I love wiring boats, I still wire all my Motorcycles, ATVs and hotrods. I am not a huge fan of the crimps I always try to solder every connection then use shrink tubing is a must if its in the elements.
Couple of things. Nice job on the install very clean. I use the same transducer mount on my pdl120. I use alot of the yakhobby products. Curious why you didnt get the extension cable for the control panel for the yakpower. I dont blame you for not wanting to drill a 2" hole in the kayak. I made a mount for mine using 1" ram ball mounts. I can send you a picture of it if you like. Always enjoy install videos. 👍🏻👍🏻
Jeff the yakpower 5 button panel with the extension cable will fit on the powerlink plate and still remain watertight if you are careful. I did it on mine and it works. Also highly recommend the Railblaza hexx live 30 pole for mounting the livescope transducer. The color even matches the gator green.
Like you said can always relocate the 5 button switch later, when adding like nav or deck lights. I think it turned out great I'd be happy with it for sure.
I have the boondox bridge as well, and I think one thing I would've liked for them to have done is make the top and the bottom fully slotted. The bottom has two slots, one on each side, that has their allen bolts that go through. I think it would've been nice to have a full slot or, a t-bolt to go through so you could use a spin nut. I used the Yakattack Loc N Load setup with the Yakattack 90 degree Mighty Mount Vertical adapter. That way I can completely take the bridge off if I want to easily with a flip of the LocNLoads. Nice work btw, thanks for sharing. I really want the Garmin to replace my Lowrance Hook 9. I'd like a pair of them but I don't think I need one until I get into tournament fishing. That'll be after I get my Titan X.
Thank you for doing this video. I sure like the narrowness of that Boonedox bar. I went with the 26” Captains Bridge on my Titan X. It’s a bit thick, but is sturdy. I can still raise my pedal drive and open the front hatch. I ordered the same Yakhobby transducer parts last night. Have you had any side scanning issues with the transducer tucked up so high?
Just a heads up Garmin doesnt recommend using zip ties on their cables. It can get over tightened and pinch inner wires. Other than that nice setup. Is there a reason you didn't end up using the native's captains bridge?
I stopped using the RAM ball mounts as they would not hold securely enough for my liking. I transitioned to the Yakattack finder mount as it has teeth that sticks. My RAM ball mount would move too often in rough water and I got tired of tightening it down all the time!
Are you still happing with the Fishing Specialties mount? Thinking about that one or the Sniper which is alot more money unfortunatly. Also, can you run the Garmin Livescope black box off the same battery as the Garmin UHD2 93sv headunit?
What else should we add to the Titan X?
Garmin Force trolling motor
What about a keel guard?
Just ordered berley pro
I appreciate the shout out brother! Glad our videos helped you with your build!
Absolutely! Love the content, keep it up!

Great video as always. If you are very careful and exact. You can drill and mount in side plate without getting into weather seal.
I did all this on my hobie, it's been really fun for an amateur fishermen to watch the fish chase my lures. Gl have fun!
I want to see you explore more ultralight fishing lures, like hard baits! There's so many cool brands out there!

I did get the extension cable I just didn't put it there. May move it later.

I may try again. The bit I normally use for it would tear up the waterproof lip of the panel, so maybe I have to finesse it.

The Yakpower 5 panel will fit the power link if u don’t mind cutting the lip of the power link.
Great video and great information and build
Thanks!

I rock a 73sv in a ice bundle bag for ice fishing and on my 12’ bass pro shop plastic Jon boat. Solid unit

I haven't had any issues, but I also don't use side scan very often.
@@aaanglers 👍 Thank you for letting me know.
There is also the Captains Bridge cross bar from Big Adventures that can be used in lieu of the Boonedox.
Did you have to buy a network adapter cable or did it come with the GLS10 black box? How long is the network cable they give you? Thanks
Network adapter comes with the FFS kit. It isn't super long, but they sell a longer one. Should be listed in the specs on their product.
Why don't you use the shrink tubing with glue?? It makes the connection water proof. So no need for the electrical tape.
So I can rewire it if I have to. It’s happened before…
Great video. I would solder and heat shrink permanent connection. Not crimp the wires
Is the side imaging on that transducer affected by having it tucked up so far? I'm looking to do a similar install later this year on a slayer max
Nope, runs great!
This was my question. I’m relieved that it works this way because I still load my slayer max on truck bed.

hmmm, haven't had any issues, just zipped tight enough to hold the cable cover. I liked the look of the boonedox over the captains bridge.
The interface on your 93sv looks way cleaner than mine. Is that an update?
This is the uhd 2 or the newest version. Sunlight readable too.
Why did you decided to go with the Garmin Live Scope over the Lowrance Active Target?
Based on other users feedback, Garmin is better
Great video's for the same setup as I have, what battery did you settle on for your Livescope setup?
Running an X2 50 Amp Hour
Will the GT56 be able to do side imaging in the hull like that? Figured there may be some interference
Yes, works good
You are just using velcro tape for gls10 install? Or is it on plastic plate?
I manufactured a plastic plate for it

If you have a spare button, install a coffee percolator.🤔🤣
I wish!
How is the Garmin UHD2 9 inch working out for you?
Great, been loving it!
Good lord this seemed so complex, I really hope there are better ways to do all this 😆
This was actually pretty easy. Some builds are exceptionally difficult
JK, I want a titan x! Is it worth the price?
To me, yes!
How did I miss this video?
why nobody fish with this kayak open water ? is this kayak for freshwater only ?
Because we live in Michigan. Most kayaks work in both. I would not recommend this kayak on the ocean though.
@@aaanglers can u tell me why ? thanks
No idea, I just go by what saltwater anglers have said... I have no experience on big open water.
Are you still happing with the Fishing Specialties mount? Thinking about that one or the Sniper which is alot more money unfortunatly. Also, can you run the Garmin Livescope black box off the same battery as the Garmin UHD2 93sv headunit?
Been fine with this mount for a long time. It’s great
This is not good, why can't I see the comment that I posted earlier??? Oh well....
