
I work at a dog daycare, and this is like the most accurate animated representation of how careful we treat our clients who are anxious, overstimulated, and don't want to be there

0:36-0:44 I LOVE the detail of how the big dog (who’s also Nervous) occupied the corner of the room before the little one bumped into them. It shows that not only will the other dogs be gentler with those with yellow vests, but also allow them their own spaces to just hang (especially since corners are the best places to feel secure)!

Love this short so much. As an owner of an anxious dog that doesn’t like to socialize with a bunch of dogs at once it’s very relatable. I love the style and shapes of all the dogs and how expressive they are!
The funniest part is that looks almost exactly like my dog and she's is afraid of literally everything. She'll go to the door wanting to go outside, then run away in fear when you open the door.
i feel like this really shows how some people feel in social situations, and that some people don’t want to be around people all the time and that they can get nervous. and also this arty is impeccable, like omg this is amazayn!
I just really love how the one dog gives him the little nervous jacket and the other dogs *get* it and adjust how they interact to make the dog comfortable. It's just so sweet
I don’t know if this was supposed to represent what it feels like to have social anxiety, but this genuinely makes me feel seen and like I am normal and okay.
I'm not crying, you're crying! But seriously, this is... simply gorgeous, and adorable. If only I could have a little yellow vest when I was having anxiety that people could see and understand :)
Ace q I can understand you well. I would also like something like that. (On the other hand, I have special headphones that are unfortunately / or fortunately noticeable. (some make fun of my construction worker headphones, but I can't stand loud noises well)
i have a pass to leave class with if it gets too loud, though it’s sad that it literally has to be spelled out or shown to people for them to understand, but when that is done it gets made fun if or makes the person more overwhelmed :(
AHHH this is the cutest thing I've seen today! Fantastic film! Love the use of that instrument (ahhh idk what it's called) as a way to associate it to the feelings of the dog. Very effective. Also those wide, bulging eyes. Iconic. Great job! This is truly incredible!

I think this video is how I realized I had social anxiety. Like I realized that I related to it, almost a bit too much? A few days later I did a deep dive into social anxiety, and I realized that social anxiety has been affecting me for the majority of my life. Like originally I would just brush it off as "oh that's just a normal introvert thing," but really I think this video has helped me realize that every social interaction feeling like a hostage negotiation is not just a normal introvert thing.
I don’t remember exactly which one, but there was once an even that offered little rubber bracelets in different colors. They each meant different things about the wearer and their comfort level. One of the bracelets indicated “please leave me be.” It was a great idea imo, I’d like to see it used more often,

The yellow vests are provided by the use of reason of anyone with enough intellectual resources to notice the signals of who has social anxiety and who doesn't. The problem is that, nowadays, there are more apathetic people with no intellectual resources than empathic ones.

