The foreign colours are expensive because of currency conversion from euros to rupees. For people buying it in the UK, this would be quite an affordable product and apart from the original price shipping charges are also applied which would be really high because the product is shipped from another continent.
Love these words.... "Hum Indians saste main acha karne mein mahir hai"....😍 Seriously, we Indians are good in any kind of juggad... Bdw, I also recommend camel.. saste mein achaa... ☺️
i think vincent newton is not expensive , the thing is their country currency value is more than india that's why not only watercolour almost everthing there is expensive for us
the winsor and newton he mentioned in this video is not artist grade its a student grade (cotman) that's why its not expensive but their professional line is three times expensive than this cotman even in UK
I don't know about the watercolours, but Winsor and Newton produces high quality pigment rich oil paints. Comparing winsor and newton to camel, is like comparing your garden to a forest. The man in the video tried to be non-biased as much as possible, but winsor and newton's student grade watercolours is much much worse than the artist grade paint. He should have compared camel's professional set to winsor's rofessional set. But as he stated the paint tubes are really EXPENSIVE. So in India you arre forced to use only local companies like Camel and Brustro. If winsor and Newton had factories in India, then the cost would have been a lor more cheaper. Unfortunately endorsment of art in India is non-existant and art industry here is falling apart, so companies are avoiding setting up factories in here. :(
Your Point is valid but It is fine to spend this much if one was getting original not made in China product which doesn't have standard quality like as he has mentioned
@@titiksha2959 for the price cotman are fine but winsor and newton artist grade watercolour are about 1700 rupees a tube so they are alot better but expensive
All Indian products are made are meant to support buyers budget, still give them a decent quality metarials. Not just India, there are other brand of watercolours and art supply like camlin throughout the world like this. Cotman watercolor are super great for begginers. But camlin artist gives its best in that low price. If cotman watercolor were available at that same price than it would be some chalky kids watercolour cakes!" man, your videos are amazing.. love that part when you open the brustro papers and tape down. and ye i love the camel colors too ..such affordable range.
Camlin is a good economical brand for starters. I have seen that in brands like Daniel Smith or other imported non Chinese brands for professional artists the quality factor is huge. Basically it's like all things in life : if you want good stuff you have to spend more. Camlin has an oily medium in it that gives the work a shiny surface sometimes. And the pigments are richer and vivid too in other brands. Good paper, brushes and colours equals to great work at the end of the day
Liked the video and your thoughts but Seeing from the video in the last comparison side by side w&n looks more transparent and in wet in wet it spreads while the other paint doesn't and w&n was vibrant too but it all depends on the artist and what paint he/she prefers and how much they want to invest in it. Personally I use cheaper paints as well as expensive ones .. I've learnt how every paint works and how to use it so everything works for me. 🤭
I have a lot of Winsor and Newton acrylic and oil sets . Its pigmentation is too good and its contrast is also very nice and worth its price. Indian ones are also good 😊... Mine all colour was written Made in France I ordered it from UK My friend bought it for me
Thank you for this. I have also faced this issue with Windsor and Newton the colours don’t bleed into each other. To create a blending effect takes a lot of effort.

I love watercolour painting and am fascinated by the differences between different countries’ available brands, so I’d love to hear your thoughts and comparisons. :) I don’t know if it would simply be too much hassle for you (especially since my not understanding you is definitely MY problem, rather than yours!), but I’d be really pleased to see subtitles available for some of your videos in future. :)
