Camping on Scotland's most Remote Mountain | 2 Days in The Great Wilderness

- Perhaps Scotland's most remote mountain peak as it sits very close to the point that is furthest from any road, I headed into Fisherfield (some call this area The Great Wilderness ) to climb three mountains and wild camping on one of the finest summits I have visited. There maybe more remote peaks depending on your definition but this was certainly a cracking and demanding trip to bag three of Scotland's remotest mountains ......

My older brother who’s in his late seventies is back in the highlands now sadly I have never had the pleasure of even get out of london 54 myself hope I can just be there 1 day please thanks m8t funny how people drift apart six sisters three brothers never talk it is what it is
Oh my word I’m going to be watching all of them Murray, thank you for the pointer I love long treks sometimes 8 used to get lost for a couple of weeks, I even got lost for a year once ! Best times of my life, and all my plans changed along the way as there is always that extra special place , with a lack of other people, that I just had to hang around in, I’m going to really enjoy those longer lingerings Murray, I hope you bought a bag full of scotch eggs ! 😂

I've been watching your videos for a while now and this was utterly breath-taking, informative and entertaining to watch. The amount of work you put into these is incredible. Thanks Peter - glad you enjoyed this one - I wasn’t sure if it would be well received as it’s so long but wanted to put it out as the camp on the mountain top was so good :) got more wild camping videos to edit now (although they won’t be an hour long !)

The first time I visited the Highlands in Scotland I remember thinking, "It's absolutely true what they say, you really need to see it with your own eyes". Stunning place!
Did a 60 miler round fisherfield and stayed in sheneval a few years back and I can honestly say it’s better than anything I’ve ever done. He’s not kidding when he says it’s a wilderness !
Been a subscriber to your channel for many years, Murray, and always look forward to your films, but I've never commented on one before (or anywhere else on YT as it happens). However... that has just blown me away. What an utterly stunning account of an epic trip. I re-live my hillwalking days largely through your videos nowadays as distance prevents me from spending much time in the Highlands and my knees aren't what they were. I skirted the edges of Fisherfield, did An Teallach of course, but found the remoteness and wildness of its heart just a bit too intimidating, so that has left me a bit awestruck! Thank you for the best hour I've spent in your company in a long time. As you might say... fan-TAST-ic!

When you said tonight's was going to be a long one the other night I thought...I'll just skim through it...nope, watched every single second, absolutely outstanding and IMO the best you've done, loved it, respect.

Man what a fantastic hike! It's so beautiful it's hard to believe you're not in a movie or a dream. You are so lucky to live your life in Scotland. I'm an American of scottish ancestors , and very proud of my ancestry, and very envious of people living in Scotland, but I can at least go there in videos like this! Also after that trip my feet and back don't even hurt a bit (ha) Thank you for the long, wonderful, beautiful video!

Only one word “jealous “ 19 years ago I was at a low ebb in my life so I had a week in Fisherfield, best week I ever had and even now if I get fed up I just look back on my week of freedom. Thanks for sharing ATB

That was some trip! I very much enjoyed it (I admit to speeding up the playback a bit) and appreciate how much effort went into all that filming. It takes steely determination/dedication to leave a camera running then back-track to walk or cycle past the camera, so well done. The views including the drone clips were breathtaking.
