      Thank you. You might have problems with insulin production or your body is not using it well. So you are eating but glucose is staying in your blood instead of getting into your cells. So the cells are still kind of hungry. There are some other reasons but check this one first. And what do you eat?

    • @lilianengandhi3912

    • @Type-2-Diabetes
      @Type-2-Diabetes  4 года назад

      @@lilianengandhi3912 Eating like that, and especially once a day, shouldn't keep your sugar around 200. You should definitely check your β-cell function. But if that 200 is only when you feel really hungry, there's a chance that you just had hypoglycemia and your body overcompensated by increasing your blood sugar.

    I lost 11kgs within 4 months due to health reasons by having a caloric deficit, intermittent fasting,eating a balanced diet but mindful of portions, drinking alot of water, being more active and offcourse excercise, cut out sugar, refined carbs for a while, cant help the fact that I love bread and fancy cookies but I tried to have self control. Oats, sweet potatoes, beans, nuts a life saver but above all the main key is being in a caloric deficit and just assess your eating habits and be more active aiming to be healthy cause health is a state of mind and it manifests from the inside out. And to mantain my weight while progessing on my fittness journey I eats more protein, veggies, fibers, less carbs than i usually eat in the past , listen to your body there are days you might eat more or less but it is importance to know your caloric needs for your body to function well and to live sane i love food. FOOD IS KING:-).

    Sir, stop assuming that everyone that gets type 2 diabetes overeats. That is a false stereotype. I starved myself because I thought I was eating too much, which caused my insulin resistance. I didn’t over eat. And you shouldn’t be so rude to those who do. It very well could be a coping mechanism.

    • @Type-2-Diabetes
      @Type-2-Diabetes  2 года назад

      I know that some people (a small percentage) have conditions that will make them more likely to not lose weight or have type 2 diabetes, etc. However, for most people, it's physiologically impossible to have type 2 diabetes without eating a little more than what their body requires (especially high Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load diets). Please, don't starve yourself. Changing the types of food and eating a little less than you would normally eat would be fine in most cases. For the last part of your message, you are right; in most cases, it is indeed a coping mechanism; I shouldn't play at all when I mention it. Thanks

    HELLO SIR,
    I really like your channel and the hard work u have done to educate all.
    I am from India. Here our diet contain a lot of sugar, carbs and fat. I am a vegetarian. I Suffer from High BP for the past 12 years and Excess weight of around 30 kgs. I have started intermittent fasting (16:8) , walk for 1 hour and do Yoga daily. Now i eat lots of vegetables and fruits. i have Stoped eating refined sugar and processed foods and take less amounts of fat only. After watching your videos now i also know which low GI and low gly-load fruits to eat.
    I have a few questions, Plz help.
    1) I have switched to Millets roti/bread (finger millet+ pearl Millet+ sorghum) from whole wheat. Do Millets have low GI and Low load.? Also, do dates have low GI ? and lasty what about OATS? can we eat overnight oats are these helpful in reducing weight?
    2) Which cooking oil do you recommend for someone who wants to loose weight and maintain low weight for life? Can't afford olive oil and as far as i know its not good for cooking at high temperatures as suggested by many.
    3) Is it possible to reverse high BP?
    4) Does portion size matters when we eat RAW or Cooked vegetables, can we eat these as much as we want?
    5) Do you recommend Stevia, as a sugar substitute?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

      Thanks for that detailed comment. I will try to answer some of them, but my advice should not be taken without checking with your doctor. That would be irresponsibility from my part. 1- I don't have experience with Millet, I've never eaten it. But from what I checked on the Internet, it seems to be mostly carbohydrates, I don't expect the GL to be very low. The GL of dates are also high, so I wouldn't eat them too often unless I mix them withe low GL foods. There are different kinds of oats, the instant one have the highest Gl and GL. 2 - For the oil I need to know which ones you have and I can pick the best from what you have. 3 - It is possible to reduce BF if you lose weight, when I was heavier my BP was also high, now it's fine. 4 - Portion size does matter, especially with high GL foods. I will make a video on it. 5 - I prefer to eliminate sugar instead of substituting it. We shouldn't be using it in the first place.

      Cut the sugar and carbs... yah, keto... not Atkins. Lots of good vegetables, healthy meats like salmon or a fatty ribeye now and then. Some dairy like cheese is fine too, no milk. Trust me. Reversed my diabetes and my wife's PCOS. We also started intermittent and extended fasting. Check out Dr. Jason Fung. He's legitimate. Westernized humans eat far too often, too much and too much of all the wrong things. The amount of sugar and carbs alone, wouldn't be possible to take even half that amount in on a daily basis if you took all the refinement out of how our food is made.