hope you're doing good! I also have some aspects of anxiety, I wouldn't say I'm anxious 100% the time it completely depends on the situation I'm facing and I'm still learning to understand myself (I'm confortable talking in class and in front of lots of people but I'm uncomfortable talking to a group of people when I don't have something specific I need to tell them.. it's hard), but yeah, I've learned that people won't understand unless you communicate with them. The Barbarians card is unlocked from the Barbarian Bowl (Arena 3). It spawns five single-target, melee Barbarians with moderate hitpoints and damage. They wield short swords and have blonde hair and moustaches. They are the same as those spawned by the Barbarian Hut, Battle Ram, and the Barbarian Barrel. A Barbarians card costs 5 Elixir to deploy. Strategy The Barbarians are a great option to use against enemy troops such as tanks and medium size pushes as the Barbarians have a moderate amount of hitpoints and damage, and are perfect for attacks with other tanks. Although they are very effective against single target troops like the Prince, Barbarians are susceptible to spells and troops which do area damage due to their slow move-speed. Their slow attack speed also leaves them vulnerable to swarms such as the Skeleton Army. Despite being a swarm unit, Barbarians are fairly effective against an Electro Giant due to their high DPS and their moderately higher hitpoints compared to other swarm units, allowing them to survive the Electro Giant's reflected damage and defeat him for a +3 Elixir trade, but they will likely die in the process or have an insignificant amount of remaining health. Note that since the Barbarians will have little health remaining, any sort of damage dealt to them besides the Electro Giant's reflected damage will often nullify their defense, so the player should account for supporting troops or accompanying the Electro Giant as well. Due to the amount of counters to a Barbarian and most resulting in a positive Elixir trade for the opponent, it is ineffective to deploy a group of Barbarians without support in one lane, as they can be easily countered due to their slow speed and can leave the player vulnerable to a push in the other lane. However, if the opponent is extremely low on Elixir, or their best counters are out of rotation, they can be very effective at forcing the opponent to spend Elixir poorly, as they can quickly chop down cheap troops and will completelv destrov a Crown Tower by themselves. They are excellent for taking out low numbers of enemy troops such as the Prince or Musketeer on the player's side. The 5 Barbarians will quickly eliminate the unit if they are dropped directly on top of it, surrounding it. The Barbarians can be effectively countered by most ranged splash troops such as the Bomber and Wizard from a distance. However, you must be careful as the opponent can use a Tornado or Freeze to immobilize or destroy the splash attacker, allowing the Barbarians to devastate the Crown Tower. A powerful counter is the Fireball; the damage and radius of the spell is more than enough to one-shot the Barbarians. However, keep in mind that if the Fireball is underleveled, or if the Barbarians are overleveled, it will not one-shot them. Additionally, the Barbarians can also act as a bait for these counters, allowing you to use other cards that would be weak to Fireball, such as Zappies. Poison can also be an effective counter to use. Its damage over time will eliminate the Barbarians and any supporting troops. However, as with Fireball, it will not defeat Barbarians with a level higher than the Poison. A Rocket can also defeat them, however it is a negative Elixir trade. It is best to be used if the Barbarians are assisted with another card Rage used with Barbarians can do severe damage to a Crown Tower, as it is hard to stop because Rage increases movement and attack speed. The Barbarians together have high damage and can make short work of a tower before the opponent stops them. They are very effective at defeating enemy tanks due to their numbers (5 of them), high combined damage, and ability to tank most spells. Support troops will have trouble defeating them due to their combined hitpoints. If the combo happens to be any ground-based splash damage card + ground- based melee tank, wait for the troops to cross the river. As soon as they cross, immediately drop the Barbarians upon the splash card. They will surround and destroy it quickly before moving on to eliminate the now unsupported tank. This can result in a large positive elixir trade. However, if there is more than one splash unit, the Barbarians are likely to be taken out immediately. Note that this may be ineffective against a P.E.K.K.A. as she can one-shot Barbarians up to 2 levels higher. They are very effective against Hog Riders and Ram Riders. Not only do they deal a lot of damage to these troops, but their high mass and slight spread forces the Hog Rider and Ram Rider to go around them, extending their distance from the Princess Tower. Because of this, the Barbarians can easily defeat these units with no damage to the Princess Tower. The Barbarians, if placed early enough, can surround the Princess Tower, making it less vulnerable to attacks from a Goblin Barrel. They can handle it quite well with only minimal damage done. However, this is a 5 Elixir investment so consider using it if you lack better counters. Splitting the Barbarians in the back can discourage the opponent from attacking either Princess Tower, due to the Barbarians' defensive presence, and spells will not have as much value. However, they are slow moving and as such, the opponent might deal some unnecessary damage before the Barbarians arrive on their target. Due to beina 5 of them, thev can act as a Lightning rod for more fragile units like a Magic Archer or a Flying Machine. 2 of them will also survive for extra protection for the guarded fragile units. Watching this reminded me of something I heard not that long ago, “Everyone says that introverts need to come out of their shell more but never say that extroverts need to calm down so introverts can feel comfortable enough to come out.”
I’m in tears after watching this. As someone who has multiple disabilities and who was diagnosed late with autism this makes so much sense. If I was diagnosed younger I wouldn’t have been forced to attend school and function as a neurotypical, which caused a lot of trauma. And so many doctors don’t think labels are important, but for people like me especially, they are very important as they can dictate how friends, authority figures, and doctors interact with someone. This really hit home with me, thank you so much for making this
Yooo late diagnosis squad! The idea that I might have autism didn't even come up until I hit college. How late was it for you? (I didn't initially talk a lot when I was a tot, but my parents weren't concerned enough to have me tested since I was also hiding behind my two older sisters and using them to communicate until I suddenly became a chatterbox) I think the counselor who helped me get the diagnosis said that the "spectrum" is seen differently now compared to decades ago. It was probably a case of me just barely squeezing in once the classification was open enough.
@@birdlythebirdkid5208 I was 11! Idk why no one picked it up earlier, I was having severe meltdowns since 3 or earlier, but no doctors would listen and kept telling my mum it was bad parenting which was a load of crap obviously. I think it was also delayed because especially back when I was a kid a lot of assigned male at birth folks would be much easier diagnosed than assigned female at birth folks like me (I’m transgender and have fully transitioned to male now) because autism presents differently in males vs females sex. I think there’s a lot more awareness now but unfortunately when I was a kid all this was still very misunderstood
@@floofyworld I was diagnosed with adhd back in middle school, so I think a lot of my issues were just seen as symptoms of that. I made it through school, at least. But yeah... autism was only considered by the time I was hitting 20.

As someone with severe social anxiety, this short film really resonates with me. To me, the meaning was that instead of hiding your anxiety, you should share it with others. Don’t be afraid to label yourself with an anxiety disorder for fear of the stigma around it. Instead, own it and the people that understand will be attracted to your honesty. In my case, my anxiety makes me seem like I’m being rude in public (I have a service dog that I have to tell people they can’t pet), but deep down I hope they know I’m doing my best. ❤

As the proud brother of a dog with severe anxiety I couldn't agree more, he's just like this with other dogs too, we tried bringing him to the dog park one day and oh man.. He didn't like it one bit. Which was odd at first, because we socialized him plenty as a puppy! He just gets so nervous and hides behind us, doesn't let them near his butt. He's a people dog for sure, severe social anxiety. He loves my mom the most, she pretty much calls him her fluffy son which is why I tend to call myself his brother, he has severe separation anxiety when it comes to her and seeing the poor thing lay there and shake just breaks my heart. Dogs are capable of human emotion, so are cats! My cat Raichu freaks out when I'm not with him
Poor dog just wanted to get out but it ended wholesomely with that giant dog spreading awareness that he was NERVOUS and the dogs helped comfort him. So sweet.

When this happens to me I have no eye contact O:

When i told my son he should go play with the neighbor kids in his new home (When me and my wife split, it was friendly, we let the the kids choose, they chose to go with her, because, in their words, she needs them more, which is true) he had the normal high functioning autism reaction of fear.
Now he has a new friend who picked up on his anxiety, realized he has autism, and has dutifully taken the Extrovert Job of adopting my little introvert, and taking him everywhere with her, while being mindful of his anxiety levels.
kids are either fantastic, or nightmares, they dont seem to have any settings inbetween...

The details are perfect and the animation is so natural!
Fun fact, dogs this is actually documented dog behavior!

However, if the opponent is extremely low on Elixir, or their best counters are out of rotation, they can be very effective at forcing the opponent to spend Elixir poorly, as they can quickly chop down cheap troops and will completelv destrov a Crown Tower by
themselves. Strategy They are very effective against Hog Riders and Ram Riders. However, this is a 5 Flixir investment so consider usina it if Elixir investment so consider using it if you lack better counters. Due to being 5 of them, they can act as a Lightning rod for more fragile units like a Magic Archer or a Flying Machine.

(I didn't initially talk a lot when I was a tot, but my parents weren't concerned enough to have me tested since I was also hiding behind my two older sisters and using them to communicate until I suddenly became a chatterbox)
I think the counselor who helped me get the diagnosis said that the "spectrum" is seen differently now compared to decades ago.
I was even put in one of the higher math classes in 6th grade because brain do math gud, but then I went absolutely insane for the rest of my school life.
But yeah... autism was only considered by the time I was hitting 20.
dude.. whoa, i was about to comment the exact same thing. the EXACT same thing?! Also in tears rn :') glad we got that diagnosis :)
finaly somebody who agrees with me
This is beautiful. noT only does it show what having anxiety is like, but it shows how other people and creatures can relate. And how if you open up a little, and show others that you are nervous, the will back off a bit.
I can't stop watching this. It's so fun picking out the small details you didn't see on previous watch-thrus and it's honestly kinda a bop
this perfectly captures how little dogs eyes look when they're nervous it's very cute

i almost started crying watching this because the nervous dog looked almost exactly like my dog who i had to watch earlier this year painfully pass away.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy, friend. They're in a better place now, I'm sure of it.
Sorry to hear that, hope you are recovering
I'm so sorry to hear that.one of mine ran away and another died.your not alone me and others feel how it feels.we have a new dog now he is smart and cute.when I adore fly left the gate open all day when I was at school.when we got home we saw the gate open and my dad said I think he's gone...and I cried and then his but head lol at us and my dad said he's here! I got so happy and gave him so much love and treats.moral of the story dont be dumb like me and love your pets as much as you can!
As someone who has been through social anxiety, I LOVE this and how no one is being mean or malicious! It's just a miscommunication that can be helped when a helping hand is given :3
0:57 HE WAS A FAIRY 🧚♂️ ✨
I love how expressive your characters can get, and your leaning into shape language? Wonderful. I genuinely enjoyed this short. Fantastic work.
You're doing your best! We're proud of you 😁
Same I have a lot of anxiety I try to hide and I know I shouldn’t but sometimes it’s hard but over the years I’ve learned that sometimes it okay to share things
nah, just hide it! if you're in my area, you'd be labeled as the devil's child or the worst sin to ever exist if you have social anxiety, and here i am now labeled as a crazy lucifer grandson
@@parlsukthat’s epic as shit my dude :0 i live in a right-heavy area where people don’t believe autism is a thing; they think mental health is a “load of crap” but never something as cool as demon status >:D
that’s how I feel having autism; my overstimulation looks pretty much like the dog did being surrounded by other dogs :
the ominous pipe organ sounds when the big dog turns around or appears are so incredible, cracks me up every time. i love this whole short, its wonderful. nervous little dog making friends and big nervous dog helping her is so wholesome. 10/10
Two years later and this still makes me cry
I like how at the start you gave everyone no pupils/whites for their eyes, but near the end you added them. really helped me realize that the mood changed and everyone was happy c:
Can we appreciate those dogs social drinking 😂 1:05

XDD I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE HAAAA
You know when you see a short that is so good you kinda want it as a series. I want this as a dog anxiety awareness thing. I dont think a lot of people can even think that their dog might be anxious.
My cat Raichu freaks out when I'm not with him
dont tell the artist what to animate
Poor dog just wanted to get out but it ended wholesomely with that giant dog spreading awareness that he was NERVOUS and the dogs helped comfort him. So sweet.
once again thank you for all the sweet comments and love for this lil cartoon! its literally so insane that it hit peoples reccommended page like holy shit. thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch this!! please check out my composer, her carrd is linked in the description. she’s AMAZING and this cartoon would be nothing without her!! 💖💖💖
+ a lil background on this cartoon- this film is partially inspired by my own social anxiety- kindof me accepting that i have it, that its okay to feel this way + ask for help, that people are usually more understanding and nice than you make them out to be in your head 🧡🧡🧡 ( AND the main dog’s design is inspired by my late dog, though she was the least anxious dog ive ever met in my life lol )
Man i love the sound effects. Not a single word was spoken but these sound effects are an amazing touch to this masterpiece, its like a language and i love it.
bro I just appreciate the amount of words she put into 1 comment
Nice animation but your name is in french tank.
I love the messege you put here! The way you described it with your dog and daycare, not to mention the unique styles for every dog expressing their personalities, along with the unique colour and that sketch-like essense in it that reminds me of Roald Dhal's art! And that music, damn that music is just *PERFECT* in every scene! Changing atmosphere giving the audience a pin-point directory on how the situation feels for the main character. You and your composer truly are talented at such a great extent! I don't think I can say this enough but, this masterpiece is absolutely majestic in every way, from the catchyness of the music, how you attract the audience in the most successful to get the point you convey, the story, the artstyle, the atmosphere, the background, the details (yes, I saw those two wine holding gentlemen), *E V E R Y T H I N G!!!* At this much detail, we are glad we used a few mins of our day to see this greatness! You truly deserve the attention you have right now and I, along with everyone here, are glad to be in your definetely successful journey! I wish you the best of luck, char!
